Description : Prepare thyself for an epic hard rock, metal, grunge and ultra heavy funk assault featuring shitloads of heavily layered and sometimes weirdly effected guitars (including slide resonator), multiple basslines (bass guitar + 3 synth basses), a few other synths and a bunch of programmed hard rock and metal drumkits. There's a bit of hip hop in the middle, some hints of reggae (from the guitar) and d'n'b (from the drums) in places. So much energetic guitar, so many double kick and crashing drums and sub basses make for a difficult mix. I wanted it to be absolutely banging but not clipping and distorted. I think I did OK there because it sounds half decent played back on shitty, bassless laptop speakers. If you don't like heavy rocking guitar, you won't like it. But, if you do, you might just love it. It's not just evil metal - I've tried to also keep it funky and melodic as that's more my natural home than all-out brutality. There are a few relatively quieter and strangely chilled out sections as it builds back up to new forms of heaviness and layered psychedelic weirdness. Perspectives and viewpoints welcomed - the more in-depth and interesting the better (the bigger, the fatter, the better). You might want to turn your speakers and sub bass up now...Search Rating : 7.77
Description : Do not freak out just because this is jazz! There's also blues, rock, funk and a little hip hop in it to break up the deep, chillout jazz sections - gets particularly rocking then funky at the end. Main bassline (the track's foundation) is recycled leftover slide resonator guitar parts detuned one octave to make a slide bass sound. Also features: piano, violin, hammered dulcimer, organ, ethereal pad guitar, bass guitar, jazz/blues/rock electric guitar and multiple programmed acoustic drumkits. This was difficult to make at times as I thought I needed more leads parts eg from sax or trumpet. But I'm happyish with the end result. I expect very little interest in this as it's both jazz and long jazz. But it's also an unusual type of genre-mixing jazz. So, leave your thoughts, good or bad, if you like...Search Rating : 7.77

Description : How to best describe this one? A chilled out beatnick alternative rock with a sort of Jazz and folk thang going on? Used a drum loop, a shaker loop, two bass loops, laid some guitar tracks on it. One Guitar duplicates the upright bass loop, another one strumming the chords and another that's picking at some notes in the chord higher up. Laid down a main vocal track, added a faint darker back up vocal track. Also have a spoken track panned to the left. Actually this is one of those stereo recordings that is made for headphones..... The lead vocal floats around some between the center and slighty left at times. The lead is actually my Acoustic, which I added guitar effects to in Music Maker. Sound like it's an electric. I used my cheap ASS labtec Walmart special PC mic to record the acoustic and sing through.. I tried to make this mix a little hotter and more sperated compared to my last ones. Hopefully the vocals don't stand out in front so much but rather blend with everything else. Oh yeah, I'm using a couple of FX loops.. one is the old record player sound in the start of the song, used another one where the lead guitar starts off. The lead is basically almost the same riff as the bass line. Let me know how the mix is on this one, if it's any better compared to my last few?Search Rating : 5.83

Description : This is a 2020 collaboration between NDAPOCKET123, JYNXZ and yours truly. I put this together from the guitar template (titled SOMETHING ELSE 4YAH) by Ira (NDAPOCKET123) and then invited JYNXZ to jam along. I thought it would be best in a kind of live club atmosphere.Search Rating : 5.83

Description : this was taken from a jam session where I set up my mic and was learning chords on guitar and I randomly started singing/adding lyrics as I played along. this one came pretty easy because I wasn't worrying about timing lol. Also, I think it would sound better if the vocals/guitar were separate though. vocals could sound better too as well. It could be decently produced once I learn how to properly play guitar. I made this a month or so agoSearch Rating : 5.83

Description : A song about a train, Jimmy on guitar and his life long friend Billy experimenting with an old Kalamazoo lap steel, a late addition. Fender Tele through a Fender Princeton. I attribute two train loops by Daniel Simion at Soundbible. The third train sound is a guitar loop with effects. I play the bass, sing, acoustic guitar, wrote, arranged and mixed it. Might have the singer in Jim's bluegrass band redo the vox at some point. The guitar tunes tracks and mixes listed here are copyright and may not be used in your projects.
