Totally dig it Spiv. Nice minimal structure with a super cool overdriven and distorted bass groove and loads of perfectly quirky sound effect flavoring. Your vocal track is killer on this and definitely reminiscent of David Byrne. Strong production !

Neomorpheus, thank you for stopping by to hear this one! I've been digging up the past in the last week, and it's cool to hear new comments on this stuff!

I appreciate the compliment on the vocal track! There are those moments when something in life becomes so drastic that artistic expression is the only way to protect yourself from drastic response. This was one of those moments. It started out as just the instrumental, for the competition, but then it all fell into place when sh*t got f*(ked up.

David Byrne is something I definitely would not have thought of, and yet it makes total sense. I have listened to Byrne or Talking Heads at every point in my life which I can remember. My father even played Heads pretty obsessively when I was a child. It was also a radio staple at the time. Even stole some of their work from the library around 1992, ha ha... The statute of limitations is probably gone now. Also, I have lost any respect I had for the library since then, considering that they are participating in the quiet "book burning" of our oppressive government and their quest to change history. They throw away two dumpsters full of books and reference material PER WEEK in our city, most often in direct relation to my recent research... Native american history and US civil war history most recently, but also law reference, self help, expressionist art, poetry, foreign language, hydroponics... the list goes on. It is offensive and scary. I have been rescuing the books as best as I can.

Thanks much for your comment and inspiration!

on monsterage - no internet connection by monsterage
Monsterage !

Man its always cool when the Monster attacks with another wicked track! I really like the percussive intro and of course when that synth comes creeping in with sinister syncopation. Yeah the beat really makes me want to move. I may have stated it before but your tracks are made for late night high speed blasts down the interstate.

"I'm high, I'm tranced out and my right foot has the accelerator pinned to the floor. The sounds from my speakers merge with the sounds from the exhaust headers to create my melody of speed and sonic energy. The street lights flicker, the dotted lines blur....theres No Internet Connection".

on Guns For Everyone by StaticNomad
Hey mate! Yeah man this one has a great tempo and really make you want to, as you say, bounce with it. I also dig the bass line which has a very prominent part in maintaining the groove. And this is a real heavy groove oriented track. The other stand out aspect in here for me is the lead there around 2:15. Its very high pitched and extremely cool and well played. I think I hear it again in the latter segments of the track being used more for fills. Its definitely a head trippy sort of melody with a uniquely Eastern vibe. I can easily picture a few young nubile harem girls doing the dance of a thousand veils (or at least a few hundred) to this !
I am tote-ally deeging it my bro ha! (spoken with the Eastern twang).

Yo, NeoHipHoppin'Bro.

Good to hear you bounced to my shit. Perhaps with your Texan guns in the air.

Yeah, main bassline is just too addictive though I found it hard coming up with changes for this and had to be very patient for new parts to come to me.

"stand out aspect in here for me is the lead there around 2:15"

I think it's decent but not amazing. It's only heard in that one section of the track and it's an effective extra mood and a good break from so much cellage. Kind of a chirping lead sound, maybe a bit like birdsong.

"a head trippy sort of melody with a uniquely Eastern vibe."

Yes - there's a dancey, swaying vibe that's also very trippy.

I would be happy to see some nubile harem girls swaying to this. And then they can do some headbanging in the last 90 seconds. That ending is a bit metal, I feel. Some mad, massive, growling cello sounds in those end riffs.

on Come And Find Me After Death by DijamMusic
A very eerie and hauntingly beautiful melody Jamid. Like some of the others as I listened I felt almost entranced by it and then it was over. It definitely could have been longer. The question you raise is quite possibly the oldest and most profound question in existence. One that every one of us will ponder at some point during life. I like to think that there will be a continuum beyond our present state but I tend to believe that if there is, we cant remain as we are. If you study different cultures and different religions they all have beliefs of life after death. Is it just a scare tactic to encourage us to live rightously and in fear of consequence of our actions, or is there truth in it? I guess there's only one way to find out. I will have to get back with you on that, but hopefully not anytime soon !!

