Description : Hello everyone! Here is my remix of Xyilent's original track entitled "Pixel." His track was so amazing. His track was so highly favored by me that I just had to do a remix of it, with his permission of course! I was stuck for a short bit though. We both used Fl Studio, and he sent me the flp file, but I'm still using FL Studio 10. Let's just say the file said "no." So I did everything from scratch, excluding the key patterns that Xyilent himself made. I made this into a dance type mix. This features Nexus keys, synths, and shaker fxs. This also features live keyboarding at a certain break. Thanks to Xyilent for letting me take a chance to do this. I hope I did his creation justice in this remix. Tell me you all's thoughts! Please enjoy!

Also, please don't forget to check out the original done by Xyilent himself : https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/163977

Description : EDIT: you can download the full album for free http://mrwolf14.bandcamp.com ....... EDIT 19.Feb 2015: according to the inputs from StaticNomad I have removed one "theme". I have also changed the drums (little edit still needed, e.g. the hi-hat in the middle section is a bit too high). Thanks Guys! .......
Second song from my collection. This is actually the second pella I downloaded from Looperman, hence it has to be the second song on my list.
A previous mix was already uploaded here and probably some of you have already heard it, so it's nothing new.
Based on a GREAT vocal hook by Farisha: https://www.looperman.com/acapellas/detail/4337/walk-away-hook-short-by-farishamusic-120bpm-pop-acapella

All the rest played and programmed by your humble MrWolf.
As usual, any input on how to improve this is more than welcome.

Description : Built a little portable synth recently, which I called "Breaking Blue" after the song I was making while building the synth... This is a song made from sounds of this synth only. Minimal stuff... I was thinking of Hardcore 8-bit/square wave type of things. To see what I've been building, visit the Spivkurl Blog!

Description : This is my first 'Final' edition of one of our most popular tracks from our public releases last year.
I made the song partley on Imaschine and then transfered it to my desktop and into Maschine and later into Ableton.
This was actually not created to be an official #SickHop release but after my girl Xel Xel killed the beat with her insanley apathetic NOR-CALI flavored lyrical lamenting in two takes, i decided to extend the track and spit a verse myself...
I was experimenting with VOX fx inside of Ableton at the time and ended up with a kinda KLamar type vibe on my verse, (Even though i had no idea who he was at the time) Its not my best work but its Xels Top Five Verse fo sure, so ii decided to take it the extra mile and do a bit of a home mixdown and mastering job on it, with the help of Izotope and Ableton.
Im replacing the original file here on loopy with this new Master track, if you wanna comapre to the orig its on my soundcloud. just google #SickHop and you will find it.
Id love to hear your guys opionins on my work in regards to the mix and master, harsh criticisims welcome. Its my first master attempt. Otherwise Enjoy the Track and Feel Free to hit me up with any advice or collab projects.

BTW.....BIG BIG BIG BIG THANKS to whome ever here on Loopy provided the 'Whistle Sample' that plays throughout the track!!!! Im so sorry i cant give proper credit but the original file is corrupt and i dont know who made the loop. but once again THANK YOU MYSTERY LOOPER!!!! That sample is the glue that hold this track together!!!!

Description : Glen Cloy is one of the glens of Antrim (Tumbleweed's county) in Northern Ireland. The little people, actualy fairies, populate all of them and they all have very old ghost stories that have been told for centuries (and still are)...This one is about Shaman of old and his journeys through the spiritual world...That sums up what Ed told me about the concept for our 7th (how convenient^^) collab work. The main core of the track is Ed's work and the original length was 5:18, but I wouldn't have been Orlando if I didn't tempt to compose my longest intro to date (3:10) to inject my own fantasies about little creatures of Glen Cloy (soft spot for spiritual world..hehe..). Other than that I also added some synths arrangements and vocal samples for the rest of the track and probably ruined it a bit..haha..but that's how collabs are sometimes..:)^^.....All my thanks to Ed...and Irish ghosts ofcourse...

Description : Vocals by Farisha and if you haven't heard her work you should. It's amazing!

https://www.looperman.com/users/profile/394401

The track is a bit minimal and I've tried to allow the multi layered vocals shine and not be over cluttered with much else. Percussion is Superior Drummer (using brushes instead of sticks), bass is a Sterling Sub 4 (a recent acquisition) played in live with an attempt at some funky slap stuff in the last chorus (tricky!) Guitar solo is my trusty Godin XTSA on the acoustic setting. Keyboard is a patch from Logic X.

So good to be working with this quality of vocal. Thanks Farisha.

Comments always welcome.

