Description : Second track - after 'Costello' - in my 'The Paris Tapes'-project. Nu Jazz/Chillout. This track features a rap by Kcentric on ccMixter. Kcentrix is an electronic music composer and lyricist who carves out a unique niche by fusing Hip Hop, Jazz, Spoken Word, Breakbeat, and Electronic styles. I incorporated (parts) of his rap 'Dream Of You' in this laid back, short groove, highlighted by Miles Davis-inspired muted trumpet-sounds. This, again, is an attempt to create a 'big city vibe'. It's part of a project wich I hope to finish this year, featuring (jazz)artists from all over the world in unusual musical settings, created by me. PS: the beautiful face in the picture is of former adult performer Sasha Grey. The pic is from the the 2009 movie 'The Girlfriend Experience' by Steven Soderbergh, a film that made a big impression on me. It's a drama set in the days leading up to the 2008 Presidential election, and centered on a high-end Manhattan call girl meeting the challenges of her boyfriend, her clients, and her work. As far as 'big city' is concerned, this is the soundtrack-feel I'm looking for.

Description : I'm really pleased with this piece. It has a really nice dream like feel to it. Added some simple echo and reverb effects, and ended up with this! Please let me know what you think of it, so that I can make more good music!

Description : This song was made around the same time as, ' A Misty Dream.' This was actually track number six of a series of songs that I compiled on a personal album titled, 'A Misty Dream." This song is all sample based. The title is open to your interpretation, as to what kind of rendezvous this music is playing along to.

Description : // ORIGINALLY TRANCE, JUST DROPPED ACOUSTIC INSTRUMENTS IN

you love me only to get her
to me it's time spent with you whatever
anything is everything just to be together
will i always be so clever

while she dreams of someone else
you dream of her
while you dream of her
i live my dreams of you
until it's your turn for your dreams to come true
and i fade into the past so blue

Description : Song for a friend. For a friendship of 29 years now. "Love and games, which we saw go.
To survive hard times.
Dream and life were marked in you,
in your Self
Photos and tapes to remember.
Hours passed, are frozen.
A smile that escapes me facing you.
Dream and life are shared
and the shadows that come our way.
Side by side on road we must follow.
So it must be.
Punishment with laughter that we live,
but it hurts the final smile,
laugh about life together until the end. "
For Toni. With love.

Description : This was done in less than 3 hours - very quickly. I gave the vocals a little bit of a jazzy treatment and spooky echo/reverb keys. I used the Deep Table beat off looperman.com and found it "rides" gently and works well with the theme. Ad-lib vocals... like fireflies in the night... came to this tune.

scarlett, is the colour of my love
for you, and all you are
scarlett, is the colour of the sun
going down, over oceans
far awar

dream a little dream
about a little thing
scarlett is the colour
of love

Description : REUPLOAD:
This song is heavily based from my music partner's poem they made years ago. Their written poem is below!

"The great escape I hold is the sleep. Upon which I dream, amazing at first but once I awaken. Remembrance is fleeting as I stir to awaken, yet night has yet to break into day. Am I truly awake?"

Thank you for listening!
