This is just awesome my friend. Such a great fusion of sound. I like the vocals as well. Is that Janis(carole)? the dissonance of it works well. Soundhound has not trained his ears to hear that yet me thinks! The chill that this song evokes is breathtaking. And the cold ending with two chime like sounds is great as well. Thoroughly enjoyed searching out your work this evening. I was listening to what you remixed with " I wish I could fly" and each time I listen to it I love it more and more.

hello Cru
Thank you so much for playing my music and writing such a nice comments! I have to go through some hard times at the moment and your words really helped me to stay sane today. Not sure when I will return with something new regarding my music-making - for now I keep uploading some loops on this site only.
Vocal is by TaraToxic http://www.looperman.com/acapellas?mid=TaraToxic Those are 2 tunes I made with a german guy who skilfully programmed that guitar solo. The drumming is a midi performance of EZdrummer with some single additions of mine. I was aware of the 'different key' thing of the vocal part and I am glad you liked my vision - it surely might appear as something obviously unusual for some other people. I much appreciate your opinions and am happy that you like that special airy musical style I am doing.
Mentioning 'I wish I could fly' brings some nice memories - I really liked some of your older tunes I came across the moment when joining this site - especially 'Bedroom Games'. I think I might be able to make some better 're-orchestrations' as I progress with my arranging work (still learning a lot) in the future. Some themes from your songs are great - your synth work was really inspiring to me as well.
Truly I am doing all this stuff only because of this site - in 'a real life' I sometimes take a chance to play and record church organs (as it is a part of my work by actually restoring them). The music became a hobby to me but I plan to do something more with it at some point. We will see...
Thank you once again for your support and very nice comment. I much appreciate that.
Best to you, Alex
Love the Guitars and the Mix, not to sure about the Vocal though
they are in the wrong key...Different is good but wrong is not... :)
Keyboards really set the tone and moves this, in a very cool way...
Second time around listening, you don't even need that voice in
there it fills a space that Tranquility of the Harmonics would do wonders with...
Another small synth run or some extra bells moving across the spectrum...
I think it takes away from the true value of the track and that's
a shame...At lest till you find something better...
thank you. I mostly agree with what you're saying. These are 2 separated tracks - first one has very classic and simple instrumentation: lead guitar, Rhodes bass, main Rhodes and drums. Second one is much more experimental, I couldn't find vocals that will fit better in here, at some point they are sounding ok for me. Just some experimental track of mine. The guitar loop I used was too short so I started throwing more layers to keep it interesting. Also my laptop crashed and I ran out of memory when doing this one so I couldn't add the synth or epiano solo...
Thanks for listening to my music and some interesting thoughts! Alex
This has a really nice chill vibe to it. Not sure what the gap of silence was but then it picks back up where it left off. Pleasant sounding instruments. Vocals add a nice touch too.
Thank you! These are basically 2 different pieces I decided to join together as they were made out of the same guitar loop. I ran out of the upload space here - that's my way to put more work here.
Thanks again for some nice comment, Alex
I enjoyed the first minute and fifteen seconds and now it's gone into something a bit deeper and funky sounding. nice touch with the vocals over the top of the guitars and i dig the drum section as well, there's some really interesting snare work going on there.
You two have done a good job with this and it was a pleasure to drop by and listen.

These tracks definitely give the impression that you are tuning in to your focused sound, and they feel more like a finished product as opposed to a "trial" or work in progress sort of song. Has the feel of good classic rock. Could be nice on a record! Jazzy, bluesy, and fun! Fave!
Thank you! Actually Zank recorded (in fact programmed) guitars to my backing track I sent to him earlier. I didn't expect this one sounding like this. Basically it's a compilation of 2 takes on his guitars (second part was first). I played electric piano bass and main electric piano (kontakt plugins). Drums are from EZdrummer (single snare electronic loop added).
thank you for good words! I really appreciate that. I played bassline on Rhodes piano (Kontakt plugin) using a very simple midi keyboard. I tried to stick as possible with the guitar - that may be a reason for the overall coherent mix sound.
happy you liked. A.
Hi Alex,
The guitar is veeeeery good! Credits to MrZank for playing it and to you for bringing it to "life". Very good!
I like a lot the way you build keys counterparts to keep the track "bouncing" around, never boring. Excellent!
Genius touch: the idea of a short pause after the first part ... simply beautiful!
A song I really liked.
Ciao, Domenico
thanks again for nice comments Zank. As I said your guitars are great. I manipulated the effects a lot so it might be quite different from the original.

Description : This is my newest creation, at a stage very near to completion. No third-party mastering or mixing, as with all my tracks. Just have to fix a few tiny things. I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO MIX EVERYTHING IN THE SAME SESSION. This song has all human-played instruments - no quantization or MIDI! My brother does all the vocals except for the interlude part, which I do. My other brother plays the rhythm guitar (a Gibson Les Paul Custom - only one of 12 in the world!!) and I play the accompanying guitar (a Johnny Mar Jag and PRS). He has a lot of guitars :P A good friend of ours, Ronnie, plays the bass and another friend, Freddie, plays the drums. The drum track was done in one take (had to use an electric drum set due to time constraints - but acoustic kits are so much better). Overall, pretty satisfied with the result. Let me know your thoughts.
Description : Feel free to check out the lyrics video on YT as well :) This is a new track based on the great vocals by Ashes and Dreams! Again, a mix of electronic/progressive/rock, any feedback is welcome
Description : The first track I sing on. Cheap stage mic & no fancy plugins. Heavily guitar laden to the point it's got a bit of a shoegaze thing going on. I pulled the lyrics out of my ass & yes, they're a bit silly.
Description : This song was not supposed to be the fourth track of "Diverse waves", but it finally is. Anyway it's a rock oriented track with some interesting sounds. I hope you like it. Worked in zenbeats DAW, by Roland.
Description : BIG UPDATE 26/02/2014 - So, this was an 18 min track that I have now successfully split in two. 2nd half I uploaded a few weeks ago (Things That Should Always Be, with the bouncy 2 min reggae intro). This is the first half, which has a new mix, a mega chill, meditative ending and a little jazz thrown in for good measure. Takes a few minutes for beat to really kick in. Constantly evolving electric guitar, bass guitar, acoustic drums and lead banjo driven by fat, busy 80BPM grooves with a bit of a reggae and shuffle feel. Also: synth choir voices, dulcimer, violin, cello, shimmering pads. Builds up gradually to nice and rocking and then gets taken back down for the big comedown chill. I really don't know what sort of genre this is except 'far out'. I think it sounds more like a live band than one guy playing instruments and manipulating a DAW. Not my best track but a bit of blissful, sunny island fun. Real positive vibe here so I hope you give it a chance to unfold and unfurl. Sit back, clear your schedule and immerse yourself in these trippy sonic experiments cooked up deep in my off-planet underground laboratory. I have to send the MP3 to Earth via space courier (not cheap).
Description : This track was like the inhale after an exhale of aggressive industrial-electro-sludge tracks that I had put out that summer and fall. This was the more reserved, and introspective winter track. It's nothing spectacular, but I still really enjoy it. I hope you do too. Take care. V.
Description : when i was a kid you could go down and buy acid drops at the dairy - sour boiled sweets....vox, guitars and keys by me. Bass a LM loop by megapaul.
