Description : A collab with nicetones101. Dark , gritty and with questionable intent. crunchy riff driven guitars and atmospheric vocals weave together a solemn track.Hopefully we invoke some sort of emotion! \m/
Description : A collab with nicetones101 ! This has been awhile in the making, real life caught up with me and i had to take a little musical break. I looked over my past comments i received and i tried to put all the constructive criticism to work ! I turned the vocals up a bit , I also cut down on the effects and left a clean vocal track. I did want the chaos and the noise to still be a player in certain parts though. I tried to create two distinct atmospheres, an uneasy calm and a manic episode. I prefer headphones with this track as there is a lot going on at certain times.

Description : A collab with fellow Looperman, "dssdsdsd". He posted a pretty wicked guitar instrumental a while back of this song from KoRns Untouchables LP with a request for someone to mix it. I decided to give it a shot to complete the song. Wanted to stay true to the original as possible but didn't want a carbon copy so I tried a few ideas of my own. Added a bit of my own guitar, drums, keyboards, a lot of effects and even stepped up to the mic for a try at the vocals.
Description : Psychedelic chillout stoner/doom epic. Badass heavy riffage and drumming plus big chillout vibes. Heavy electric guitar plus slow attack lead parts. Other beauty and ambience from filter swept violins, two synth pads and some subtle female vocal samples. Also bass guitar and sub bass. Two programmed, heavy drum kits and one lighter one, to fatten up the sound.
Description : One of my greatest heavy tracks. What I find unusual is the amount of melodic and deep ambient guitar that sits on top of low, distorted riffs and fat, heavy drums. Very little synth work here apart from the sub bass, which plays almost throughout. Bass guitar in two sections and a couple of slide resonator guitar solos. Drums are a few programmed metal/rock kits, no drum loops. What I still have trouble believing and understanding is that all of the many vocal sounds in this are actually timestretched guitar parts (8x or 800% slower). I don't know why the timestretching adds such a clear vocal component to the sound. Gets darker and more intense in the middle (and towards the end) but this is otherwise quite melodic - perhaps in a way that might put off some metallers. Shitloads of guitar playing, some fairly badass, and lots of heavy, crashing drums so press play if you want to rock hard but also in a deep ambient, psychedelic way. Interesting thoughts and reflections are, as always, greatly appreciated. Detailed comments preferred...
Description : Living in the Pacific Northwest, USA, I am surrounded by countless acres of forests and mountains. Having experienced them, I know that with as beautiful and serene as they can be, so too, they can be cold, deadly and unforgiving. That's what this song is about. The wide spectrum of emotions one can feel when alone in the forest. Whether you want to be or not. Let me know what you think. --- Take care. V.
Description : heavy metal song, inspired by the movie
Description : I discovered Meshuggah around 2003 and was blown away by the power, complexity and super Heavy sound of their music. Their "Nothing" album marked the switch to 8 string guitars and pushed Heavy Metal into a whole new territory. My track is a variant cover of their song "Nebulous". I have stayed pretty close to the original but added a few dynamic elements of my own. Its loud, its super heavy and way out there...Beyond Nebulous.
Description : UPDATED!
My latest work. It would be awesome to find a singer for this.. 105 BPM
omg this track is amazing!!! i freaking love it!!
I often do not like Metal, but this time I am making an exception.
nice not what i was expecting cool old skool grunge/punk clash like huggy bear ... i loved huggy bear lol takes me back, thank you :)
Very awesome track!!!
Sounds more like Alternative and Punk Rock. The cymbals are a bit too loud. And that weird synth introduction drives the whole song into its own car crash. And the vocals, chiefly the chorus, are sitting in mud beneath the music! Vocals shouldn't sit under the music. This does a disservice to the vocals and makes her sound like Joan Jett (although at Joan's musical zenith).
Patricia!
Huge screams and cool lyrics in this ROCK song...tempo is outstanding and those riffs too...I'm not really a fan of this slushy guitar tone but it's my problem...all in all, was good to hear you in this genre...
greetings, Danke
Enjoyed it as much today as I did way back then!. Hi Patricia! Hope you are well and making music. We miss you around here and all your talent, take care!
Wayne
Shortbus 2k12
is this heavy metal ?! I don't think so !
Wow really good for NYC.
First time I have heard something so heavy from you shortbusmusic. I think Patricia must have visited the recently city.
Hi Patricia,
It is interesting piece.
Brilliant lyrics, brilliant vocals.
Bear is a wonderful and talented man too.
Very nice track.
Well done to both of you.
Jamid
Cool tune - this would work as a movie soundtrack.
Lots of 'tude.
-clindsay
very nice
I liked playing Let the Bodies hit the floor really loud in traffic especially when stuck next to an older couple, but I think I like this better :p Very punk rock like, *breaks stuff* On your way to a gig or to have your mohawk respiked and dyed? Geesh, road rage! LOL! Awesome, always good to try new styles -:D
: this is my face when Im listening to this track lmao.
however its very usable in comedy series. damn seems like Im living in 80s :D Im not an old man but however I liked your track.
Nice to revisit again. In the car I ws just listening to Slayer´s Repentless, which is pretty intense. well so is this...Awesome good release of anger!!!!!!!
Cru
This one is a stunner ! Most entertaining and energetic!
