Description : Green is common in nature, as many plants are green because of a complex chemical known as chlorophyll, which is involved in photosynthesis. Chlorophyll absorbs the long wavelengths of light (red) and short wavelengths of light (blue) much more efficiently than the wavelengths that appear green to the human eye, so light reflected by plants is enriched in green. Chlorophyll absorbs green light poorly because it first arose in organisms living in oceans where purple halobacteria were already exploiting photosynthesis. Their purple color arose because they extracted energy in the green portion of the spectrum using bacteriorhodopsin. The new organisms that then later came to dominate the extraction of light were selected to exploit those portions of the spectrum not used by the halobacteria.

Description : Rituals are a feature of all known human societies. They include not only the worship rites and sacraments of organized religions and cults, but also rites of passage, atonement and purification rites, oaths of allegiance, dedication ceremonies, coronations and presidential inaugurations, marriages and funerals, school "rush" traditions and graduations, club meetings, sporting events, Halloween parties, veterans parades, Christmas shopping and more. Many activities that are ostensibly performed for concrete purposes, such as jury trials, execution of criminals, and scientific symposia, are loaded with purely symbolic actions prescribed by regulations or tradition, and thus partly ritualistic in nature. Even common actions like hand-shaking and saying hello may be termed rituals.
Description : While the Amazon might be the earth's lungs, oil is the earth's blood. In some respects, crude really does resemble blood. It scabs on exposure to air. It is organic and viscous. Some companies warm oil to about 90 degrees to make it slip more easily, with less friction, through pipelines. This temperature approximates that of the human body. Cold oil will coagulate. It coats the inner surfaces of the pipes with waxy buildups, much like arterial plaque. Pipelines must be cleaned regularly with the industrial equivalent of a cardiac balloon: a plastic plug that oil workers call a "pig." Oil is not sterile. It supports bacteria and fungi. Terminal managers tell of draining old storage tanks and finding "vines" of oil-eating algae growing inside--some of them many feet long. Perhaps the most remarkable thing about oil is this: After 150 years of unleashing its explosive power to shrink the world and expand our dominion of nature, and after reshaping it into innumerable useful byproducts--from plastic cradles to vinyl body bags--we still do not understand fully where oil comes from or how it was made. The notion that it is the cooked and condensed remains of dinosaurs is at best marginally correct. Most geologists agree that terrestrial life never existed in sufficient abundance to explain the vast amount of crude now lurking in the ground. Instead, many scientists believe petroleum was born in water--as algae and minute life forms called plankton that once drifted in ancient seas. Fed by ancient sunbeams, the plants bloomed in oceanic quantities, died and were buried in sea-bottom silts. Because of this, some experts call the energy locked inside oil "fossilized sunlight." But this remains a theory. No one has yet synthesized crude from dead plant matter.

Description : What's good Looperman community! I'm in work on a Saturday, something that's not the norm for me. But I got black, iced coffee and a breakfast sandwich, so it's not the end of the world. Employment musings aside, I have a new song up, available for download that is a part of my 'Issued For Bid' mixtape I've been working on at a casual pace. The song is entitled, 'Nights Like These', produced by me (Dev Structures), and engineered by Roscoe Wiki. I normally don't talk about the nature of my music, and typically let it speak for itself, but this song was created in the aftermath of some stuff I've been going through on and off. I was told I have audio hallucinations, a sign of schizophrenia. I was afraid of seeking active help for a long time, because if I'm being honest, being black is difficult, but being black AND marked as having a mental health issue is like a double strike against me in society. While I am seeking help actively now, this song was about my coping mechanisms, and my viewpoint of society as I felt...and arguably still feel, like a mere observer of society, and less of a participant. Starts with a 140 tempo, and transitions into an 85 bpm. Dance to my pain ya'll, lol.
Description : I have not been on for some time so here's a new one from me enjoy
Description : Many of you know well that Tumbleweed & Orlando collabs are pretty much well established tradition within LM society by now, and here is the newest example to reinforce that tradition. It's probably the last this year (yet never take it for granted) and I think it has (although not particularly intended) a bit of that seasonal celebrative nature, thus fitting quite well into this festive feel of December. Despite providing it's share of melancholic tones (you can bet who is responsible...haha...) it's a quite happy tune overall...and it doesn't bite, so you're all most welcome to listen and comment !... As always my sincere thanks to Ed !

Description : Hello everyone! Like the wind that cross the forest between the birches in the northern lands, this music refers to trapers who lives in the nord, who know how is the nature and serenity exept the hunt and cold. It might also refer to the medieval age, where there were some city which have a hood and cobblestone castle... I love it. So, the song is just composed with a piano. Without strings or horns. I have changed my presentation for a unknown term.
