Really nice man,
I can really feel the soul here.
it sounds really professional
Its really nice to have a song like this in the background,
while drinking beer with my friends or something.
neat guitar work! it can't be easy to put together a "live band" jam session like this sharing tracks online. It is a very convincing performance. well done!
A most excellent track, Alex! I love the clarity and musicianship you have created. Also great to see you've teamed up with one of our bandmates, Franco.
hey Burt! thanks for listening and nice words. I gave a backing track to ferryterry but it was a different backing then. once he recorded guitars I reworked all the rest completely.
This is a great great track and insta-favourite. The guitar is played soo nice and the supporting rythm and keyboard fits perfect. Grat collab. You should work together more often if you would ask me.
normal im weak when listen to a nice bass guitar. you got all for 58sec, but you should work more on mixed a full song it isnt eazy one of the main reason i dont do it.
hi. thanks for listening and your comment. I do not really understand what you mean by saying all that because it is already mixed and it is a full song. but thanks anyway!
Ferryterry's guitar awesomely soars through the synth, into the mix. As I listened, I pictured an old film-noir setting. Mysterious and chill. Great listen!
There has to be a limit to how many go in my favourites ... I've put so many in just today!
This one included.
I think I'm fussy but the quality of stuff some of you are turning out is incredible.
Great piece.
ferryterry has recorded great guitars to one of our current projects but I slightly modified the harmonic context behind his guitar lines afterwards so it sounds like a B phrygian mode used at parts. In fact there's only a electric piano playing the 'phrygian' notes.
Thank you again for your nice comments and the fav.
Hey Alex.
Sublimely awesome this track is.
Ferry Terry is such a talented musician with his loops and you have mixed his guitar work in masterfully. the keyboards are so soft and subtle but perfect as you showcase the awesome guitar work. It almost sounds like a live recording.
Awesome work my friend
Steve
thank you so much for your kind words. you can't imagine how much time and energy I put to reach out some excellent musicians from the site personally these last months. this one is simply a result of the work I am doing with ferryterry for quite a long time now. Indeed I started with only mixing his loops few months ago but this one is an entirely new and original project. I gave him backing track and he made great guitar recordings so I could produce this track. I am really happy you liked my keyboard work (I played bass guitar from the keys as well), drums are EZdrummer performances.
Classic rock fusion you've done here! Ferryterry is a very talented instrumentalist, and it's good to hear you work together. Super groovy and relaxing. You always lay it down with your e piano work, and I respect that! The ride cymbal really adds a lot to this mix, it almost seems like a staple of the style to my ears. Good way to come in from the Sunday heat. I love it! Fave!
hi. thank you for listening and good words! This is a bit different from ferryterry's usual prefference (he is a bossanova guy). I applied an 'Ampire' plugin which is a kind of vintage amp set of effects, it gives that classic rock flavour to the guitar sound I guess. Yes, I am on the keyboards as always but I had to play bass also this time (from the keyboard of course) haha. Sunday is hot as well here but it is the end of a day so I can chill myself out now...
thanks for your nice comments! all the best to you, alex
the other day I have sent a funk backing track to ferryterry and he recorded many different cool things. I made this track this Sunday morning juggling with different parts of his guitar lines. I found 2 different chord progressions so finally I changed a bit the harmonic context (as played on original backing track) behind the actual guitar lines.
thank you again for friendy comments. I am really happy you enjoyed this one.
This is cool...what is curious that you are in the humble 'shadow' throughout the whole track...hats off...great prog rock with huge guitar play and pro arrangement...
thanks a lot danke! ferryterry is a real star here. at first I was thinking of alternating his guitar and my keyboard solos but then I realized there's nothing much I can make at the moment on the territorry of keyboard soloing so it's entirely driven by his guitar playing (which is cool).
thank you again for nice words. it is much appreciated.

Description : This is my newest creation, at a stage very near to completion. No third-party mastering or mixing, as with all my tracks. Just have to fix a few tiny things. I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO MIX EVERYTHING IN THE SAME SESSION. This song has all human-played instruments - no quantization or MIDI! My brother does all the vocals except for the interlude part, which I do. My other brother plays the rhythm guitar (a Gibson Les Paul Custom - only one of 12 in the world!!) and I play the accompanying guitar (a Johnny Mar Jag and PRS). He has a lot of guitars :P A good friend of ours, Ronnie, plays the bass and another friend, Freddie, plays the drums. The drum track was done in one take (had to use an electric drum set due to time constraints - but acoustic kits are so much better). Overall, pretty satisfied with the result. Let me know your thoughts.
Description : Feel free to check out the lyrics video on YT as well :) This is a new track based on the great vocals by Ashes and Dreams! Again, a mix of electronic/progressive/rock, any feedback is welcome
Description : The first track I sing on. Cheap stage mic & no fancy plugins. Heavily guitar laden to the point it's got a bit of a shoegaze thing going on. I pulled the lyrics out of my ass & yes, they're a bit silly.
Description : This song was not supposed to be the fourth track of "Diverse waves", but it finally is. Anyway it's a rock oriented track with some interesting sounds. I hope you like it. Worked in zenbeats DAW, by Roland.
Description : BIG UPDATE 26/02/2014 - So, this was an 18 min track that I have now successfully split in two. 2nd half I uploaded a few weeks ago (Things That Should Always Be, with the bouncy 2 min reggae intro). This is the first half, which has a new mix, a mega chill, meditative ending and a little jazz thrown in for good measure. Takes a few minutes for beat to really kick in. Constantly evolving electric guitar, bass guitar, acoustic drums and lead banjo driven by fat, busy 80BPM grooves with a bit of a reggae and shuffle feel. Also: synth choir voices, dulcimer, violin, cello, shimmering pads. Builds up gradually to nice and rocking and then gets taken back down for the big comedown chill. I really don't know what sort of genre this is except 'far out'. I think it sounds more like a live band than one guy playing instruments and manipulating a DAW. Not my best track but a bit of blissful, sunny island fun. Real positive vibe here so I hope you give it a chance to unfold and unfurl. Sit back, clear your schedule and immerse yourself in these trippy sonic experiments cooked up deep in my off-planet underground laboratory. I have to send the MP3 to Earth via space courier (not cheap).
Description : This track was like the inhale after an exhale of aggressive industrial-electro-sludge tracks that I had put out that summer and fall. This was the more reserved, and introspective winter track. It's nothing spectacular, but I still really enjoy it. I hope you do too. Take care. V.
Description : when i was a kid you could go down and buy acid drops at the dairy - sour boiled sweets....vox, guitars and keys by me. Bass a LM loop by megapaul.

this is all an illusion. music is an illusion, sorry to say. live performed or digitalized it is only a thought (which is an illusion in itself).
again sorry for such a spiritual tone here. hope you do not mind anyway.
thanks for checking out my tune and nice comments. it is appreciated.
best to you, alex

Your work set the focus extremly well on the guitars.
Did you play over the guitar or did he play to your music?
(dosen´t matter to much, ´cause it sounds very well)
Cool one and i enjoyed this one a lot.respect!

Nice Sunday to you, alex
The track is very creatively constricted.
Beautifully laid out, the guitar is perfect for it
Well done.
