Hearing this other version today, I can be pretty sure that I like the other version more. At first, I had to look and see if they were the same quality of mp3, because I am hearing a lot of distracting artifacts of some sort in the higher frequencies. They are in fact the same size though, so I have to wonder why I'm hearing this. It also makes me wonder why you did not encode at a higher bitrate, since we are given the space now. I think the details could shine through more this way. Seems like the mix is just far better to my ears on the more recent version. Performances are equally cool, of course, and I'm not sure that they are even different takes. Both are awesome, but I would chose "Another Way In" personally. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks alot Spiv for your honest opinion and I appreciate your preference alot (that's what I wanted from reviewers anyway), it's only that I just can't figure out where in the world do you hear those artifacts?? I'm not saying you don't, but I don't hear any or just my ears don't serve me anymore, yet I'm almost sure there must be some other issue to cause that. Regarding bitrate...well, to be honest I decided for a bit lower bitrate cause I'm already running out of available space and furthermore I think that higher bit rate wouldn't make any audible difference since it's still just compressed mp3 and we would need an option to upload lossless wav files to achieve any noticeable difference. 99% of the people would agree that they don't hear any difference between lets say 192kbps and 320kbps, and most of them even wouldn't distinct mp3 from wav.
The second thing which makes me surprised is when you're saying you're not sure that these are even different takes?? Would be interesting to hear what exactly do you mean by that?
Anyways, regardless all enigmas, thank you so much for your valuable time for listening and your willingness to
write this comparative review....so much appreciated!:)
Orlando sitting here in the freezing cold in austria and when i turned on to this i could feel the heat. Yessir very nice production super clarity and direction i love the overall concept and cool guitar work which is my fave instrument. Keep on truckin bro.
Yay...now I know why is so cold over here these days too..haha...Many thanks for listening and for this positive
response....so glad you like the stuff!:)
I really like the sounds you use here .... It is true, that the guitar is prominent, and that the influence of Ed, could be the cause.
Apart from that, it's something new, maybe a certain turn, but with that musical logic that characterizes you ....
I would hardly say that the guitar was influenced by Ed and I had no intention to copy his style or in any way substitute his presence or even compete with him ( for me that would be completely impossible anyway), but I simply wished to do something a bit different from my point of view and so it happened, but there will be another version of the song uploaded in a few days later, so you're kindly invited to the comparison event when it starts !
Many thanks for your continuos support...means alot,
On the contrary, my dear friend....the ol guy on the prairies was the first who correctly predicted that this might cause some positive buzz around here...so that "Bravo" goes to you Ed...:)
Now it seems that we shouldn't bother too much about this one when one of the biggest artists on LM extaticly gave it "10/10" (btw he completely dismissed my previous 2 uploads...haha...) and when our good friend Wayne says : "Can't say I hear anything I would change, it's pretty darn awesome!" (I like this one...haha..)
I wouldn't be saying all these silly things, but...somehow....and I don't know why...I like this shit !:)
However, as I promised...I will give you a new version...soon...and in case I let you down again (probabilities aren't low...haha...) I'll go on vacation and stay there as long as possible...haha...
And ofcourse, thank you so much for stopping by...even if just for a short peek...:)
I know this is your production but when I hear something like this it's no wonder you and Ed work together so well. Two Peas in a pod, great production and great compositions always. Danke seems to feel something along that line too. The piano work is fantastic, nice layering of the piano and effects are nice too. I like the title. Can't say I hear anything I would change, it's pretty darn awesome! Takes me on a wondrous journey, it's been a tough day so I needed to hear something like this!
As first, sorry for a bit late reply Wayne. Yours and Danke's ears were both right...this is in fact a collab with Ed, but the piece was put here more for the test than anything else and it will be followed by another version of
basically same song....kindly invited to listen and compare when it's uploaded in next few days.
Yet. I'm really glad for such a positive feedback and I have to say many thanks for that and for the fav! Always a pleasure Wayne !:)
always a pleasure , listening to your works .
I really love the way it starts , the way it goes on and the
way it touches me .
amazing guitar work also.
very welldone Orlando .

