Description : A powerful piece of epic chillout dance music that's something a little different for me. Rhodes and filter swept, bowed strings are heard a lot but there's also one section of rocking guitar, one slide resonator guitar solo, fat basses, various far out pads and other synths and 10-15 drumloops supported by 6 or 7 programmed acoustic drumkits. Look out for the funk section in the middle (3:02) with some delicate grooving from bass and guitar. Lots of beauty here so I really enjoyed making this. My favourite section is the last 90 seconds with some bowed string melodies I find highly memorable and could listen to for hours. Let me know if you have a favourite section/moment as well as any you don't like or think could be improved (that's always possible). Now press play and sample some of what never really ends in my mind but has to in track form so that people will at least attempt to listen to it. It's only a little bit of infinity as infinity is much larger than 10MB so won't fit on Looperman...Search Rating : 4.89
Description : It's been a while since I posted anything original, and the reason is I've been spending tons of time between this song and my guitar build. Both were started and finished virtually simultaneously. This song is hard to describe... those who know Spivkurl will recognize my style in this, but I have tried to take things bit further composition wise in this one. It's a bit pop for me, but oh well. All basses originated on my modular synth. Vocals are all me. Please let me know what you think! Thanks!Search Rating : 4.89
Description : Here is my contribution to the mixing and mastering competition hosted by ShortBusMusic. Spent quite a bit of time on this one, and it was mainly a morning activity for me - the song seemed to suit that feeling. Quite a bit of detail work went into the mix. Tried to keep much of the dynamics intact. Hope I have kept to the guidelines in an acceptable way. Here's the link to the competition thread... https://www.looperman.com/forum/thread/182336/mixing-and-mastering-competitionSearch Rating : 4.89
Description : Been a bit since I uploaded anything new. Been working on this track off and on for a bit now. Kind of a Zepp old school vibe.Search Rating : 4.89
Description : Chillout, funky fat 95 BPM organic electro led by some fun, tinkly arps. A bit of an organic, tribal feel, especially when the flutes are playing, and some fat smooth synth basses, plus a big fuzzy one later on as the track gets bigger and heavier. Slide resonator guitar in the second half, including a dual slide resonator solo (2 different resonators playing simultaneously sort of duelling with each other). A few drum loops but mostly 3 programmed acoustic kits. The heavy, double time drumming before the flutes return around 3:53 may be a bit unnecessary (I'm not sure, let me know). Interesting reflections, praise, suggestions and criticisms welcome and appreciated. "Nice track bro"-ers can save that unhelpful type of comment for another track (or 50). I hope listening to this transports you to a magical place, even if it is for only a few minutes...Search Rating : 4.89
Description : Following on with the mini mix I thought give it a go. Starts out techno then a bit of progressive chill and then a bit of disco house! Doesn't work as a proper club mix but just for fun!Search Rating : 4.89
Description : If you have a better idea for the name, please tell me, I can't do names. This time, I tried to do something a bit more like Culture Code (whether I succeeded or not, I don't know...). Uses the same risers as pretty much all songs I create now, and kenzo409's drums (dissected and reorganised). *This has been compressed at 192kbps to keep it under 10MB*. Still a bit WIP.Search Rating : 4.89

Description : This is another one, I had sitting on my computer for a bit, but didn't upload because of mixing issues. The mix of this one is terrible (imo), and didn't want to upload until I could mix it better. Unfortunately I have no time to mix this, so i'll just upload it as it is until I can mix it a bit better. Other than the mixing of it, tell me what you think of it thus far.Search Rating : 4.89
Description : BIG UPDATE 26/02/2014 - So, this was an 18 min track that I have now successfully split in two. 2nd half I uploaded a few weeks ago (Things That Should Always Be, with the bouncy 2 min reggae intro). This is the first half, which has a new mix, a mega chill, meditative ending and a little jazz thrown in for good measure. Takes a few minutes for beat to really kick in. Constantly evolving electric guitar, bass guitar, acoustic drums and lead banjo driven by fat, busy 80BPM grooves with a bit of a reggae and shuffle feel. Also: synth choir voices, dulcimer, violin, cello, shimmering pads. Builds up gradually to nice and rocking and then gets taken back down for the big comedown chill. I really don't know what sort of genre this is except 'far out'. I think it sounds more like a live band than one guy playing instruments and manipulating a DAW. Not my best track but a bit of blissful, sunny island fun. Real positive vibe here so I hope you give it a chance to unfold and unfurl. Sit back, clear your schedule and immerse yourself in these trippy sonic experiments cooked up deep in my off-planet underground laboratory. I have to send the MP3 to Earth via space courier (not cheap).Search Rating : 4.89

Description : A little bit of an experiment I did with fl studio's strumizer and arpeggiator tools, and it sounded a bit dull, so I remixed it and now it sounds a lot better. I used the vst plugin Tone2 Gladiator 2 for the bass and the pad, I used refx for those chimes (which was originally a piano) in the middle and at the end, and also for the drums (with the exception of the kick which was fl's fruit kick) and I also used Nexus for the sweeps.Search Rating : 4.89

Description : This track was made back in late 2008 when i was really startin to dig this drum n bass ting. I saw Pendulum live and loved their drum n bass "live rock band thing" goin on. That inspired me back then, and I've always played guitar and wanted to use it in a drum n bass track without being too over the top as to be the main element, and i also wanted to include a live feel to the drums, so i spent a bit of time fussing about with them in Live's Drum Rack with some carefully sampled snippets of a few tracks i was listening to at the time. I think i slammed this one in Izotope Ozone quite a bit on the master buss, but anyway.....you live n learn. Sort of adds a gritty edge to i think. Anyway, hope you dig it. Bass includes the use of NI's Massive & guitar through NI's Guitar Rig 2. Enjoy responsiblySearch Rating : 4.89
Description : Starts out in a jungle scene at night with some lfo'd bass and then there's the ramblings up to the 1st drop, which are probably overused a bit in hindsight and don't really make sense to the jungle scene.........so use your imagination...........i just wanted to use some sort of odd vocals that weren't sung at all. Anyway, the 2nd break has an unusually long build up to the 2nd drop which has this scary sample that has been used earlier on throughout the track come smack you right in your face along with the bass. So get ready!! Coz its gonna' hurt! A bit more loop orientated in this one, although still featuring some programmed midi stuff & some samples courtesy of freesound.org users,eric5335,yewbic & rutgermuller.
