i was subsequently invited to join here by dungbeatl so here i am, and here are this weekend's tracks.
i used said guitar through a volume pedal (whose battery was running low - i think it casued the hiss - third track i used a different pedal - no hiss), and mixtures of compressor, distortion, flanger, chorus, ebow. lexicon vortex, zoom 1202. all effects are behringer unless stated otherwise. software was ambiloop under windows7, converted to mp3 in audacity.

Description : I should be committed. Spent many hours putting this weird piece together when I should have been making money (alas) and then in a fit of self-recrimination deleted the Audacity files (plus, was running out of disk space bcuz of dozens of huge, half-finished loop comps). Just listened to the mp3 , which I'd saved, and still dug it, despite myself. The main vocal is from a 1950s radio ad (tho Biotex, apparently, is still on the market today). The "bridge" (if you will) vocal is from a '50s radio show (forgot the name). I love that line - "lovely because it's sooo lonely." Well, if you like weirdness like I do, just soak.
Description : Yes, I know the title sounds kind of ominous. I personally have never used meth but I have been told it's pretty terrible. A friend of mine got himself clean from it and he said that his dreams that he was having when he was detoxing were, and I quote "meth-fueled nightmares that never ended." well, this is how I imagine a soundtrack to those kind of dreams would sound. **WARNING** this track has a big bass boom running throughout, I eq'ed the track to not clip but if your speakers aren't good at bass, try headphones. Description : This is more like me. A touch of Prog with some atmosphere. I started out just trying to get a demonic tone from Reason's Thor synth and once I had it the rest just followed. Only two loops, drums and bass, the rest is all played in. Strat, KB37 Reason + Record, on my Toshiba laptop running Windows 7 32 bit.
Description : I found a trasure trove of old loops and sat down a week ago to try and create something for fun and to get the creativity running again. Well, I did it! I am fairly proud with how this whole thing sounds, even the vocals(well, loosely proud of the vocals.) I was going to rerecord some of the vocal track but I like the raw, almost freestyle sound I have here so it remains in all its glory. Hope you like it, and feedback is welcome.

Due to some feedback, I re-eq'd the track and raised the levels on a few things. Hopefully this sounds better.

I'm using white noise at -60db to chop out the super highs so I get that "flat recording" type sound that my synth work never seems to have. I'm not sure how effective it is. I'm debating running a little louder noise through the flanger or some sort of phaser.
The piano is still very rough. It will probably get cleaned up and recorded without the use of a synth (and the associated lag 'cause my poor computer can't keep up) eventually.

oh yeah i got my hands on a xbox 360 yesterday AND IT SUCKS! so i returned it today new systems are bunk it's mainly graphic based also to add grand theft auto 4 is plane retarded
the physics in the game as far as driving is ridiculous i couldn't steer without spinning out....i felt like i was playing forza or gran trismo wtf! also i couldn't go more then 25 miles, collide with a wall and my guy would fly out the window
wasn't GTA about haulin A running people over and going nucking futs??????????? but with my money i got refunded i bought some games for my ps2 and xbox and am having 10X the fun O_o i guess i'm the only person in the world that hates the xbox 360 (other then ps3 fans) i can't say anything bad about the ps3 since i have yet to play on one and i played a wii a few times and actually thought it was cool......i think my hate for the new systems is the fact that i didn't get a memory unit for the xbox so i wasn't able to save........i hate that, when you get something new and yer hyped you get it home and your mood changes to that "awwww maaaan" state f'it couple of older games and some music gear is a far better deal
