this was probably a more successful experiment with my sound and color theories than the one you listened to more recently. Amazing how these tracks mirror one's state of mind. I think I was in a better space during the creation of this one. thanks for you positive feedback my friend.
Mmm hooman meat.... tastes better than tuna (^._.^)/ perfect match up! Looks like they're on a mission, needing more litter for her box maybe? I have a painting of Grumpy cat coming :D def need do some more collabs. Heard from Stoghs, I got some material from him to work with on something.
yea - it would probably end up being something mundane like that (needing more cat litter) for the mission - rather than needing to save the world. I guess at 56 it is time to modify my expectations but i'm not going down easy!
Dan,
If there were a correct genre listing for this, it would be abstract. You are an artist through and through; not only able to create art for the eyes but also for the ears. Fav'd.
Mark.
yea - maybe abstract would work. i appreciate the encouraging words - but I'm not creating the art for the eyes am I? If anything you are the one that does visual art as well as composition. by the by - look for an email from me relating to your art up on the site. Dan
thanks my friend. glad you enjoyed. it's great to be able to share here on this site. we don't have to be alone so much in this creative process. best regards - Dan
there is a theory that relates notes to colors and I've been messing with that. the note values you come up with have +/- cents from the tempered scale we are used to. having said that, I went back and cleaned this one up for a better overall sound. thanks for the comment and look forward to hearing your recent stuff. Dan
i'm glad you enjoyed it. it is a new approach for me and I hope to refine it. basically choosing a limited note set based on some color scheme in a painting. peace.
it is a lot detuned notes and it does grate subtly. I know exactly what you mean. but I suspect this is going to be the basic sound in this "genre" I am trying to develop which relates colors to specific tones. maybe I should put a disclaimer "madness likely" when i write these.
yes -this is not ambient music to go to sleep by - it is a disturbing, alien communication. it is music trying to be color. strange and foreign sounding. i have no idea what I am doing but i am going to try a few more of these and hopefully I won't lose too many friends along the way! thanks for your comment.
So the master is the fat furry one on 4 legs right? ;) Kinda feels a bit abstract mid eastern with the syntar sounding synth and the desert enviroment :D Fits the pic well :p Now feed me hooman right meow!!
This is surrealistic (we can say weird in music) as the painting...
Interesting tones you used, everything is quick as in a fast film or an old bacelit in 33'...
i don't know whether it is lack of time, or patience, or brain that keeps me from developing these further and better, brother - but I'm grateful you appreciate them for what they are! I'll fix the genre. thanks.
this sounds to me like some kind of a raw electronic piece. Did you played synths in a real time or it's just a kind of midi sequencing and layering the plugins happening? Just curious of your creative process on this one. Also I think that you may consider letting the reverb play itself out and allow the sound dissapear into space at the very end of your composition.
Other than this is some interesting one, reminding me of an analog synth work à la Spivkurl at parts even haha...
hey, alex. my stuff is always programmed 100%. I don't have any chops to speak of on keyboard or otherwise. I took your suggestion and gave the track a reverb tail but surprisingly it did not add much. surprised that you drew a comparison to spivkurl work! nice to hear from you always! Dan

Description : Many of strangeness here ....
A link between two musical worlds quite different but united in this message of harmony.
"Silverpaw" (former Looperman) had in the depths of one of its hard drives, this arrangement that I made the past year: https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/120846
He decided to bring this theme, with a text and this voice ....
Very surreal but I really enjoyed ....
Description : I am quite open to all kind of music out there. This time I had some Church organ pipes lying around. With the help of 2nick8 and IMHO one of his best songs out there I put him into a big room and let the organs speak. Yes, maybe weird, maybe different, maybe 2nick8 will throw some egg against me ... I did it. What do you all think of it? (I changed the Genre to "Weird" in the meantime but "Experimental" would do also.
Description : I started out making this track a Vocal track, then it turned into a Chillout track but, now I'd say DubJazz, PsychoFunk or Weird. You be the Judge.
Description : Hey guys! Well, this is the first time I upload a song with my voice. I have to confess that this is not a style I usually sing. And, as an extra point, this is my first song in english. My native language is spanish, my english is not perfect, so sorry for mistakes (grammar, pronunciation, etc). Well, about lyrics, I explain the story on description of the instrumental version. If you want to read the story or hear the instrumental track, go here [ https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/146653 ]. This song was made on Magix Music Maker 2013 Premium and Adobe Audition 3.0. I hope you like it. Thanks! SUN & MOON... FIRE & ICE HEART... LIGHT & DARK FUSION...
Description : This track is only magmatic chaos hanging on a simple rhythmic skeleton. I had fun shaping and mixing the most disgusting electronic slurry.
Description : I haven't done anything in awhile. I got tired of screwing with this so just did some gain staging & panning & slapped it on here. It definitely sounds like something I would do.
Description : I wanted to do something different, TheFrenz sent me the stems to his excellent track 'Transformer' - And only one of the several versions of the track, using many of the same elements each time.
So I threw my hat in the ring with a version of my own, taking the elements of Transformer and doing some transforming. It only makes the song title that much more awesome. Music can certainly be transformed, taken to its next form...and the music can also be what transforms US. Pretty deep, man.
