Description : A collab with nicetones101 ! This has been awhile in the making, real life caught up with me and i had to take a little musical break. I looked over my past comments i received and i tried to put all the constructive criticism to work ! I turned the vocals up a bit , I also cut down on the effects and left a clean vocal track. I did want the chaos and the noise to still be a player in certain parts though. I tried to create two distinct atmospheres, an uneasy calm and a manic episode. I prefer headphones with this track as there is a lot going on at certain times.
Cool man, you don't hear enough of this style of rock here. Lots of effects on the vocals but it works to fill up space and help create a dark creepy vocal track. You did a great job matching the vocals to the music. The music kicks ass, thick guitars and hard hitting drums always a good combination.
I don't see enough heavy metal here.. Lets see what we have here :D
Excited already.... Yessss... @1:16 that switch up takes me back to my teen years... It has a similar vibe to Slipknot's Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat... I fucking loved that album... Oww it ended.. I genuinely loved that.. Well done guys..
I think a little more tweaking on the vocals may be needed, perhaps bring down the frequencies somewhere between the low -mid.. I could be wrong, try it :)
Hey Fatal, dope track bro.
Your gonna laugh but this reminds me a lot of some 60's Psychedelic rock with respect to the vocals. Ever heard Donovan's "Hurdy Gurdy Man"? Anyhow, yeah Nice really riffs it up too with some brutal downtuned stoner groove-ige! I'm digging the collab for sure.
Thanks for listening ! I am stoked you got a psychedelic rock vibe, cause i am really pushing for a stoner rock kinda thing :) yes i have heard "hurdy gurdy man" I like the song too !
I am trying to take a lot of inspiration from the vocalists and poets of the 60's and 70's .
thanks once again for listening and the kind words. YOU ROCK !
You sure do have some low end heavily detuned riffage going on here. Is that a 7-string guitar?
I quite like the vocal style as it's unexpected (not obvious metal vocals). Perhaps might be too much reverb on the vocal but that's OK. Might be a little bit like some of the Deftones' stuff.
Thanks for the listen ! I am slowly trying to use less effects on my vocals, I tend to layer too much i think ;p
I am happy you like the vocal style, I am a HUGE Deftones fan so the influence is most definitely there.
As for the guitar questions, that was all nicetones101 , I know he plays a 7 string, but not sure if he did on this track, it has been in the works for awhile, but i can get back to you with the info !
Hey Fatal great job on this track! Dig your vocal style / approach, I really liked the big delay on the hook of the song
though I couldn't quite make out the last word. Correct me but it sounds like you were saying "You are Nothing?" Tried pulling up the lyrics but couldn't get into that section for some reason. With that low metal groove, this is a around great track for this genre. Great Job
Thanks for listening ! I don't have the vocal cords for the constant screams that metal has these days, so i took a more Sabbath/katatonic sort of approach.
You are absolutely correct "you are nothing" is what i was saying! I think you have to be signed into the site to pull up the lyrics:).
Thanks for the compliment and the kind words, you rock !
Hey fatal!!!!!!!How have you been mate?Man real life caught up with me too and i tried to run but it still caught me!The fast bastard!hahaha...Mate i love this track!I actually forgot about this track...Awesome vocals and i love the vocal line as the song ended.Very dark atmosphere.Awesome man!
Description : I asked Danke if I could add some vocals to his track Future Machine and he kindly agreed and sent me the track. The lyrics are about a soldiers experience in war as he and his trench mates are told to get up and out of their trench and attack the enemy across open fields. I can only imagine the fear, tension and chaos that goes through one's mind at that moment.
Description : I discovered Meshuggah around 2003 and was blown away by the power, complexity and super Heavy sound of their music. Their "Nothing" album marked the switch to 8 string guitars and pushed Heavy Metal into a whole new territory. My track is a variant cover of their song "Nebulous". I have stayed pretty close to the original but added a few dynamic elements of my own. Its loud, its super heavy and way out there...Beyond Nebulous.
Description : This unconventional metal track is dedicated to Valvedriver https://www.looperman.com/users/profile/841435 though it's not a parody of his fine music or me actively trying to sound like it. I struggled for months with the first few minutes of this track knowing that I must be able to take it somewhere deeper, more psychedelic and powerful. Then I loaded some sampled choir voice instruments, as used in my track Reckful https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/160356 and suddenly found myself happily in Valveland - not a place I visit often. Feeling amply Valvedriven and newly inspired, I added the last few minutes fairly easily and very quickly. So: it's a twisting, turning mixture of grunge, menacing ambient, mystical metal and ultra-heavy funk. Instruments: electric guitar+bass, synth basses, female choir voices, one synth pad, some other synths on the nastier side of things and a few programmed heavy acoustic drumkits playing a mixture of triplets and straighter grooves. Interesting thoughts appreciated. Favourite bits? Shit bits? Please listen on good headphones/speakers as there's a lot of heavy bass in this. Now get ready to rock: balls out, hands in the air and with rebellious joy in your heart. Just try not to headbang the hell out of your laptop. Go!
Description : Whats up guys?! Been a while I know. Iv'e moved around a lot but have finally settled down and have been hard at work with my metal band. Unfortunately I've had to put my solo work on hold for a bit while I'm recording with the band. We are being professionally recorded now, a very big step up from the last recording of my band that I posted here. Anyways, hope you guys enjoy! We are, Raze The Pyre.

the lyrics is a good point in it .
Attitude adjusted, thanks!

Really well produced in my opinion.
Your vocals suit really well this genre.
Have tried some Doom metal?
Verses are 8th note chunkiness, with more sedated vocals than I expected. Better than a lot of screaming. Not bad.
I enjoyed this. I like the heavier stuff.
Evan
I have never been to much of a screamer lol
Rock on brother \m/

Not spectacular but solid.