Hello Neomorpheus,
Thank you very much for your wonderful feedback and very kind words mate.
I find it very interesting and I do hope that we will meet after our death.
Otherwise as Pete said “What is our agenda for living.”
I am really glad you liked it
The reason for it been just over three minute I did it for a Psychology lecture at our University for a project.
I think I will do some more work to it.
Thanks again mate

on Overmyth I - Inception Of The Truth by ValveDriver
Man this is fun bro !
Its like Quentin Taratinos Heavy Metal version of the Good Bad and the Ugly ! I really dig the spaghetti western guitar picking in the beginning segment but that soon gives way to a nice heavy chord groove. I really dig those chord changes and, oh yeah, that's some real tasty lead. Man this is all done in Shreddage? Unbelievable. You throw in some real ominous breakdown and then a nice return to the western vibe guitar twang and those peaking single coils. Real slick transitioning. The last section really amps things up to another high level of intensity, some real edgy progression with guitar and drums laying down a heavy triplet cadence. This is wicked man, and I love the build to the abrupt hanging note ending.

Yeah, I'm all smiles right now bro. So happy to see and hear the Valvedriver cranking it out once more!!!
ValveDriver
ValveDriver replied 14th Mar 2017 - 8 years ago
Neo, how ya doin' brother?

I didn't really shoot for the spaghetti wedtern sound, but now that you mention it, it totally is! Works for me!

I'm glad you liked the chord changes and leads. Those were a couple of things I wasn't 100% confident with. Especially the leads. I'm really more of a rythym guy, so I tend to feel like my leads are severely kacking. Nit only in content, but structure as well. So hearing from a guitar man that I'm doing alright is encouraging. Thanjs fir that, man!
Yes. This is entirely done with Shreddage. Around the time I first got it, I saw a comment here in a forum post that someone else made, saying that the virtual guitars are good for back up, or accents, but can never be used for a complete track. I took that as a silent challenge. Honestly, though, I'm still not fully satisfied, so expect more where I've pushed myself even harder.
Funny thing is, about the triplet cadence...I didn't even realize I was doing it, so again, more encouraging words that I'm doing something right!

Hey, man, you take care, and thanks again for the positive feedback. It's truly appreciated.

Skol!

on The Waves Between Ship And Shore by Evisma
Hey Evan, damn I'm late getting back to you on this one. I gave it a listen at work a while back and didn't have time to give it a sufficient review. This track grabbed me in the nads right after the reverse cymbal intro and didn't let go all the way through. Another words, it had my undivided attention from start to finish. Its a fuckin great composition of a track bro. In my opinion your skills have never been been better exemplified. I have to say that the Superior drums really make a difference here. I'm envious of the tasteful programming job you've done syncing the drums and guitar. That's not so easy to do. I know your a wicked bass player but man you bust out some pretty impressive chops on the 6 string here as well. As a bass player you certainly understand phrasing and you carried it over into your guitar playing. However I would have liked to of heard more power chords in this, particularly in that outro section (4:30) I think would have benefitted with some nice heavy chords in the flow. I think you really nailed the EQ in this too. Everything sounds tight and perfectly leveled. I love the tone on the guitar man. Fat and crisp but not too detuned!
This track like some of your others seems to have a Celtic vibe to it, and considering the title I can easily imagine some medieval story involving Viking ships braving raging seas and tumultuous storms in an effort to find new lands to conquer.

Good stuff Evan.
Next question, when is the album coming out ?

Greetings.

Glad you liked this one. The more I get into the distorted guitars, the longer the track takes me. I'm at 2 months now and I'm on my 3rd attempted track. In a bit of a slump, but it will pass.

Thanks for the feedback. All good news!

on STAND YOUR GROUND by CitizenMofo
Yeah I totally agree the minimal aspect here really allows the focus to remain on the vocal and the power of the words. The guitar track is clean with beautiful tonality and the playing is tight. I like the choice of using a picking style here instead of strummed chords. Extremely well played, with some really slick articulation. The lyrics are poignant and convey a powerful message that is still a real issue within our racially divided society. Its a sad song really. To me it relates a view that when you break it down is really common to all sides. We continue to allow differences and past mistakes to cloud our judgement and foster mistrust and hatred. I someday hope songs like this won't have to be written bro, but who knows when or if that day will ever come.

Irrespective, excellent job with this one.
CitizenMofo
CitizenMofo replied 5th Mar 2017 - 8 years ago
Very very well put about the message, Neomorpheus, and I couldn't agree more. Yes, the golden rule is about fairness to all sides. Yet, while we claim to be a christian society, we'd be lucky if in fact 1 in 10 in our country follow it. Seems it's all become about hate, and power, and money, and pushing people's buttons in such a way that it absolutely precludes thought, judgment and decency. I've been around a while and seen a lot of bullshit and the resulting violence, but this is the worst it's been in my 50+ lifetime. So I'll keep writing my little songs because that seems better than a primal scream of rage. I really appreciate your thoughtful listen and comments.

