Description : A cover of the Judy Tzuke song (1979) and an amazing vocal performance by the very talented Pauline Wright. It's a real bass guitar and the acoustic solo towards the end is my trusty Ovation Celebrity. I have also doubled some lines with an electric where it gets a bit "celestial" and all the sting patches are from Logic X. Hope you like it and as always your comments much appreciated.

Description : Chillout, funky fat 95 BPM organic electro led by some fun, tinkly arps. A bit of an organic, tribal feel, especially when the flutes are playing, and some fat smooth synth basses, plus a big fuzzy one later on as the track gets bigger and heavier. Slide resonator guitar in the second half, including a dual slide resonator solo (2 different resonators playing simultaneously sort of duelling with each other). A few drum loops but mostly 3 programmed acoustic kits. The heavy, double time drumming before the flutes return around 3:53 may be a bit unnecessary (I'm not sure, let me know). Interesting reflections, praise, suggestions and criticisms welcome and appreciated. "Nice track bro"-ers can save that unhelpful type of comment for another track (or 50). I hope listening to this transports you to a magical place, even if it is for only a few minutes...

Description : If you're old enough, you will remember the 60s and 70s 'surf' music fad, popularized by Dick Dale, The Del-Tones, The Ventures, Etc. Well, this track has remnants of those early sounds with a bit of updating. It has the recognizable guitar twang, Hammond organ, and even the Farfisa organ. I even took the song title from a 1965 surf movie, so take a trip back in time and give it a listen and let me know what you think. Downloads always available to enjoy with my tracks.

Description : Hello all, finally got around to polishing this track, which came from a collab with FarM (known on here as honkytonk). He provided me with some drum and bass work, and I came back with a demo that was essentially what you are hearing now. I just fixed the tuning and some pops at transitions. The tuning basically thwarted our collab I think, because without really remembering I played the guitar parts tuned to 432 Hz *** http://csglobe.com/music-conspiracy-to-detune-us-from-natural-432-hz-harmonics/ ***and left all the other instruments at 440 Hz as a result...heh. Sounded much better after fixing that. Anyway it's got some dubstep and industrial most obviously. Yet another song I unconsciously ripped off from Skinny Puppy. Thanks for taking a listen! Description : This is one of my more musical tracks. The intro was inspired by the opening track of Dire Straits Debut album. The main body is a series of stuff I played and looped myself. Some midi loops and some audio loops. Over that is a bit of guitar and keys noodling. This one admittedly is pretty self indulgent but I like it...lol.Comments are valued and welcomed.

Description : A collaboration with Shortbusmusic and Spivkurl.BIG shout out to Barry for the guitar he did for the track, BIG shout out to Pat for the bass line and arpeggio he did for the track, both guys made each part especially for the track, MASSIVE thank you guys, Mix and mastering was done by myself, drum beat used is from Alen9r profile.

Description : Back with an update of this song- 8 June 2014. Took to heart a lot of the helpful comments I got on the earlier version, and I think the ideas helped a lot. This contains some incidental guitar work, which I'd like to dedicate to a friend who is no longer with us. (They won't get away with this!) Added some things and removed others, toned down the automation and effects slightly. It's a little longer now too. Hope you all enjoy listening! Oh yeah, BTW all the vocals are mine including the melodic parts, since some people asked.-----New moon new song, that didn't take too long. Did this over the last few days. I went into this with some urges to fuse electro house with classic rock, so I'll call it fusion. Played some improv on my Baldwin Fanfare organ. Take what you want from it, and compost the rest. Description : 'Grinnin' In Your Face' is my second track featuring the voice of Son House (1902-1988). Just as 'John The Revelator' this re-mix was inspired by watching the rockumentary 'It Might Get Loud' with Jimmy Page, The Edge and Jack White. The pivotal moment comes when Jack White plays his favorite a capella track by Son House (www.youtube.com/watch?v=qTlSka5iqPY). This made a big impression on me. I wondered how House's incredible voice would sound when transposed to a housebeat. Thus unusual combo of two genres (blues/gospel and house) worked out fine, I think, in 'John The Revelator'. For the new track I sought a hard edge approach. Instead of the lyrical sax by STAX, I used electric guitars for solo and rythmic elements, going for the very rough sound Jack White demonstrates in the rockumentary by playing, slightly out of key, one-string slide-guitar. 'Grinnin' In Your Face' is part of a Son House Project I'm working on, paying hommage to the old blues in a new musical environment.The guitar tunes tracks and mixes listed here are copyright and may not be used in your projects.
