Definetly one of the best spoken word tracks I ever heard. The story is captivating especially as it feels like an inner discussion and struggle to keep your head above water. The music is very supportive and blends in well. Just remember, life is never worthless. You are gifted and I am glad I pushed the play button on this track!

Hey bro, I normally avoid spoken word tracks because they are usually pretty lame. You've changed my view with this one. I really dig the two voice track idea here. Not sure if its the intent or not but I relate it to the voice in your head that in this case seems to be your inner demon, who is obviously using your bit of hard luck to convince you that life is not worth living. Its a pretty heavy issue that is a reality struggle that a lot of people deal with at some point in their life. The message here is simple, Life is not easy for most people, its meant to be a challenge. If your going to survive you have to be strong, you have to be tough, and you have to believe you can overcome adversity. As hard as life seems to be sometimes, its still wonderful. Listening to this made me reflect back on some real bad times in my life and I'm so thankful that I had faith, pushed through it and didn't listen to that inner demon. Great pieNice work man, I love the music arrangement and your voice track is really superb. I could feel the emotion. Your super talented bro. Good things are in store for you, believe in yourself and make it happen.

Dude, whoa. I mean, whah? THIS IS FUCKING BRILLIANT. Yes, I would like to hear some radass wailing guitar in the 2nd part, but then again i want wailing guitar in everything. From the first word I was mesmerized, and it never wavered. Never heard anything like it. I love it all but especially love the devil voice taunts. You're one trippy talented motherfucker.

    Emolyte

I won't say no a wailing guitar haha. I strive for difference. Originality. So for you to say you haven't heard anything like it is a goal achieved. Trippy Talented Motherfucker is a name I choose to accept!

Excellent work Eyedye. I thought you did perfect in recreating how it was inside your head, though it was much scarier there I enjoyed the story presentation along with the rough voices, i hear it the same wouldnt have done it any other way because its right. Keep going thanks for still being here. Peace.

Good to hear from ya man. A very personal one from me, and it does get scary sometimes. But some the best things Ive done have been confronting some of those voices. I will continue to keep going and create more. Im glad you still listen.

Nice job expressing and opening yourself up in a track. The dramatic music and background vox are effective in setting a dark and ominous mood. There's always a light at the end of the tunnel and making compositions like this can be a great stress reliever and some form of mental healing. It's heartfelt, honest and so you. To me, that's what music is all about.

Overall I found life isn't easy and we all go through tough times and how we deal with it dictates our happiness. It's a good time to learn about oneself and to grow as a person. It doesn't seem to feel that way when it is happening but after you make it through your tough time, you can look back and be proud of yourself and pat yourself on the back for doing it. Just lost a band mate from my first band from depression because life got him down and he drank himself to death. What a waste, so talented and he gave up.

    Take care!

Very Kind words sir. Music is about the only reliever I've got. Sorry to hear about your bandmate man, It seems lot of bands unfortunately go through something like that. I see it much too often. But im still holding on and giving all I got cuz music is about all I really do have. Stay tuned Brother

Yo! The contrast between light and dark, between good and bad, is highlighted well. The voice representing the darker side is spooky, its threatening, and its perfect. It represents the conflicts that we as people deal with, the voice (or voices) in our heads. The whole song up until 3 minutes, I picture someone trying to get ready for like a workout or a strenuous task. And at 3 mins, they start the task and just beast thru it with undying strength. Love the ending reverse piano. Keep up the great work. Peace & Blessings.

I`ve been away slacking for a long time so just catching up with this one now....I did several music mixes for a spoken word artist a few years ago so have some appreciation for the art and the talents it takes to do it well....The backing music caught my attention right from note one..lovin it...nice fat piano...and the cello is great for adding emotional depth to most any kind of music..thoughtful lyrics even if they are dark (thats part of our journey too)....This is honestly one of the very best spoken word performances I have heard Eyedye (and I have heard many)..change nothing.....bravo...standing ovation from an old guy up North.....Ed

Ed, another talent I'm honored to receive feedback from. You haven't slacked much, only been up for a couple weeks so you're good haha. Dark is kinda my thing. To be put among your top performers is honestly awesome. To the old guy up North, I thank you for the time :)

That CELLO!! This is quite raw and contains so much depth. This is the first spoken-word song I have been able to listen to without cringing. You actually convey the feeling behind the words. Good job, I cannot commend this enough. The backing vocals add a touch of suffering that really carried this song far. Beautiful piece of art here. I hope you're doing better.

Description : I had no particular intention doing this, but then it just came on me out of nowhere....How to make an antithesis Halloween work!? Prior to that there were no plans to make a track for the occasion, furthermore I've never been really interested in such a thing. It always seemed a bit silly to me if not outright childish. But then I remembered the Interview with The Vampire and Bram Stoker's Dracula. My gosh, there was some peculiar romanticism in there and I probably don't have to tell you twice that this must be a bait for Orlando, as is a cup of fresh young blood for a vampire...:) Furthermore I like people who are different, so I just have to like vampires who a different as well...hehe...so it should be dawning on you by now that this won't be your standard Halloween tune...haven't I mentioned "antithesis"? So...no growling zombies, midnight cemetery bells, creaking doors or any of your favourite horror sounds, although it's still a little bit darker in tone...hell yeah, vampires are still vampires...haha...but this one is mainly about a vampire desperately in love with a young lady, craving for her as a madman...I won't tell whether she's also a vampire or not, cause you might figure it out listening to the track...^^ Otherwise it was about time for me to come up with a new solo work, since I've been almost exclusively doing collabs in those past few months (which I love ofcourse)...afteral you can always ask Ed...:)^^____Happy Halloween folks!:)