Where the hell is Barry these days? I miss the man..:(
Hat's off to both of you_____Orlando
Ahaha, that's how i feel living in Chicago now everyday. Sup Patricia, how's it been? This is Neobane but I've changed my name two times since then, I'm sticking with this one though. But can't believe I didn't hear this before, fun crazy track. Might have to drive to this, if i still had my car that is. Great session here. Catch ya around. peace
Gramo/Neo
Lol! I bet this was fun to record! I might have to keep this in my car :D
Sounds like you are channeling some Kathleen Hanna a la Bikini Kill... :) Fun track and the mix is nice and tight. Thanks for the smile, Oh and I will go move my car. :)
tv
Don't take this the wrong way but you really got a Rihanna vibe going on, as far as creativity is concerned. I say that because I admire her creativity and music, despite her being not a very admirable person. lol. You got different musical messeges instead of the same old love songs and "whoa is me". Another nice rock piece.
MOVE YERRRR STUUUPID CAARRR!!!!
Loved this. It has kind of an L7 vibe to it.
This is totally entertaining! The vocals are rockin! The instrumental is perfect! An unexpected collab from the two of you! Great work!
Awesome, I will play this in the awful Montreal traffic from now on! cathartic release!
hah, awesome - wow, you can sing anything eh...
one hell of a rockin tune, love the delayed tripped outguitars..sorry if i cut you off girl.
you rock Patricia - hahahaha !
and bear.. .yeah man !!! groovin rhythm ~_o
Very nice track. And yes, amazing to play in traffic :)
Pat and Bear,
Interesting and original. Not what I expected lol. I would class this more in the Punk genre.
Warning: If you see Patricia in your rear view mirror, let her pass lol.
Mark.
O_O This is a first for me lol....Done a small amount of time on the scene as a metal drummer and i dont think i've ever came across a female vocalist who sang metal.....haha its funny and makes for a good laugh.... but its actually really good. the screams and the yells are executed really well and are up to par with typical metal vocals....id hate to be driving in front of you lol
Patricia
I have to apologise - I still haven't stopped laughing since I first heard this!! It's such good fun and all done in the right spirit. The track behind your singing is absolutely on the money. It's a fabulous collaboration. Love it!
Richie
If I had just a little of our friend Bear`s talent I likely wouldn`t be near as humble as he is....the man is dynamite on anything of his I have listened to...I have a folder with his name on it....and this one is just a fine exhibit of you versatility Patricia....lots of energy...If I had a bit more hair I`d be shaking it or jumping in the mosh pit (no I take that part back...at my age that would kill me)...Great stuff from two big talents...way to go.....Ed
This is by far, one of the best driving songs I've heard. Your vocals took this one way over the top and it is now burned to CD's and on the IPod and will be played loudly and proudly in my car, especially when following some little old lady with blue hair who feels the need to occupy the fast lane while driving 1/2 the speed limit, hahaha.
Patricia, you could sing the phone book and make it sound great. I knew you were versatile, but this shows that you can do anything and do it extremely well. Brilliant lyrics, brilliant vocals. This should be the anthem for our nation of commuters, hahaha.
AWESOME work!!!!!
Bear
The opening to this was great! Lot's of early Joan Jett in the singing and attitude. You have such a strong vocal and I am delightfully surprised at you taking on this project, it really shows your ability to take on any genre, I'm impressed.
This is almost punk, on the heavy side of it. I just happen to have a track similar(in the ballpark) sitting around waiting for vocals. I did it a couple months ago and I waiting for some inspiration to either do vocals or find someone with the right approach to sing it. hmmmm..... you got me thinking Patricia!
I am def gonna dl this, this is too good not to. Bear is amazing how versatile he is when it comes to making music. You two hit the nail on the head. I think humor in music is essential and I must admit this put a smile on my face and made me chuckle at a few of the lines. You just reviewed my punk track and the lyrics have the same idea going, fun but sung seriously.
Great job!!
nice take on this patricia, never thought in a million years id hear this from you....but wow, very new and fresh sounding.
HAHA, now i remember why i sold my car 5 years ago.
Great job!
It's all gone a bit chicken oriental. You've done a good job with this. It's fun as well as angry.
Am i to assume that you got stuck behind a dawdler just before you did this? If i'm honest i quite like the idea that you recorded it in the car, whilst hanging out of the window & franticly waving your index finger at the offending motorist.
I have to say i wasn't expecting this and it was a nice suprise.
You're simply amazing. I love the versatility. You consistently never disappoint. I'm trippin because this would've been the perfect song for this morning, but it will be the song for the ride home...just my luck traffic will be clear lol.
lol... lol [giggles] Wow Patricia! Interesting piece. nice genre choice, however, this is like 80s punk rock meets the huge 90s grunge movement. hence, punkgrunge! love the hostility in the road rage elements in this track.
seriously, nonetheless nice work! :D
Okk if you insist I'm gonna move it! Sheesh a bit of patience Patricia! Lol!
I remember this track from Barry! Such an addictive rhythm! I like how your sounds so angry! Actually reminded me a bit of Pink Floyd!
I really find it amazing how you can add vocals to anything and definitely this was unexpected! Very cool though!
Have you ever considered starting a Heavy Metal band? Lol!
All the best!
