Description : even bugs have to get out on a saturday night and shake it a little. The May flies come out in force now in Harrisburg, PA so this track honors those little buggers. Let this one percolate for a month or so and re-mixed / expanded somewhat in last few weeks.

Cool one :)
In a way it sounds like you made some -8 bit clasical postpunk in a dreamy cinematic way of electro pop- if that make any sense.
Very wild and very fresh. Also powerfull and uplifting one.
And sure it is wired hypnotic
Thanks Joe. I really appreciate your genre ideas for this one because I never have a clue about what to call my stuff! Glad you had a chance to check it out. Regards, Dan
Lets all stand up and applaude for the annoying buggers that keep us awake in the summernights :p! Creative track you produced here. The synths are well chosen for the theme. The change of synths makes it almost like telling a story. Very refreshing production!
Thanks mudhoen. For some reason I was writing a lot of bug sounds and tracks for the past few months. This was sort of a grand finale. Glad you had a chance to check it out and that you enjoyed. Best regards - Dan
I certainly don't miss the mayflies, it's too hot here for those pesky insects. hmmm... bugpop. Isn't that the noise they make when hitting those bug lights?
Creative as usual. Now a days we have bugs in out electronic devices. Hearing the electronic music and how you shaped it made me think of those types of bugs out for a joyride, creating some havoc for unsuspecting targets. Is this the joy they would express? ha!
Hey Wayne! Nice thought. Yea - maybe this is the bug (and his friends) that found their way into this track in FL Studio! Fortunately, after upgrading it seems bug worked itself out. thanks for checking in. Put up a new mix today - somewhat expanded. Regards - Dan.
Love this sound structure. I was just thinking how it would sound paired with blast beat drums from the heavy metal scene. Or some kind of massive syncopated percussion. But then i am always thinking about percussive elements .
Good work

Honestly, it ultimately did not have the bombastic effect I was hoping for and I would love to hear where you might take it. Thanks for supportive comment.
What's terrifying is the fact ants outnumber us us something like a million to one and they're super strong for their size! I think they found some food they're dismembering. If you've seen some metal concerts where the crowd in front (the mosh pit) is going in a big circle, that's the reference there. Definitetly something animated/cartoon of bugs dancing. Maybe the ants are having a ball after a hard summers work :p https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWAIOuWoa6g I love these silly symphonies.
I actually saw an image in the National Geographic which reminds me of what you are talking about. It is a massive crowd of athletes forming concentric circles into a human tower base at the center. I think ultimately this track did manage to be joyful rather than terrifying but it doesn't have the pop in parts that i want and might try one more mix. Also fadeout ending is generally a copout in my book so want to correct that.
How about an ant mosh pit? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=asfDBdob1tA Makes me think of that animated Disney movie Ants or A Bugs life. Can't wait to see the pic it gets paired with.
Burt that is terrifying! and what is going on in the middle? I do have something leaning towards cartoon or animation in my mind for the image. Figuring I will stumble onto it when I have completely forgotten about it.
Funk?? I'm afraid this is the wrong classification for this track altogether my friend. But with that being said I got more of a "Experimental" feel from this piece. Love the intricate, cartoonish-like banter of the tune, and the poly "synth" undercurrent percussion works well as an anchor to
all the complex melodies being played. I really like what you did at 2:42 of the tune with the switch up of synth sounds. Not for sure but kinda has that classic "Arp" sound.
I really enjoyed this track for it's originality and creativeness, very well done.
thanks for reading me the riot act on funk! weird is generally the safest bet for my stuff. I am happy you hear a cartoon-like banter because cartoon imagery is what I see with this one. I am actually looking for some art featuring bugs dancing to show with this track. thanks very much for the detailed comment. regards, Dan
This seems to have changed a lot since I heard it last... or possibly it is I who have changed? Either way, this is sounding powerful. It does not sound like clipping to me, but more specifically something which is mainly in the left speaker, which is probably a sample which is clicking when it is triggered or cut off. That is definitely the only distraction from an otherwise very cool creation. I like it much!
Well - we are continuously changing, evolving! But the track did in fact evolve a lot as well. this was my first track since we did all the troubleshooting. I wanted to thank you again for all that help.
i have a few theories about the clicking and I appreciate your pointing that out. I am hoping to give one more intense pass to this one and possibly add another section or two to fill it out.
glad you were digging this bugpop concept. regards, Dan
The Ugly Bug Ball moves into the 21st century! Burl Ives it isn't!This needs to be attached to some mad professor documentary about the soil and it's inhabitants.I'm thinking termites not May flies.
Ahh, Burl Ives! Didn't he do a tv role as a millionaire?
I'm happy if the music evokes some buggy imagery. This really is for something more substantial than a May fly, you are correct. It is giving me the creeps thinking about those termites! best regards, Dan
No comments yet? Well, I'll start it off. Nice track here Midi! Its very creative and gives off a happy vibe. The sounds makes this track different from other tracks out there which is always a great thing. I really like the percussion sound that comes in around 2:01. Its a nice add on. My only criticism would probably be the clipping, but that is something that can be easily adjusted with a few level changes. Any ways nice work here, look forward to hearing the rest. :)
Hey, Modnex. Thanks very much for the positive comment and sorry for delayed response. Figured I would respond when the update was ready. I'm glad you were digging the buggy sounds and the groove. Hopefully the clipping is resolved now and the whole thing is a bit more figured out. Regards, Dan

Description : Many of strangeness here ....
A link between two musical worlds quite different but united in this message of harmony.
"Silverpaw" (former Looperman) had in the depths of one of its hard drives, this arrangement that I made the past year: https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/120846
He decided to bring this theme, with a text and this voice ....
Very surreal but I really enjoyed ....
Description : I am quite open to all kind of music out there. This time I had some Church organ pipes lying around. With the help of 2nick8 and IMHO one of his best songs out there I put him into a big room and let the organs speak. Yes, maybe weird, maybe different, maybe 2nick8 will throw some egg against me ... I did it. What do you all think of it? (I changed the Genre to "Weird" in the meantime but "Experimental" would do also.
Description : I started out making this track a Vocal track, then it turned into a Chillout track but, now I'd say DubJazz, PsychoFunk or Weird. You be the Judge.
Description : Hey guys! Well, this is the first time I upload a song with my voice. I have to confess that this is not a style I usually sing. And, as an extra point, this is my first song in english. My native language is spanish, my english is not perfect, so sorry for mistakes (grammar, pronunciation, etc). Well, about lyrics, I explain the story on description of the instrumental version. If you want to read the story or hear the instrumental track, go here [ https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/146653 ]. This song was made on Magix Music Maker 2013 Premium and Adobe Audition 3.0. I hope you like it. Thanks! SUN & MOON... FIRE & ICE HEART... LIGHT & DARK FUSION...
Description : This track is only magmatic chaos hanging on a simple rhythmic skeleton. I had fun shaping and mixing the most disgusting electronic slurry.
Description : I haven't done anything in awhile. I got tired of screwing with this so just did some gain staging & panning & slapped it on here. It definitely sounds like something I would do.
Description : I wanted to do something different, TheFrenz sent me the stems to his excellent track 'Transformer' - And only one of the several versions of the track, using many of the same elements each time.
So I threw my hat in the ring with a version of my own, taking the elements of Transformer and doing some transforming. It only makes the song title that much more awesome. Music can certainly be transformed, taken to its next form...and the music can also be what transforms US. Pretty deep, man.
In a way it sounds like you made some -8 bit clasical postpunk in a dreamy cinematic way of electro pop- if that make any sense.

I enjoyed it all the way from start to the end