What a great, new track...your musical profile changed a bit, isn't it???
I feel the tones of collab's result with Mr. Tumbleweed...:-)
Not only because of the guitars lead the listener through this dreamy artwork, but in feeling firstly...
Everything is perfect for my 'live' ears...like a progressive rock band on the stage...drums, bass, piano (with that huge reverb maybe?) and the guitar player who is walking to and fro and get a short but effective smile on his/her face...
Outstanding production, even if test drive or not...
First, sorry for the late reply but the delay had it's purpose. You have very good ears my friend cause this is indeed collab with Ed, it's just that the things are a bit upside down...Ed didn't touch his guitar in this one, so I decided this time around for something guitarish to contribute which is not really a thing for me to do, so I already prepaired another version with more obvious instrumentation choices, which will be (probably) uploaded a bit later and will offer some comparison. Yet, I'm already happy tha tyou see this as positive stuff and I have no reason not to trust my dear neighbour and friend...:) So thanks alot for all the supportive thoughts and for the 'fav' and 'dl'...means alot!:)

Description : Now on youtube: youtu.be/0RYfA4iCsSA, soon out on my upcoming album "Step by Step"!
==============
Inspired by a track of Pseudoble. I was noodling along to his track "I wish I didn't know" (which is awesome) and had the words "Snow in Athens" in my head. This with the smooth jazz/fusion atmosphere led me to this track with a sort of Steely Dan feel.
Description : This track is built around the repetitive lead guitar line which I have previously incorporated as an intro for the rocker track "Sweetheart Runner" by LM user TinyFinger whom I have helped in arranging, mixing and producing his song. This extended session was a good oportunity to test some new equipment....Thanks to Tiny for not being mad about it...:)^^
Description : I had to go in on this track. This is a future bass, electrofusion song. I posted the full version here full the Looperfam because you guys give me sooooo much support. I can never thank you all enough.
Description : Psychedelic blues hip hop with lead banjo and acoustic resonator slide guitar. Acoustic drum kits, fat basslines, soaring filtered strings, some strong Eastern elements (from guitar and strings), some dub and funk from the bass and drums and a bit of rocking electric guitar. Very unusual piece of music and a trip like no other I've heard. Some of it is like a dark, deep Southern delta blues track over a hip hop and dub backing. All played and programmed by me, no loops used.
After a quite turbulent long travel we’ve reached a totally unknown planet which is mostly covered with clouds. As we pass over it we can see parts of rivers through the clouds that come out of the dark rocky surface in some places. So the whole scene is alternating textures of white, dark gray and silver flashes. Unfortunately there’s no chance to land anywhere so we just pass, wonder and travel on …
Description : A spoopy song, early for Halloween. This was a collaboration with Micky, who did most of the work.
A musical realization of a poem by Thomas Hardy
Idea: Spearcarrier
Voices: Spearcarrier & Micky
Music: Micky
Genre: We don't know yet. Suggestions welcome. LOL
Description : Real acoustic, electric and bass guitars played by me. Drums are loops and programmed MIDI. Played piano and synths. Lots of layers and delay. A gated moog, organ, my recorded finger-snaps and a reversed bass guitar effect that sounds like throat-singing. Three movements, divided by moments of calm. Thoughts and feedback are welcome.
Description : Return To Forever was a group that started my love of fusion jazz and this is my attempt to cover their 1976 track, “The Romantic Warrior. I know I wore out several inceptions of this album from LP, cassette and 8 track. The original track was over 10 minutes long, so I abridged it some. Hope you like and download.
Description : A moroccan traditional song from 70s titled "Toudart" which means "Life" in Moroccan berber/Tamazight, revived and composed in a modern way, I used minor2go's piano loop which you can hear on the background, everything elese is from me.
The second thing which makes me surprised is when you're saying you're not sure that these are even different takes?? Would be interesting to hear what exactly do you mean by that?

It felt like I was driving down a highway at nighttime.
The intro was nice as well.
The guitar is very crisp.
I also liked the piano - it was probably my favourite part - it felt like it gave the music another side of personality.
