Description : smooth jazz track that ive had on file for a while..working on the guitar solo through my midi controller...whew...anyway i thought i would upload this for comments and downloads...really looking for feedback on thisone...stop by and tell me what you think
Description : Title cut from my current project " Symbolic Knowledge ". This is an alternate version. Created with FL8 and featuring a guitar solo and bass guitar from me.
Description : My fellow Looperman ShortBusMusic pointed me in the direction of this fantastic acapella (thanks Bear)
The timing is a little odd and there are a couple of 3/4 bars in there to keep you on your toes. Acoustic guitar on one side and my Godin Xtsa on it's acoustic setting on the other. Electric down the middle picking out the chords, acoustic piano, strings, EZdrums with a tam mirroring the snare, an arpeggio thing going on in the background and a self indulgent guitar solo. I had a great time putting this together!!
Description : I created the melody and lyrics some years ago. Today, out of the blue, it popped into my head and I found myself humming it a lot. So, I decided to do a quick record and upload. I'm not allowing downloads but definitely interested in working with someone to make this a full song.
What I hear in my head as far as instrumentation are strings and a soft rock guitar solo which precedes a repeat of the last verse and chorus.
If you have any interest, and you are a good fit, I send you the file.
Description : My homage to Fagen & Becker, from Steely Dan with a little Doobie Brothers thrown in. Written by myself, vocals thanks to Mendez & Muna and the outstanding guitar solo, thanks to Charlie Hutto. It runs almost 10 minutes, but hang in there, it’s fun.
Description : The smash hit single from the new album, Riots & Runaways. A must listen, all the way through. A slow, emotional track that implements harmonics and reverb that climax into a painful, sorrowful guitar solo. Enjoy.
Description : A collaboration with MusicIzMee4Ever and another stunning vocal from her. It took a little time to get some momentum going on the track but I think the six eight timing works well. I have chopped the main and backing vocal up quite a bit and tried not to "give it all away" in the first 16 bars or so. The guitar solo uses a patch on my GR 55 called "scat".
Description : one more re-write - changed up arrangement a little - shortened guitar solo to a one verse, etc...
ok - so I tightened up and rearranged the intro stops and now feature John Nathan on vocals. Still may have more mixing and re-writing possibly, but its definitely gettin there and I think if I have it professionally recorded down in Nashville, they will know what to do with it.
Description : Something i've been working on in pro tools 9 for a couple of days now, not finished as of yet. just an instrumental thats not mastered or mixed with much effort on my part. Getting two of my mates to rap out the verses and a singer preferable a girl to sing the chorus for me. so eventually it'll be a colab between three other artists I know, with me having written and produced the entire thing. I'm adding a nice guitar solo/lick during the small middle eight break and i've also decided to stick to my guns and add a dubstep section which will add about another 40 seconds to the end :) also goin to be adding a different alternating drum pattern so it's not so boring.
Sorry for this mix being so god damn quiet! it's set at -6db because i was mixing through an old pair of monitor headphones that distort :( also pegged it back a little on the output master because I needed some headroom for the vocals when they get recorded in later on.
In short, something simple with a very simple beat and melody.
Description : A collaboration with Farisha and my interpretation of a fantastic vocal acapella. My Ovation double tracked and panned hard right and left with a fretless bass played in using my Casio MG510 midi guitar. Drums from EZdrummer and some additional percussion in the shape of a guiro, agogo and a cowbell. Apologies for the mental guitar solo but I wanted something that cut right across the laid back landscape.
Description : This song was written by Lacey Cruse. I added in the bass and synth using Axiom 61, my brother Paul Lucas played the keyboards, and Ryder played the electric guitar solo. Lacey sang and played acoustic guitar. Recorded and mixed using Logic Studio.
Description : This song is the creation of my son Alexander (14) using an ipad with the awesome Korg itribe app for the beats & the unbelievable Korg synth app for the bass and other pad sounds. He recorded the layers down into Logic 9, then he added a alto sax solo and a breath taking keyboard solo using his M audio keyboard patched through Logics mainstage to create that authentic 80s lead synth sound.
I have layered the horn section parts and recorded the end guitar solo using a digitech RP 50 multi effects box.
This is the first mix, so if you hear anything that needs tweaking don't forget to mention it as this is getting pressed onto a cd album.
Im' totally blown by these apps from Korg! They didn't cost much but they have added real value to the tools we producers and musicians can use. Top stuff!!!
Description : A funk drum line, a funk rhythm guitar line, and a hot lead break. Basically a little guitar solo showcase. Hope you like. Name indicates the absence of my bass player Freddie.
Description : This track features a baritone sax riff as a common thread throughout the song. This is the final mix of the track mastered through Logic ( boosted guitar solo & Alexander is panned left for his solos ) which is destined for our forthcoming "Festival" cd release.
All constructive comments welcome. I have rerecorded Alexander's solo clean on this final mix., and I feel it has a much better sound..
I used a digitech RP50 for the guitar solo, this sound really allows the pinched harmonics to sing on the Les Paul heritage.
Description : Far out mid-tempo fat beat deep chillout grooves with Eastern/Arabic and slightly menacing vibes, huge delayed synth bass and a great palette of psychedelic layered and intricate sounds (mostly synths) and a stirring, epic feel. Even has guitar solo section reminiscent of some 80s power rock which is then followed by a brief synth harp solo. I began making it straight after staying round the flat of the flute player from the legendary Ozric Tentacles - easily the greatest ever space rock band. I made this in about 2001 and still think it might be my best track (and it's nice and short, for a change). My production skills were much weaker in those days (no EQ, compression or mastering used here) but, somehow, this one turned out pretty much just right. Feel free to disagree. Now sit back and get ready to trip extremely far out. If you manage to return, let me know how that trip was...
