speaking of hungarian bands, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_FJEoXwkNE and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9F7b4skyUy4 HAHAHA Bet you'd never expect to see bagpipes, accordion, fiddles, oud all used in metal! You'd probably like a band called Faun. They use ancient acoustic instruments combined with modern musio, not metal but very good. Alot of your music reminds me of their style. I got a hurdy gurdy vst hoping to make some music with soon as well as loops. Love acoustic guitar, I need a full sized one!! Very cool track! See hat great things come out of experimentation, as long as your not making bioweapons (zombies, monsters, viruses, ect) that is LOL!

Hey, thanks for the links and the listen. Glad you liked it. I have marimbas in several tracks and I would think they would not fit, but they do.

Later.

add 'at yahoo dot com' to my name. Mp3 or wav is fine. I'll see what I can do with it and send you the wav files. Key refers to the scale used for composing, simply put. Not big deal, I'll figure it out :p I can only read enough music to where it no longer looks like chinese writing to me hahaha Maybe BS will send you something too and you can layer it all making it a looperman jam session like this one https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/143435 :D

on Elephant by Orlando51
Cinematic is a pretty broad genre. I can picture this in one of those nature videos. A herd of elephants grazing and meandering about in the grassland. Where it gets a bit more intense maybe the males are fighting for dominance, then it mellows out like the mother elephant tending her young. Excellent piece, you truly are a master painter with sound.

I agree about the genre and I admire your imagination !:)

Many thanks for listening, for this lovely comment, and ofcourse for the 'fav'...means the world !:)

With much appreciation_______Orlando

Lead guitar and bass would finish this nicely :p What key, bpm? I play both ;)
SubChief
SubChief replied 17th Nov 2015 - 10 years ago
I am not smart enough to tell you what key it is in. I can't read music or anything. Hell I don't even know what chords I am playing, I just know they are a chord. HAHA. But its tuned down 6- C# and the rest a half step. Played at 85 BPM on a 4/4. I email BradoSanz the files he was gonna goof around with it, id be happy to do the same for you if you'd like to add your flair. I am always down to play with someone and hear their stuff even if its through online haha.

on Stop the wars by JasonCroft
What about the zombie wars? I love the use of sound fx, it's so addicting LOL! I like the concept. Ever see the series 'Life after humans'? Nature retakes what was once hers erasing the damage we stupid self important humans have created. Well thought out music and deep concept, excellent job. That's the best stuff! :p Artificial Intelligence, no feelings, no cares. Will kill all humans and not be effected until they realize we were needed unless they learn to care for themselves.... possibility!

thanks for your great words
you are right my friend
all of us are living with a hope
hope to be friends, hope to stop our fights
maybe someday all of humans can understand that we are parts of each other
and we can't live without each other

on Nature Haunts with Pete Tebar by DanGoldstein
The Hills have eyes is a horror movie set in I believe the Arizona desert mountains. There's a group of deformed people, deformed by radiation and pollution as well as inbreeding, living in the hills killing anyone unfortunate enough to travel through there. Wrong Turn is similar. There's a group living in the woods of Virginia. Similar to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies. Quite violent. The song with the pic is like being in the woods having escaped the hill people and seeing the freedom (the light) but can we make it before they catch up? This is the first scene from Wrong Turn 2. Enjoy this grossness :p https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cmOggklDl6s

now I am behind on both your literary and cinematic recommendations. I may just have to rely on your for reviews at this rate. will check out that youtube though. Did you look at the contest art? Anything there that interests? I actually started a forum thread, though it is just a few posts by me so far. http://audiosparksforart.com/forums/topic/november-2015-contest-updates/

and all the art is here: http://audiosparksforart.com/profile/Mona/

If composer's pic is there it is claimed.

I see the light and an escape from these dark woods! But I'm scared of the light hahaha 3:D> Very cool you two :p Makes me think of Wrong Turn, the deformed hill people killing everyone that comes into their woods, like The Hills have eyes. Mona's looking better, I see she had some serious plastic surgery.