Hey Ben,

Really slick bit of guitar playing and straight up Rock A Billy !
I got turned onto Rock A Billy when Brian Setzer and the Stray Cats came onto the rock scene in the 80's. I'm also into Hot Rodding which has embraced the low brow culture and this form of music is very popular.
Sounds like you definitely got your rig set up properly and the tone is spot on. Are you in fact playing this on a hollow body, maybe Gibson or Gretsch? The first electric guitar I ever played was my Dads Vintage 1963 Sears Silvertone hollow body.

I dig man, I must hear more !!

Thanks a lot for your stunning feedback, good to hear you love that music too - I am quite diverse in music styles but as well much influenced by my dad hearing elvis and stuff all day long ;) I am not playing that on a hollow body but on an Les Paul with a standard R&R setup but for sure little finetune applied.

Um....WTF !
This is like Heavy Metal House !
Definitely NOT disco. More like some really really Deep House. I gotta tell you I'm just laughing my ass off here right now because this is not at all what I was expecting from someone with an Avatar like yours. Please forgive me for making such a big jack ass male chauvinistic statement such as that but its the honest truth. I mean the track got my attention right off with the crazy syncopation intro and very clever progression but when you hit those first few power chords I thought "no fuckin way" ! Is she she gonna lay some heavy guitar in this thing? The next thought was, ah no way, I'm dreaming. And then you did !!
Man you kicked my ass girl, I love it !

The suggestions by Steve and Aaron are noteworthy, my only added critique is the abrupt ending. It kind of left me hanging...with my mouth open and drool running out. I seriously like what you did here and it definitely got my attention. Very cool track. I could become a huge fan of the Ladyinred !

on Bottomlands by Burtsbluesboxes
Pretty awesome slide guitar chillout Katz. It conjures up memory of trip I took to a little town outside New Orleans back around 1990. Chalmette, Louisiana, a real nice place, south of the French quarter. A friend and co-worker at the time was raised there. I never had been to Mardi Gras so he offered to take me down there to check it out. Long story short, while we were there we drove out to his grandparents place which was located in the bayou area right on the Mississippi River. I ended up in small boat night fishing with a spotlight in the swamp with snakes and alligators all around and getting nearly eaten alive by mosquitoes. I was freakin terrified ! This song would have been a perfect sound track to the experience. I certainly dig the track think the sound effects add a nice cinematic element to it. Maybe a bit too much walking through the mud though. I would probably like it better from a pure song point of view if the effects were limited to the intro /outro. I was toying around the other night and got into some Pink Floyd sounding stuff and decided to record a bit of it. I may end up trying to work up a track with the material and was wondering if you would you mind if I used a bit of your CBG on it? It may fit right into what I'm working with. I would certainly give you cred for it. Sorry to ask you in the middle of your track comments like this but I don't do it when it comes to mind, I would probably forget the idea later. Again, good stuff here bro, and yes I hope your serious about putting that album together. Keep us posted on that for sure man !

Damn 1990! Seems a few lifetimes ago! That would be quite terrifying! I've never been further south of North Carolina, too hot, humid and busy for me!! I like Maine, we get cold enough so there's no poisonous snakes, insects and alot of the tropical germs can't survive the winters. I'll take the cold over the heat! It's funny when people ask Maine? Where's that? People actually live there, it's not all pine trees? I love the maine woods! Less that will kill you here hahaha Listening to some tracks in my car I realized how much I do use footsteps in stuff. Maybe the next one will be fishing for catfish from a boat instead of walking. I actaully had the thought to add rowing instead. I love the cbg songs on you tube that's one guitar solo playing slide, telling it's tale. I played along with a drum groove for timing, then cut out the drums to keep it guitar and sounds of nature only. When it come to mind that's the best time to ask! Sent you a message with the stems wet and dry, have a blast with them :D The wife said sounds like pink floyd as well, but did David Gilmore play a cbg? Billy Gibbons did :p https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHzeNW_nJVY My work schedule has been a bit crazy switching nights to days and back, but I am working on getting together the songs I think will go together for a cbg album, making sure they're mixed acceptably ect. All played on cbgs and maybe bass guitar since I haven't yet built a bass, I have the parts though. I do have some stuff mixed with 6 string playing too. Started experimenting with open tunings on 6 string from what I've learned this past year. Thanks NeoGillian :D

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

With an "I dare you to piss me off" killer stare avatar and a ground pounding coordinated strategic assault of a track that literally cuts a path between your ears big enough to drive a tank through !

