Description : "Velvet Pulse" opens with an electronic breath, an ethereal synth that creates a floating atmosphere.A few delicate percussions appear, like a slowly awakening heartbeat.
Then the saxophone enters the scene-warm, melancholic, almost human.
It converses with the machine, like a soul searching for its place in a digital world.
The percussions become heavier, more present, marking the rise in tension: the sound thickens, the groove takes shape.

Description : I wrote this song in 2005, when I used the keyboard to play the saxophone part. Recorded with FL Studio V5. The lyrics and the concept of a snowball tree came from a friend in Russia. Many thanks to Armando Eldesolden, whose voice I incorporated into the 2025 remix :-)

Description : Sometimes, all you need for a song is two loops and a fantastic voice.The beautiful piano loop is by PenelopeRed and the voice is by emkay13d2 from Dallas. He claims that in his other life, he is a teardrop.
Perhaps I should thank him for that, as otherwise he wouldn't have been able to sing such a beautiful song which is called 'Forgotten', I translated the lyrics from Hindi. James helped me with the saxophone this time. Now, let's head off to romantic Bollywood.

Description : I just finished another track from samples I found here. Specifically the drum and bass samples. For which I sincerely thank the owners of these samples. I am responsible for the other tracks such as the guitar parts, keyboards and soprano saxophone. It was a lot of fun working on this track. Description : I crafted this track entirely today. My aim was to capture a specific chill vibe, though it ended up differently than I originally envisioned. Nevertheless, I'm pleased with how it turned out. I played a Wurlitzer electric keys, drums, piano, a couple of bass guitars, and of course, the saxophone. What are your thoughts on it?

Description : Updated version of a previously posted track. Still not done, but I feel like I'm getting there. My idea is for each part to be it's own thing, kind of like a medley, but hopefully it'll all sound cohesive. It's primarily made with synths, but I want to include other instruments as well, hence the saxophone at around 0:58 (im open to feedback on getting a more realistic sax sound)Feedback is appreciated. I'm taking time with this one to make sure I'm 100% satisfied with the end product

Description : I had groove in my mind and starting translating it on the keyz. It kind of went elsewhere in the end but its all good. :) I started by laying down some smooth chords, and then the bass line. I created the drum\percussion and after that brought out the baritone saxophone. I did some reverse engineering to my chords to create the pad and the rest is history. Whatcha think?

Description : Music composed by Alex Richard and Laurent Wirz. With: Hanspeter Dubach Lead and rhythm guitars, Alex Richard Bass and rhythm guitars, Claude Barbotte Hammond organ, Joël Perrin Saxophone and me at the drums. The two grooves I used for this one are to find under Loops and Sample, member laurentwirz, reggae. Also an excellent loop from member ebae. I have to say that I asked Michael Mayo before publishing it but I received no answer yet. It was pretty difficult with his acapella because it's a pretty short loop with not a lot of words (for an almost 5 minutes track)! You can ear also some background vocals from Patricia Edwards and I hope it's okay for her.

Description : A fat groove journey incorporating hip hop, jazz, rock and more. Chilled out and rocking, with some big riffs and basslines. The main instruments are saxophone, piano and cello plus some resonator guitar and banjo. Sax is the only instrument not played by me as the parts here were contributed a few years ago by a guy I know. Anything that sounds like distorted guitar is actually distorted cello. Loads of that, including solos, in the second half. No electric guitar or bass guitar. Not much synth work but there are two synth basses and an organ. Otherwise, it's quite an acoustic "played instruments" kind of sound. Lots of drums, including loops, multiple programmed acoustic kits and drum hits. I know Radiohead have an excellent song called Everything In Its Right Place but I still like my title and there's a story behind it (nothing to do with music). Interesting feedback appreciated. Do you have any favourite or least favourite sections? Details are appreciated...

Description : Hey guys, this is a remix of Borgeous' track "This Could Be Love." I loved the original mix, and finally decided to put my own spin on it. I got the stems from Borgeous himself, due to him holding a remix competition for the track. Although I ran out of time to submit the track (the contest submissions closed in April(whoops) I would still like to think that this mix could have won. The only problem I have is the saxophone melody during the "drop" of the song. For some reason, I feel as though it might be a little stiff, but it may just be me, and it sounds fine. I hope you guys enjoy the tropical vibes, and don't forget to comment and critique!Rico L.
