Description : A new song that was released in 2013 by me.
Edit 2014-01-05
After a nice feedback from StaticNomad I decided to do some mastering on the track. I also added variations to the drums and bass. Thank you for your feedback!
End Edit
Edit 2014-12-31
I had to do something with this song. Added a new drum layer and modified the guitar.
End Edit
This time I just tried to find a horn to start with and then i wanted to continue with a guitar. I was improvising 100% and the guitar track was completed within three tries.
Using the Antidote rack extension played through a Line 6 Guitar amp with the Wah Drive pedal. The Horn is pure synthesizers build on my two favorite rack extensions Antidote from Synapse and Rob Papens PredatorRE.
Hope you enjoy it!

Thanks for your comment. English is not my mother tongue so I actually have no clue what you mean with that. But I can and I will assume that it is positive in some way.
Loved how groovy this track was. Trumpet playing was superb, and the transition to electric guitar was fluid and smooth. Really liked this track! Look forward to hearing more rock/funk songs out of you!
Well chill out aint really my area but i see this has recieved quite a lot of attention already. It's easy to see why as were straight in with some nice soloing. Are those synths or is that a real sax? It sounds very authentic and i need to get me one of those. This is really great, there's no two bars the same and i like the retro feeling of the backing track.
I really enjoyed this piece of tunage!!

It was good before Anders and I hear you`ve bumped it up even more with your changes...really like the horn part in particular and I cant remember exactly how your original version compares, this one is a real smooth ride...the synth lead part is well done and while the distortion is a bit different it does distinguish it from the usual and that is often a good thing...You obviously put a lot of thought & work into this one and it shows in result...a big well done to you...Ed
SUPERB! love the guitar and the horn, really does fit together nicely, and I liked the whole feel of it, though wish it could have been longer. If I was to change anything, I would just add a little more percussion and maybe an electo piano break to compliment the guitar, now that's just me tinkering there is really nothing wrong with this as it stands, and hope you don't mind me mentioning it. A really good piece of music and going to be a fav.
Best wishes,
Mark/Larry!

I totally agree. I Also would like to bring back the horn at the end of the song.
Let's see what's happening.
The synth horn work most impressed me. the distorted synths are interesting but basic distortion, you need to get a guitar processor. and you will have so much fun playing this as the solo is very interesting.
Steve.. good work overall
Yes, I think the drum track in this could be improved with something Like EZ Drummer. There is other similar drum software (BFD) but Superior and EZ are what I have and know so I have recommended them a lot to people on this site. Two people have even gone and bought it, partly because of my advice.
It's a pity you missed out on the Black Friday deals last month. I saw EZ Drummer being sold at 75% off. That's very cheap!
I've given up trying to get REs to work. I think I need to uninstall some elements or something (I'm using Reason 7). But there are so many REs I would love to have. If I get them to work, I'm sure I will go a bit crazy and buy lots of them!
Hi. I listened again and can hear some improvements, especially the extra open hat at 1:16. I was thinking maybe ride cymbal but the extra hat works OK. Maybe some larger drum fills would help too.
Sure, it's fine to mention me in the track description. I give out a lot of advice and feedback on people's tracks (writing often quite a lot) and occasionally they take it (and let me know).
My suggestions may sometimes be totally useless but I just call it as I see it so it's at least fairly honest. I guess I'm describing what I would do or want to happen but have no idea if the track maker shares much in common with my tastes.
Anyway, I always prefer specific feedback, tips and suggestions to simply "Great job. Loved it".
Unfortunately, a temporary technical problem stops me from listening back to the track right now but I look forward to doing so later.
I see you're a Reason user. Me too (13 years) but I still can't get REs to work, which is very annoying as some look great.
Hi. This is definitely a cool groove and the trumpet has a warm and triumphant feel to it though I guess it's a sample-based instrument.
This is basically a short epic. Sounds like it might be used as a theme tune or for some other titling or outro music for TV.
One problem I have is how dry the drums are. Snare also doesn't ring out. Sounds gated or something. I'd also like the drums to change and get bigger, perhaps move to ride to drive things along, especially as the guitar gets more intense and goes higher around 1:16. Would give the track a big lift there.
But this is a fun short trip that I guess also has a bit of an 80s feel to it.
Probably the best feedback so far! It inspired me to apply some changes. There is a new version out now and I had to mention your alias in the track description, hope you don't mind!
Hey aelmen...this is one extra cool groove of a track...got a lot of what I like in it...enjoyed the ride all the way....great job...keep on...I could use lots more like this one...Ed

Description : This one has been sitting on my computer for a bit now but didn't really like it. My friends say it can use some vocals and I think that is what this one needs. If there is anyone who wants to put some vocals on this, send me an email at .magic41151@yahoo.com. or post below. Thanks for tuning in and have a great day!

Good luck with your drum programming.
Still a good piece of music.
Virkelig godt arbejde!
I think I'll need to get in to this EZ Drums.
Hope you can get the RE to work in Reason (works with Reason 6.5 and later) They give the application and inspiration a great uplift.
Cheers, Anders.
Det här är ju hur bra som helst - retro och nytt på samma gång och riktigt, riktigt bra mastrat dessutom.
In other words: Awesome!
Love the horn.
Ja kul att du gillar det! Fasen, bara man lägger lite tid på att få till ljudbilden så blir det bättre.
Hörs!