I love every inch of this thing bro and I'll be damned if you haven't done it again. It isn't dubstep, and it ain't drum and bass. Its a whole new animal, a whole new breed, and it's out for blood. Right from the gate you realize this things got attitude and its all bad. The drums pound out a relentless cadence that's a combination of a viking ship row master and a fucking tommy gun. Wicked dubstep wobbles and growls leap from one side to the other in a distorted mechanized frenzy amid some of the most sinister and prime-evil sounding synth I've heard in quite awhile. Its a suicide roller coaster ride that the only way off is to jump. But who wants to take the easy way out? If i'm going out, i'm going out sreamin' !

Haha, in case it isn't obvious, I'm pretty fuckin happy to see you back bro. Nice tune.

Neo, Mr. Neo! How the hell are ya, bud?

That avatar picture is from a set of portraits, (not selfies, but actual portraits with an actual camera), I did a couple years ago. It's subject was the ugly, dirty, gritty side of life. This one had the ficused drive that seemed to fit my approach toward my new life, and my music.

"a combination of a viking ship row master and a fucking tommy gun."

That's a great analogy!

I also love the idea of a suicide rollercoaster. If you haven't used that for a track title yet, you should now!

Thanks for the warm welcome, my friend. It's good to be producing again.

on Skyscaper by StaticNomad
StaticNomadder, man I been trying to listen to this track for a few days now but keep getting interrupted each time! Finally got the chance today to give it a thorough listen. Its quite an ass kickin, nut bustin track bro. I dig how you ease into it and again its amazing to think there's no guitar in there. Sounds like a bunch of layered bass as it begins. That groove is mighty cool man. Your doing a fair share of plucking strings here as well as using the bow. You just kind of ride it along there for a bit, filtering in some dreamy synth pads all the while keeping it interesting with the varied drums. Its a very smooth and relaxing groove that is easy to get into, lazy and swanky. Then onto the mid section it builds some intensity, up to crescendo and then drops off to a floating bass interlude. Ahhh, I found myself on a purple cloud with a velvet pillow at that point and just as I was about to fall off into psychedelic slumber you rolled me off into a storm cloud amid thunderous percussion and a super heavy downpour of some nasty electronic distortion ! Uhhh, a bit scary it was, but I reveled in the badassery of it !
StaticNomad
StaticNomad replied 20th Feb 2017 - 8 years ago
Yo, NeoCelloGrunginBustedNutBro.

I recommend shutting out all other possible interruptions when choosing to imbibe the Nomad grooves. Perhaps wear headphones in a sensory deprivation tank. Or go out into the wilderness and listen away, hoping bears or snakes don't interrupt you. If they do, blast the track at them on speakers and they'll surely also get into it.

Anyway:

"a bunch of layered bass as it begins"

Yes. There are certain issues with using cello as a bass instrument - mostly because it's not a double bass. But it seems to work OK here though I did have to add an octave effect to some section just to give a more solid low end.

"That groove is mighty cool man"

Yeah, I think it's fun and addictive.

"a fair share of plucking strings here"

Yes, I think I began this one the day after having my first cello lesson last year. But I've sat on it for ages as I didn't have a clue where to take it and felt rather limited with my riff capabilities. There's more plucking (pizzicato) in it than bowing.

"some dreamy synth pads"

Just one violin patch that I've used in loads of tracks. Sounds like a pad because of the chain of effects (eg automated swept EQ) on it. A lovely sound.

"I found myself on a purple cloud with a velvet pillow at that point"

That's a wonderful place to be. My pleasure to take you there.

"you rolled me off into a storm cloud amid thunderous percussion and a super heavy downpour of some nasty electronic distortion"

Yes - that's just one cello riff at the end. It was sitting on the timeline in this project file and didn't know what to do with it. I thought it was some fairly average, stock hard riffage and considered getting rid of it. Then I realised I might as well tack it onto the end of this track as a final flourish.
"a bit scary it was"

Surely not for someone who makes Meshuggah covers?

Good to hear your detailed thoughts. Another track coming within a couple of weeks.

Hang tight till then...