Description : Alright. This is the first piece finished since the studio fire ripped everything apart a couple of days before New Years. This is a lot heavier than other pieces. It's about human experimentation and torture that took place during the Japanese occupation of Nanking during the 2nd world war. A video is already in talks and already is being planned but I would love to have vocals behind it. So if anyone thinks they have what it takes feel free to send me what you can do. Ray Koefoed this one's yours if you want it. You said next time you might want to try something a bit darker and heavier, here it is. Reviews are always more than welcome and encouraged. This also is one of the only pieces with a guitar solo Slayer would be proud of. I had to bring it down to 160 kbps in order to maintain the idiotic 7 mb limit. The Youtube release will be a lot higher when i get around to it. Enjoy.
**update** yet another remaster! download again if you want
Description : First full track I completed in some time. It's not perfect bu it's a start. Drums and bass done on reason 3.0 , Vocals and Guitar in Adobe Audition 3.0. I incorporated a live guitar in the chorus and verses and even threw in a solo. I think if all hip hop songs had a guitar solo the world would be a better place. This is a rough draft so any comments on the mix would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Description : Updated remix 14th June...This is the finished track mixed through a pair of Yamaha HS50M studio monitors.
This is the 11th mix and upload of the 5th track taken from the forthcoming Saxobones album "Festival". This is a blues funk song featuring a 6 piece horn section, alto sax solo and my trusty heritage taking a guitar solo in the middle section. I am including a few vocal tracks on this album and this is the first.
All instruments Slap....Fiona ( my wife ) on vocals. The alto solo will be Alexander at some point in the future, but for now you will have to put up with me at the beginning.
Recorded into Logic using the line 6 toneport.
All comments welcome regarding any aspect of this track as it has to be spot on before it goes to get pressed.
Thanks to Spiv & Vicen who suggested backing vocals, these have really added another layer to the track..
Mahloo 13 suggested a panned double guitar track which has added much more clarity to the rhythm guitar part, also nudging the lead guitar solo forward along with all of the vocal parts. I have also on Mahloo's recommendation taken the reverb back from the vocals and solo guitar. Great ears and production skills mate, it's now sounding like a true song!
Description : Vocals by my 4 year old daughter (her first recording). LFO's supplying a throb throughout, lot's of fuzzy guitars. we kept to the original arrangement mostly. adding a filtered guitar solo and cheapshot breakdown.
sm57, fender P-bass, telecaster, lots of fuzzboxes, bleep laps "thingamagoop"...
Just for fun!!! ... cover of the Lipps Inc. classic written by Steven Greenberg.
someone give me a shout if this is gonna get me tossed from here!....lol.
Description : I made some changes cuz I am submitting this for a tv commercial - took the piano out, added a voc and a guitar solo and edited to make it a little shorter and more to the point.

Submit new songTV Commercial - Bluesy Honey Bee
Client is looking to license a blues-based contemporary rock and roll track. It would be great if the track could mention or make reference to "honey" or "bees" and be a melding of punk, blues and garage rock influences. The track needs to be guitar driven with a steady rhythm section. No strings. No piano. Think gritty, bluesy and driving. The tempo should be upbeat but steady. Nothing as fast as punk rock but it shouldn’t be as slow as traditional blues. Find a great middle ground. Remember, this needs to be a new blend of the genres listed but it MUST maintain a blues base.
No preference on whether its a male or female vocal but it CANNOT have a pop vibe to it.
Genre: Contemporary Blues, Punk, Garage Rock
Emotion: Gritty, Driving
Explicit Lyrics: No
Duration: Full Songs
Other Info: Must be at least 60 seconds long.
cruzin with my cuz like a honey bee do
im not thinkin bout the world no more
headin where its plush
lettin go of reason
I have always been intrigued by all kinds of music and have always had room for a plain "stupid diddy" fer the mix LOL
Description : A repost of one of biggest and best collabs I had been involved with several years ago.
Inspiration: Our goal was really just to arrange sending files to each other because it was a collab of 6 musicians, on 3 different continents...and see if all the files would line up together...then it quickly just sort of came together..... We would like to thank everybody for helping us and developing a lot of musical patience along the way on this project....we would like to thank the Moma's and Papa's for writing such a beautiful song and being a great musical inspiration for us all...Cheers! - Bilbozo
Bilbozo - keyboards, rhythm and acoustic guitars,
Kephas - lead guitar solo and percussion,
Mack Sanders - Vocals,
Scott (bassman) Macleod - bass,
Buddrumming - drums and percussion,
Steve (Slap) Bone - flute and the meanest sax solo
Recorded, arranged, mixed and engineered by Bill Smith at Hidden Mission Studios (BC, Canada) and Buddrumming Recording Studio (BC, CANADA)
Comments most welcom - Peace, love and music
Description : It started w/ the walking tremolo bass. I couldn't find it in myself to punch in and fix the guitar solo. Something about that first take feel.
It's been cold here at 8000'.
Description : Im not rappin , I just added a guitar solo at the end of the song
Description : This track is said to you as a Rock, but if you think that he is wrong, it will improve.
The song is dynamic and well to listen to it.
Jamie has done a solid job, he played a great guitar solo, and took care of the additional instruments.
I really like and I hope you too!
Big thanks to Jamie for your cooperation!
Description : Synths, Horn, Guitar by myslef. All drums are samples. Guitar solo is dodgy but I put down a one take guitar, felt it was spontaneous. Like oceans eleven music with a hint of Daft Punk. Would appreciate feedback and what you think it could be categorised as, have it under Electronic. Thanks, enjoy.
