on ghost words of frederick baer by joecramer
Could you imagine having to live with what you've done! Proof that evil does exist. It's like the voices in his head haunting him for the rest of his days. And the psychological torture knowing you'll be caged until they kill you. I'd be afraid of what awaited. Excellent Joe! looking forward hearing the further developed version, this could get quite disturbing (even more than it already is!) So the words are the voices of his victims haunting him from the grave? Eerie!!! "Why Frederick? Why did you do this to us Frederick?"
joecramer
joecramer replied 4th Oct 2015 - 10 years ago
Every try to work on this one ends, right now, to something compleete different...... looks like this one wants to stay like it is :) but i will try it again for sure.
If someone wants to work with it, just ask for the stems.

In a way it sounds realy like the voices that haunting him by night, every night again and again.
Or like a kind of a church anywhere deep inside his mind where is no god and noone else inside. All holy and all human leav and left only shadows of sounds .....
But they could be also the voices that he heared while he did what he did.

I just tryed to make something scary for you and it ended with something that scares me too

But if you take it out of this Frederick Baer context, then it is (just) a nice deep dark soundscape that would fit in much 3D games and so on

Thanks for your kind words and all the dark insperation

stay tuned

Vlad Vikernes (Burzum) used an xbox mic to intentionally get a horrible sounding vocal on his recordings, thought of that with your description :p Beautiful...

Sometimes it can be difficult to find a vocalist, have you tried poking through the 'pellas section? Also cctmixter (similar site) has 'pellas free for use. Welcome to Looperman where you'll learn more than you could ever imagine! :p Noteflight looks pretty neat, I just got Forte, a similar program. They were doing a promotion and giving it away free for a limited time. Have yet to experiment with it. This is really good, I love orchestral music, it can be even more powerful than metal! Eq'ing and all that fun stuff, practice makes perfect :p

Thank you, phatkatz4! The warm welcome is nice. =) Thanks for the tip about cctmixter; I hadn't heard of that site before. I'll go check it out. Enjoy trying out Forte; will you let me know what you think of it? Thanks for the compliment about the track; I think I'm going to enjoy this community with its wealth of support and knowledge.

Stephen King wrote a book "Cell" about a pulse hitting everyones mobile phone and anyone hearing that pulse, on their phones at the time, were turned into zombies :p Artificial intelligence could be quite a scary thing! No emotion, regrets, ect... Kind of like The Terminator or the Matrix. Just imagine the human race enslaved by machines after artificial intelligence gets out of our control! The Resident evil story was similar. Umbrella corp. was making Bioweapons. Zombie soldiers that knew nothing but to kill. Good thing I played this on my computer and not my phone ;) Very well done, I love tracks that tell a story :p

Oh I forgot to reply you... thanks for your thought about how far technology can be and how its dangerous to be controlled by them.

"Good thing I played this on my computer and not my phone" just lol

Glad you liked that dirty and dark one with glitches :P

on Traffic Jam by Spivkurl
I listened to this this morning on SC then went to the city with all the traffic. Just kept thinking of this and how well it represented that! Sweet synth jam! :p I'm always going to think of you as a Mad Scientist of sound, always experimenting and tweaking things :D
Spivkurl
Spivkurl replied 26th Jul 2015 - 11 years ago
Hey there, thank you for leaving a comment here on LM! It's interesting that you're not the only one who mentioned the traffic jam representation... I totally have no reference point of a traffic jam from the view of a driver, and it wasn't really what I was going for. As I see, this is okay, as more people will probably appreciate it if it will work as a driving type song. I'm really enjoying all the gear I have to work with right now, more instruments than time it seems. I am mad, and I do like science, so I can take what you say as a compliment. Very pleased to read your words! Have a great day!