Hey bro, I normally avoid spoken word tracks because they are usually pretty lame. You've changed my view with this one. I really dig the two voice track idea here. Not sure if its the intent or not but I relate it to the voice in your head that in this case seems to be your inner demon, who is obviously using your bit of hard luck to convince you that life is not worth living. Its a pretty heavy issue that is a reality struggle that a lot of people deal with at some point in their life. The message here is simple, Life is not easy for most people, its meant to be a challenge. If your going to survive you have to be strong, you have to be tough, and you have to believe you can overcome adversity. As hard as life seems to be sometimes, its still wonderful. Listening to this made me reflect back on some real bad times in my life and I'm so thankful that I had faith, pushed through it and didn't listen to that inner demon. Great pieNice work man, I love the music arrangement and your voice track is really superb. I could feel the emotion. Your super talented bro. I did a pop track recently and decided to check out a few others being featured. This is a very slick track bro. I like the swanky dark vibe of it and your low register vocal is not only a nicely subdued match for the music it is also damn good ! My only suggestion would be, as a few others have eluded to, maybe invest a little more time to work on some dynamics. Since its a bit minimal musically and as great as your voice is, it has a monotone nature, so you have to be careful of it sounding stale or boring. Please don't take that the wrong way. I think you definitely have some major potential here.

on I Will Have You Destroyed by Evisma
This is a killer track Evan, so the name is very appropriate. I love the Celtic flavoring you are able to produce. The acoustic intro is so Renaissance festival, I'm instantly picturing the ample bouncing breasted wenches and smelling the Turkey Legs and mead. But then this quickly melds into a shifting cacophony of suspenseful interlude which is quite masterfully composed. That sharply toned bass is so wicked along with the flute and (are those guitar?) plucks. Nice tension building here and then the addition of percussion and choir really pumps up the production value. The second half continues the bass driving groove with some segmented percussion to sustain the tension. I have to complement you on the drum work through out the track bro. It really put this on a much higher level percussion wise than I believe you have been before. My only critique with the track would be to point out there at 2:43 the guitar and bass are seemingly battling for space a bit, not sure if its volume or separation that's the issue, and its a very minor one to say the least. The orchestrated synth that kicks in to start the outtro is very cool and just puts the finishing touch on this amazing piece. Your really raising the bar with stuff like this Evan. Seriously.

Greetings, good sir.

I'm very happy you liked this one. Sorry for my late response. Ah, my track evokes titties and intoxicating beverages in the mind. These things are all good.

"...(are those guitar?) plucks."

Yes, high up on the neck of the acoustic I'm about to part with. I don't record much with my mic, but my crappy little acoustic Squier has been in several things.

"....there at 2:43 the guitar and bass are seemingly battling for space a bit...."

Here is where I call complete and total bullshit on you,.... because it's all bass. (I win!) The lead and the backing are both bass guitars, and I'll bet they're going through the same pickup configuration on both parts. Good ears. They don't get along because I usually roll the blend pot on my bass a touch for recording different parts to separate their tone. So yes, you are correct. They probably are fighting for space since they're the same instrument.

Thanks for the listen, and the feedback. I've got a new one now that is heavier and lighter. Using amp sims out the wazoo!

Take care.

Hey Evan,

I'm really impressed with the production on this. You have always shown excellent skills in playing and composing but your really getting too good! Have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the acoustic intro. Awesome articulation there bro and and I dig the subtle delays that are timed just perfectly. I differ from sford because the piano accompanyment is in my opinion the icing on this cake. I had to re-play it 4 or 5 times before listening to the rest of the song. Sorry. Quite honestly it's fairly easy to work up a few riffs, throw some chords together, pipe it through some effects, drop in some bass and drums and viola. I'm always more impressed musically with lyrical composition than anything else. Lyrical in the sense of the artistically beautiful or expressive quality of a piece. Having said that I don't mean to understate the rest of this track. I really dig it as well. I think you and I both have similar interest in the more technical structures so I'm definitely grooving on your time signature and poly rhythmic stuff here. And yeah I'm still trying to decode the subliminal message contained in that outro! Very intellectual but also a lot of fun.

I like the piano lines I write, but not my piano sound, really. I'll be looking into EZKeys at some point.

Ah, yes. The track went to heavier stuff because I really like using contrast as a way to make up for having no vocals to listen to and follow.

Very kind and generous words from you, good sir. I thank you.

Take care.

on LITTLE DREAD by Planetjazzbass
Really dig this one Dave. Brings back some memories of hanging with a few old band members and checking out different guitar music. I was never much into Reggae but one of the guys was always trying to get us to do some and was always playing us tunes from Marley, Dennis Brown, Mikey Dread and others. This undoubtedly has a fair amount of Jazz flavoring which I really enjoyed. Such a pleasant groove all the way through. Great listen , great track.

on Fist Bumps Of Fury by StaticNomad
Bromadic Stat,

Man for your sake I hope Hogan Howe isn't a fan of Looperman. Scotland Yard might not approve of such an unmitigated display of drum brutality as this !! My arms and legs hurt just listening to it.

