Description : This was made using granular synthesis and some vox samples. Running through a filter bank and cycling the grains I created a spacy texture that can be used on its own as a noisebed, or you can sidechain it to your kick to get a nice rumble FX.

Description : I used three new free plugins to make this loop - Paralogy emulates old organs and keys and I ran it though LovPass which is a very creative filer plugin. The sequence was made using BlueArp, which is another freebie this week.

Description : This fun little bassline is my voice! Well, kind of - I tried out the new NeuralNote vst midi converter. It's a bit fiddly but you can get some great results just by humming in a tune and messing with the results. I used Charlatan 3 as the instrument to play the midi file I created.

Description : Some overused pop music chords as a trance riff from my Juno-D. The same four chords that everyone uses but employing a detuned sawtooth synth and a trance gate. I just wanted to hear what it would sound like haha.

Description : A lardy break from me, made to sound like it was sampled from an old record. This loop was made using my SP-606 sampler, which has excellent vinyl simulation and nice compression on the master for overweight beats.

Description : This lead synth was made by request for a user here. It's similar to, (but not a copy of!!!), Gab3 X F1lthy DM. It was made using the VST synth, Vital, with the preset "Big Bad Drag Storyteller" which is available on Presetshare.com... I further processed the sound using FM distortion, chorus and reverb.

Description : Something I have found really cool with the Edge is layering several loops on top of each other. This loop is actually three loops layered together in Ableton with a smidge of Magic Dice reverb. Just add a four-to -the-floor for instant groove.

Description : Turns out the Juno-D can do a pretty good drum beat as well. I have sampled the sounds from the Juno and sequenced them in Ableton. Vinyl crackle is sampled from a record.

Description : I was messing around recording percussion from my Juno-D and I came across this over-the-top police siren FX. Could be useful for foley in film or for use in a track if you want a background FX effect. Add your own fades.

Description : Sound design with the mixer FX in Koala sampler can get pretty detailed. This techno FX loop is made using nothing but Koala sampler. The inly thing changed on the PC is the sample rate to work on Looperman.

Description : This is why it is so good having a sampler in your pocket. A train was going past, so I whipped out the sampler and it blasted its horn just at the right time! Added UA plate reverb back in the studio to give it a longer tail.

Description : Just a basic trance arp in E minor. not much processing except for a touch of reverb. Using the trance pad sound in the Juno, but with the decay and release turned right down. Filter is just the Juno filter. Notes are E-F#-B-E.