Is that a movie? I'm in the mood for it. Yea - Mona keeps getting foxier. Comes from listening to horror tracks.

on Crucify Me with partial Vocals by topvega
Your vocals are fine :p The Vocalist for My Dying Bride said in an interview he's a vocalist not a singer because he understands he can't hit the notes like a singer. You sound just as good , even better than some, ;) professional rock bands out there. I like the addition. Ever heard Brittany Spears sing without pitch correction? It's AWEFUL!!!

WOW 2 tracks!! Overwhelming, I mean what are you going to do with all those LOL! Can you play ukulele like this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtwXdKkO75E 3:D> Muhahahaha!! Still waiting for your duet with Joan Baez ;) Well done TA, I love folk.
toastedavalanche
toastedavalanche replied 8th Nov 2015 - 10 years ago
Yeah, I meant to write two takes for each instrument. But I was so tired that the only thing I could proof read were the Z's spewing from my mouth.
Alas, I cannot play ukulele like that. I had to sacrifice a field of goats and half my family just so I can use Ableton with reasonable efficiency. I fear if I invest more of my resources in into improving my musical talent, I will have no one left to play to!

TA
Burtsbluesboxes
panning instruments will help with the overwhelming of each other. Each instrument should get it's own space. Like double the piano track for example, then pan them out 40 percent each R and L. I double the drums and pan 20 percent R and L.Vocals center. bass center or 10 percent panned L and R to widen it. All personal preference as for how much, which instrument ect. but it helps. Practice makes perfect :p Sounds good. Vocals line up nicely, and I know that can be a challenge sometimes! :D

congrats you just win the famous Complete pack for yous story about ghost.

I will pm you with the information to get your complete pack.

Seriously you will not get the pack 2 times sorry XD

This is more than a corrected version; I did also revise all the panning effect for the growls to make them "moving around you" like the strange monster seek you.

btw why you thanks me ? its not me to thanks you about taking time to play the new version ?

Anyway Peace and Handshakes from Byleth in Apocrypha :P

on Mora Done by Byleth
YAAAYYY!! Elder Scrolls! :D I'm on a quest for the endless library in the realm of Apocrypha. Shrouded in mist, surrounded by acid filled seas, what lurks in their murky depths,I don not know or want to! I trudge forward, when suddenly I spot it poking out of the fog!! I enter and gaze in awe at the seemingly infinite shelves of books stretching out in all directions. I join the ghost inhabitants frantically searching through the non descript black bound books eternally seeking the knowledge of the ages until I as well become a ghost bound to this existence. :p Very cool epic track!

Zombies.... Got to to love 'em :p I'm sure this is a very common scenario during a zombie apocalypse. Will they still eat her brains, even though they have to scrape them up? Good thing she didn't hang herself! She'd just come back and be stuck hanging! Love it :D
p.s. your track was in the final drawing for the halloween one.
Asuna
Asuna replied 3rd Nov 2015 - 10 years ago

I like your zombie singer :D I bet he hangs with Rotting Horde's singer at the local zombie blues/jazz club. Pretty good, all done with loops! So they're all chilling having a well deserved brew after a frightful night? :D It is hard work scaring the crap out of people.

on Nature Haunts with Pete Tebar by DanGoldstein
Now this sounds like a house I want to visit!! Why is it always haunted houses and not haunted banks? I like that kick, sounds like a heartbeat. AAAHHHH!! WHAT WAS THAT!!!!! Awesome Dan!
DanGoldstein
DanGoldstein replied 15th Nov 2015 - 10 years ago
Pete's contribution took it into the dark, mysterious woods. Of course witches love the woods. But there is a sense of journeying in his groove - like journeying through a ravine walled in by trees. At least that is my narrative of convenience so I can assign this one to one of the music for nature art contest paintings! It seems all my kick drums sound like heartbeats - except maybe Metal Bass!