Haha, great track here bro and yes unbelievable no synths. Aside from it's Epic-ness level of super-human drumming the guitars aren't to be overlooked. They are pretty much wailing like Banshees throughout. I really dig the end groove starting around 4:40, very cool guitar riffs and double bass quad kicks. Just a completely intense track from start to finish that showcases some blistering guitar (possibly your heaviest work to date) and some criminally insane drumming, the likes of which might not ever be allowed to be produced again without an adult rating. Way too brutal for young ears, as well as dead Grandmothers ears!

Brutal greetings.

You initially confused me with your Hogan Howe reference. "Who the hell is that?", I thought. Then I worked out that you mean Bernard Hogan-Howe, head of the Met Police in London. How do you know about that guy? Is he well known in Texas?

Anyway, yes, I may end uop being arrested for excessive drum brutality. I am willing to face my punishment and make no apology for such a criminally insane display of thunderous, swinging metal madness.

You're totally right about the super-human drumming as that's exactly what some of it is. Multiple kits are often playing simultaneously though if you listen to just one of those kits, you'll find that one drummer would not have enough limbs to pull off that playing, eg when the toms are banging away there's also hats and crash, kick and snare so probably sometimes 5 or 6 simultaneous hits. The drummer would have to attach sticks to his head and dick to manage it all.

"the guitars aren't to be overlooked"

That's right - never overlook the guitars in a heavy track containing only bass, drums and guitar. My main guitar regret is the lack of a continuing solo around 2:27. There it sounds like a cool, high solo should happen but it doesn't, instead just fading away. I should probably go back and try adding around 10-15 secs of soloing there to make it feel complete.

Yes, this track should probably have a high Looperman brutality rating and warning. Imagine if small children logged on and listened to this. That could be very dangerous.

End riffage around 4:40 is just a return to my previous "chorus" riff, which is easily the best one in the whole thing. That's why you hear it many times.

This may be unsuitable for dead grandmothers' ears but can you believe that my little old mum actually likes this track? She mostly likes jazz, classical and choral music, nothing heavy or aggressive whatsoever. I gave her a lot of warning about how brutal and intense it was but she was amused by the title so said she'd like to hear it. I said I expected her to hate it but she instead like the exuberance, the joy and the swing. "Sorry to disappoint you", she said, as I was surprised she even listened to the whole thing. Mother's metal!

I'm pleased she liked it as I think it shows that, for all its power, it still has some melodic merit and some cool grooves. It's fun brutal rather than evil or depressing brutal. I don't make that sort of music and always look for cool grooves and melody and stuff.

on Scarecrows for the Birds by DanGoldstein
Hey Dan,

I like the quirky nature of this track, works well as background audio for the video. I have noticed Pete Jon Tebar also had a track used for one of your art projects here a while back. How are you associated with the art works if you dont mind my asking?

Thanks Neomorpheus for checking this out with the video. I discover the art online and ask artists for permission to promote their work with music on my website. I have sold a few prints this way for the artists. I am trying to get more composers involved in writing music for the art and selling the art. It is a way for composers to use their music as part of a business - at least that is the idea! Regards - Dan

on No More Never by Eighteen
"I'm Eighteen and I don't know what I want", Ooops, sorry bro. It's just that I'm reminded of the Alice Cooper song "Eighteen" when I see your name. Ever heard it? Yeah man, like the others I'm really digging this sound of yours and as mentioned I have never heard stuff like this before. In listening to this I was able to notice a little clipping which I think certain areas of the vocal section is pushing the ceiling too much. I love the track though and think you really have a unique thing going on. The vocaloid combined with the chip tune / Arcade video game sound effects really gets me thinking of Japanese Anime. Very cool stuff bro.

Haha tis allright, I dont listen to Cooper so I am not sure if I understand the pun fully xD but oh well

I'm happy to hear everyone keeps saying they never heard stuff like this before, its what I aim for and am very pleased to hear it so often.

yeah the voices clipped indeed, I lowered it a lot with EQing, I put a sine on the voice, and I guess it was a bit too high frequenty.

haha yeah I love anime sounds, so it might be that I have some ideas from what I have heard in the past.

Arcade game sounds I got those ideas from kanye.

Thanks for the nice comment man!
