Description : Dear folks...to put it short and simple...this is essentially Ed's (Tumbleweeds's) tune thrown into dangerous waters of me noodling on this time slightly distorted piano ! Hate it or love it...we love you all the same !:)

Orlando, how are you, my friend? It's been a while, I hope all is well with you.

One of the things I enjoy the most about yours and Eds work, either together or separate, is how it's always positive and uplifting. Even the more sombre or melancholic tracks have a distinct air of hope and happiness. For someone who spends so much time in the dark, (literally and figuratively), it's good to know that I never have to go far to find just a little bit of light. In other words, when I'm navigating the outside world, I don a dark and heavy armor to get through the day, but in the sanctuary of my my own home, after the armor comes off, this is commonly what I choose to listen to for the sake of unwinding.
This track reminds me of a gentle rain on a cloudy summer day. The air is rich and humid, but the cold of the rain is so refreshing. Your piano in this is the cool rain to Ed's backdrop of warm, humid air. Together making a pleasurable experience.

Again, I hope all is well with you.

Take care.
Aaron.

Hey my friend...so good to hear from you again...yes it's been a while. I'm just fine at the moment and I hope you are as well. Yet I would be happy if I had more time for making music. I'm on a constant hunt for some more free time lately but I hope things will turn to normal soon.
I'm glad you liked my rainy effort and I have to say that working with Ed always makes it special. Yes, you're very good observer. When I analyse my tracks I see not only somber tracks have always something uplifting within, but also happier ones often reveal glimpses of something more somber. It's always a cocktail of feelings and I think it oozes to the surface through subconsciousness.
Thank you so much for stopping by and for this lovely comment.

See you around soon_____Orlando

Hey hey, Jamid my friend! See you very rarely around here
these days but it's always a pleasure whenever you pay us a visit!:) I'm doing just fine although there's very little time for me to make music at the moment. I'm trying to catch up as much as I can but it's an uphill battle all the time. Thank God I can still work with Ed, so he saves me some time in terms of time demanding hunt for new ideas!
I'm glad you like this one and I hope there will be some more soon! Thank you so much as always for your kind words and support...oh yes,...and for the fav ofcourse!:)

You guys always seem to have the formula to make great music when you work together. The piano is perfect for the piece, like a singing melody line it takes the listener deeper into the song. Nice and easy on the ears, peaceful and intimate, soulful and uplifting! Always a pleasure!

Hola Wayne...always a pleasure to hear from you. I'm really glad to hear that you find the piano lines on the positive side. It was pretty adventurous to me to rely on piano so much in this piece, yet according to feedbacks it worked somehow and I'm glad for that. Thank you so much for your friendly review and the fav !

Ahh, late night back from work. I make a nice gin and tonic (perfect mix of gin, lime and tonic water.) then I sit back and listen too this. I think my blood pressure has fallen to an acceptable level, and I can finally relax. mate this is some fine work weaving Ed´s guitars and composition with the beauty of your Piano playing. We have reached Nirvana! Only Gabriel, and Ferry and maybe Gilmour have reached this level of intimacy in there arrangements. Bravo...Bravo

Wow Steve...this is incredibly generous my friend ! As if
Peter, Bryan and David were there because of too much gin and tonic...haha...Joke aside my friend...I'm sure our friend Ed would be delighted to read this too, and personally I like the idea of music as blood presure leveling tool..:) Thank you so much for your kind words and the fav as well...means the world!:)

The beginning (0:00-0:40) reminded me about ambient piece in one of Fallout games (i think it was Fallout 4). Overall a really great track, i will listen to it in the cold winter evenings.

The more times I listen to this one the more I love that piano of yours Leon....and I`ve been listening every moring on my MP3 player (when I walk & try to compensate for my bad habits).....Thank you again my friend...this one would never have survived without your talented additions...Ed

Thank you so much my friend for stopping by and for your very generous words of support and encouragment....and if it's true that this track survived only because of my involvement then I'm happy as one can be, and can one get a bigger compliment than this? Or if I say it more on a joke side...should I become a founder of "Trash Bin Recovery Agency"? I would certainly be very much in favour of that idea, especially when a very particular trash bin over there in Canada is in question..:)

With much gratitude & looking forward for the next one..

Holy hell, I love this! So spiritual and seductive. Kinda reminds me of Saltillo with its hip-hop/world motifs. I love the interplay between the guitar and the piano. It's like they're saying different things sometimes, but they carry the same feeling. Fantastic. Loved the journey.

I'm in love with that piano. It sounds so sexual and seductive. The guitars give it that pg 13 feel but that piano is saying rated r (in my mind and imagination). Good feeling. Is that you playing that piano? Peace & Blessings

Orlando51 replied 28th Oct 2016 - 8 years ago
Well...that's really nice to hear!:) Yeah, that's me on that piano. I don't think that I'm any good at it, but when you find it even sexual and seductive...well, that's a compliment and a half!:) Thank you so much mate !

Description : Sounds of the sea and trippy acidy washes with a cool beat and some live acoustic guitar. Written in Cubase with live guitar and keys etc. The sound of the sea and birds was recorded on the beach where I used to live. After moving to the city one sunny day I was telling stories to a friend about living by the sea and started making this track.

Description : I used some new "Anthem" pickups from L.R. Baggs on my Martin acoustic to see how it performed, and it definitely beat my expectations. Captured the sound perfectly as I needed.

Anyhoo, this song is almost a prayer, hence the repetitiveness of the verses. As Christians, we believe that God will one day return and take away every suffering and all evil for good; in that regard, this song is almost one of waiting too. Very simple, with vocal harmonies and whatnot. Hope you enjoy this as much as I did making it. Made in 13 hours.

Someone else wrote the words, I was just inspired to use them. I only added the "Yeah" and "Amen."

Description : This is a track off of one of my EP's I dropped last year. It is based on True events. Sometimes when people finally take a second in life to slow down and breathe in..... The oxygen is deflated and it's too late. Take your time people, because time is what differs a good decision over a bad one. Life is precious!

Description : So a guy buys a nice guitar at a pawn shop but returns it a few days later after waking from a sound sleep to hear it playing by itself. When he tells of his experience he is shocked to learn the owner had actually died while playing it. Is it fantasy or truth? Is the guitar in this track that very same guitar? Its all part of the mystery and fun of Halloween !
EDIT: modified ending to a deeper voice

Description : A progressive journey incorporating deep ambient chillout, swing jazz, hip hop, d'n'b, trance and a slight touch of acid with a thousand ninjas battling in space. Features a great deal of my lead slide resonator guitar playing. Also a whole load of synths, programmed acoustic drum kits and manipulated drum loops, big basslines, regular electric guitar, vocoded guitar parts and bass guitar (distorted right at the end). If you like deep chill, far out soaring beauty, fat beats and 170 BPM uplifting slide trance controlled mayhem, you might just get into this. In my heaven there is an endless supply of honey mangoes (an exquisite beauty of the fruit world) and even more slide guitar. A 1,000-year-long version of this track plays there on a loop (long enough not to get bored of it) but here I offer you the Earthly 11 min version. You must be very good to be accepted into my heaven to hear the full thousand year version so best start now. It may be heaven's main theme tune but it's not above criticism so feel free to let me know what you think of it. Maybe you prefer the soundtrack in hell. I hear it's pretty badass...