Description : This one's a bit different for me, breaking away from the jazz and funk for awhile. This is sort of a dark pop/rock track, incorporating a favorite instrument of mine, the mellotron (VST.) This track kinda took on a life of it's own. I wasn't really sure what kind of track it would become, but here's the result. Hope you like it and enjoy the download.

Description : This track is the first two sections of what will (hopefully) be a three-part piece — essentially a suite. I am posting parts 1 and 2 because I think they are ready for feedback from Looperman members. Part 3 isn’t done yet because it requires Human League style vocals from a singer with a distinct British accent. I have the melody and lyrics worked out. I sent a private message a while ago to a Looperman member who I think has the right voice for the job. But, haven’t had a response. Until I find a vocalist for it, I can’t finish the piece. In any case, the total file size of the complete piece would be greater than the Looperman limit, so it will have to be split into parts anyway.

Parts 1 and 2, in fact the whole thing, were inspired by acapellas posted here on Looperman by Jacques Demers:

https://www.looperman.com/acapellas/detail/6105/love-love-love-ououou-by-jacquesdemers-130bpm-dance-acapella

https://www.looperman.com/acapellas/detail/6093/dont-keep-back-2-by-jacquesdemers-107bpm-hip-hop-acapella

https://www.looperman.com/acapellas/detail/6091/dont-keep-your-love-away-from-me-by-jacquesdemers-107bpm-hip-hop-acapella

If you haven’t checked out Jacques’ tracks yet, you really should. He doesn’t set them up as “featured” so it might be easy to miss them.

The harmony in Jacques’ acapellas sounded very “Beatle-ish” to me, and that made me want to try my hand at doing a George Martin style treatment. I remembered that ScottsCovers here on Looperman had mentioned an instrument called a Mellotron, which was used by the Beatles, the Moody Blues, Genesis, along with other groups of that era, so I decided to use a VST mellotron as the primary instrument for Parts 1 and 2.

The acapella in Part 2 was in a different key than the one used for Part 1, so I needed to find a chord progression in Part 1 that would modulate the key. Jacques gave me some advice on that, which you can see in the comments on his first acapella.

Part 1 has harp, mellotron flutes, clarinet, french horns, and my attempt at a Penny Lane type trumpet solo (but much simpler). Part 2 has a string ensemble, solo oboe and trumpet in unison, and some Daniel Langois type processed guitars. Both parts were recorded at 60 bpm, largely because that’s where the acapellas seemed to sync best. However, I played the instrument tracks freestyle (rubato), so the tempo actually varies somewhat. Definitely not quantized!

There is a storyline behind this track. Part 1 is the blooming stage of a relationship. Part 2 is about the relationship in decline. Part 3, with vocals, will be about ending it.

I’ve included the transition to Part 3 (which will be a more traditional synth pop section) and just a bit of the first verse backing instrumental so you can get an idea of how things are headed in the final part.

Description : A cover of the Judy Tzuke song (1979) and an amazing vocal performance by the very talented Pauline Wright. It's a real bass guitar and the acoustic solo towards the end is my trusty Ovation Celebrity. I have also doubled some lines with an electric where it gets a bit "celestial" and all the sting patches are from Logic X. Hope you like it and as always your comments much appreciated.

Description : Bassy jazzy hiphop track with some kickin' lyrics by looperman's SteelCityRed. Megapaul supplied the guitar track and I mixed it up a bit. Everything else is original and I'm pretty happy with how the project turned out. Slow buildup, short verse, smooth outro (That I could very easily turn in to a second verse if I had some lyrics for it). Much respect goes out to SteelCityRed

Description : If you're old enough, you will remember the 60s and 70s 'surf' music fad, popularized by Dick Dale, The Del-Tones, The Ventures, Etc. Well, this track has remnants of those early sounds with a bit of updating. It has the recognizable guitar twang, Hammond organ, and even the Farfisa organ. I even took the song title from a 1965 surf movie, so take a trip back in time and give it a listen and let me know what you think. Downloads always available to enjoy with my tracks.

Description : This starts with a loop from psycotropiccirle called harp arp and then i used a loop by hamood called acoustic delay. I found some incredible cello multisamples, a nice break beat, played some piano....this one was a bit of a labor to get to here but I really wanted to use these sounds together. I'm not completely satisfied with the arrangement but I'm getting over it. Comments and critiques welcome.

Description : This is one of my more musical tracks. The intro was inspired by the opening track of Dire Straits Debut album. The main body is a series of stuff I played and looped myself. Some midi loops and some audio loops. Over that is a bit of guitar and keys noodling. This one admittedly is pretty self indulgent but I like it...lol.
Comments are valued and welcomed.
