Description : You probably haven't heard this track, unless your german.
It's a track a made with a german hip-hop artist some time ago. Thought I would share it with you guys.
The manager disliked the whole drum setup, so it ended up a bit different on the album. I like this version better tho.
NB. The record label owns the final mixed version of the track. This has not been adjusted properly, which is why it's peaking all the way through. Still shouldn't be a big problem tho.

Description : Completed for MitiS' Beatport Play competition, for which I used his vox and arp stems. Now, production: I recently got a Comb Filter (MComb) to mess around with after browsing various EDM forums and FM8 tutorials, thus you'll hear its use on the high-pitched noise riser throughout the song. I've also tweaked my kick a bit; I've taken the initial 75 ms of WhoAteDaMuffin's Dubstep Drums kick and created my own sub bass tail within the Ultrabeat drum machine, putting the pitch and gain through a decaying envelope. As an experiment I've also low-cut my crash cymbals at about 700 Hz and given them a subtle hi-pass noise tail, and I've revised my typical hi-hats pattern. Other than that, the entire thing was made using the ES2 Hybrid Synth, EXS24 sampler (for the piano) and Ultrabeat drum machine. -

- I've also experimented with attempting to give the track some form of decent mastering. The track was bounced and the audio file was imported into a new project, onto which I applied a formula of: Low cut (20 Hz), High cut (20 kHz), Gain (1 dB), Compressor (1:7:1 ratio), Multipressor, Stereo Spread (limited to the higher frequencies to spread the noise), two Linear Phase EQs (one peaking at various frequencies, the next cutting 3 dB off at 670 Hz) and an adaptive limiter at the end. Phew! Hopefully that won't smash the waveform into the ceiling/floor as much. ----

Description : My Dad found his old 8-track recorder. I think he was going to ask me if I was interested, but I was already half way to my room with it and a new song forming in my head.
This track is more of a straight-forward folk song. The opening is completely recorded on the 8-track, so it's a bit more lo-fi. Then the track kind of opens up into a cleaner chorus. I hope you enjoy my little experiment.

Description : Hello again! More chill one here, main two loops provided by mingote. I think I am on a mingote fix but I really like the loops I have heard so far and wanted to try a few tracks with them. Drum/perc loops provided by proecliptix, and I added the rest. I know a few parts are a bit off but Im not trying to make perfection, just ideas you know and I'm bad with details so I don't even. Hopefully going with the name it does have an ethereal Aphrodite feel to it ha. Thanks!

Description : ABOUT the TRACK This song came about thinking about my life so far. The utter terror of knowing that it could all end at the snap of someone's fingers, and the near infinite love I have for my friends and for music. This track will not be free (So sorries) Soon a fellow artist is going to put lyrics to this track and a friend of mine is going to make a picture for it. (since my singing and pictures are utter rubbish) This is a new breakthrough for me. I am actually a bit proud of my advancements, I hope I am able to continue this in the future.

Description : Hey guys, after a bit I'm back with a new original track 'Solstice.' This one features some more summery vibes, with some house elements added in as well. I tried to take all of the longing I have to visit the beach again this year and wrapped it all up into this track. I hope you enjoy, and any critiques/comments are welcome!

I am also looking for a singer/songwriter to write some vocals for the track as well. It will be featured on a fairly large label and will be released as an exclusive track there, so it would be great exposure for both of us. However, that means that we would need to make the production quality extra high, so I need someone with experience. I hope that we can make something awesome here guys! Description : Now for a bit lighter topic I thought I uploaded one of my most recent tracks. I wanted to make a very deep synth and think I managed to do so. Description : I always find it so interesting to experience how a track moves into an unexpected direction while creating it, just because of adding vocals to it.

Before I added the great vocals of Epic Record , the track was mostly about just atmosphere. After adding, all of a sudden, the atmosphere changed, the feeling changed, but still in the same context.

I had to process the vocals a bit to make it fit the track (120 bpm -> 110 bpm, different key, second voice).

Description : This started out as hip hop but quickly turned into something much more beautiful, psychedelic and epic though I've still kept the hip hop drums plus added many others. There is a quite a lot of lead bass guitar, sometimes layered, which is partly why I'm dedicating it to Evisma as he loves a good bit of bass layering and has influenced me. Also: electric guitar, resonator guitar for the obligatory slide solo (you've got to have it - it's the law in NomadLand), big pads plus haunting granular synth choir voices, two very different types of programmed VST guitar, fat synth basses, a few drum loops and various programmed acoustic drum kits. There's some deep chill and funky grooves in this constantly changing journey of unravelling sonic mysteries though it gets much more uptempo and rocking in the second half. Interesting thoughts, reflections and ideas are always welcome in NomadLand. Warning: fat beats and deep psychedelic sounds ahead...
