Description : Just a little percussion loop for house music made with the Yamaha V50 and a bitcrusher.

Description : This percussion loop uses the WA DJFX vst plugin effect to make a nice little sweep at the end. The percussion itself was made using scrunched up paper sounds sequenced in Koala Sampler. The loop was the processed in Ableton on the PC.

Description : A nice percussion loop made with drum racks in Ableton. The main thing I wanted to try out was the WA DJFX vst plugin effect - I have used it verry subtly on this loop at the end but it can go pretty wild.

Description : More hard techno kicks because I know people love them! These were made entirely 'in the box' with just Ableton Drum Racks and Ableton FX (mostly reverb, saturation, sidechaied compression and autofilter). You don't always need all the expensive stuff to make good sounds (not that Live is cheap haha).

Description : These kick loops are created using a method I learned from Aussie legend Mickey Nox. Basically you just sidechain a sound to a nice kick to create a rumble from almost anything. For these three loops I sidechained and filtered full hardtechno loops (some of my own earlier loops) and the results were pretty massive.

Description : This was literally a glitch in the machines. Something went awry with my FX600 pedal and these chirpy noises came out... and sounded pretty cool. So I looped them of course!

Description : This texture was made with a new plugin called Manifold which cuts and loops sounds into textures. This was a lo-fi loop I recorded with a sitar and a beat - Manifold has transformed it into a cityscape texture. Nice for background layers in techno or even filtered into a rumble.

Description : A lead for EDM made with Vital. In the style of Poker Face but obviously not the same riff. I used Ableton's stock saturation to boost the sound. Nothing fancy but a nice lead synth nonetheless.