on Diazepam -- Drum and Guitar Experiment by Tomzovic
Great things come from experimenting! Well, unless you're making Zombies ;) I like the drums, did you program those? Mess with the velocity on the hits that should help them sound more natural. I'm not so good a programming beats so I use alot of loops! :D
Tomzovic
Tomzovic replied 18th Jul 2015 - 11 years ago
yea i program them, i dont use loops.. used around 50 patterns including drums and guitars
Burtsbluesboxes
I have to ask LOL!! Is it necrophilia if they're still moving? Can Zombies get pregnant? I know in one of the Dawn of the dead movies a zombie gave birth but I think she was pregnant before becoming a zombie. I have never heard of zombies starving to death! Good question!! Do they go to the bathroom too? All that brain meat they eat, what happens to it? In world war Z they freeze solid when they go north into the frozen lands but thaw in the warmer summer months. Great questions!! We're #####!

on ephemeral by Neomorpheus
Absolute beauty in such darkness... Music is an excellent way of dealing with depression too. I like to think in time we'll again meet those we've lost in a better place. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnQVV5m6Yws

Neomorpheus
Neomorpheus replied 17th Jul 2015 - 11 years ago
Thanks for the listen and comment Katz.
I like the "beauty in darkness" quote.

None of us can be sure of what's on the other side, or even if there is an "other" side at all. So, we just have to make the best of what time we have in this reality. Slow down, take a few moments to look at the living world around you and consider all the wonderful things there are to behold. Consider what is important to you. Make time for the ones you love and let them know how much they mean to you.

Later bro.
Burtsbluesboxes
They're getting way too smart!! Hide the women and children! Rotting Horde was just the Beginning of the madness! HAHAHA Good one Joe :D Did you see Dawn of the Dead where they start to learn? One gets a machine gun and starts to figure out how to use it. Thinking Zombies would be unstoppable! In world War Z (book) the U.S. army makes a stand and hits a horde with everything, artillery, airstrikes, small arms, you name it. The just keep coming, no fear! It's like they're walking into a meat grinder and it doesn't even phase them!

Hey Phatkatz

I wanted to sing to this nice blues track some cool vocals, and now
this a##hole who calls himself - the thinking zombie - was faster....... :)

Nice to read that you liked it.

Yeah, the moment when they start thinking, isn´t a good moment for humans :)
.....did you ever read any about zombies die for hunger?
I never heard any about it. So it looks like, they come (wherefrom dosen´t matter) and they stay dead alive for ever, until someone smashes there brain..... That must be almost the end of the evolution. Dead and alive for ever, with mind. Last step is ##### and give birth to an already dead and alive zombiechild ...... oh god.....

stay tuned

on LOD - the end of a nightmare by joecramer
I like the waves in the opening, It's like we just stepped onto the Island of Dr. Moreau. Do you want to be shot like a zombie again? I have a boiling death that needs to be put to use :p It's painless hahahaha Joe gets shipwrecked and swims to the closest Island only to find it's inhabited by cannibals. What's for dinner? Joe is :D One of my biggest hold ups has been the drums on this! I'm not that good at programming beats so I use alot of premade midi ones, then I'll edit them if needed. Since you redid the drums I'll re record the guitar and bass so we can do a proper mix :D I'll send you wav files of those. Probably be sometime next week. I'm going to be really busy the next couple days.
joecramer
joecramer replied 26th Jun 2015 - 11 years ago
There is someone on this ship on his way into his own darkness ..... he felt into sleep and a nightmare is on the way ..... In his darkest dreams he found a helping hand and a voice told him that he could leave the nightmare ...... he slowly awakes and have a look around ...... he saw that he hit an island with his ship and that it will not go anywhere else ....... after a while he leaves the ship and goes into the jungle near the beach ....... Dr Moreau already waits for him .... the real nightmare still waits around the corner ....

Don´t worry about time. Record whenever you have the time or the right feeling to do so. In between i just do something different. Maybe another zombie one :) ? or this blues one, or a zombie blues maybe ......

This drums are realy nothing special. First I just used a standart robota beat and cut it abit and place it under the track, and let the fills away. Then i cut a standart fill and mixed it again with the drums under the track and look that i have almost same power on the new drums then the one in your track. So all what makes this beat sound cool is more the original drum line with your fills and extra sounds.

PM me when you have recored anything. I will send you a link to the stems.

stay tuned
