Description : A 909 Kick made with my RD-9 and processed in Simpler (Ableton) using the pitch envelope to make it hit harder. It was already redlining through the mixer into the PC so this is pushing the kick into distorting. Sounds hard though!

Description : This is my RD-9 sampled into my SP-606 with the master compressor turned up to eleven. Fat in your face kick for techno. The compressor in the 606 is the best compressor in the Roland SP range imo.

Description : This bassline was recorded from my JX-08 though a detuner on a guitar pedal. It's fat and bassy and sits really well with a four to the floor kick. Techno bass FTW.

Description : This gnarly lead was made in Vital using a sound from presetshare called "Dark Knight". I have saturated the sound so that it is a bit more level as the original present was very dynamic.

Description : This one is back to the acid, but not as a lead. This will work well as a pad layer in a trance or techno track. Sit it back in the mix a bit and it will add depth without being overpowering. Or turn it up and distort it even more if you like!

Description : The 303 and the DS1 Distortion combine for this simple square bassline. I have not gone too wild with the squelch here as it is designed to be a bassline and not a screaming acid lead in this instance.

Description : Something different than my usual. A lofi sound made with my 505 and 606 together. Sounds like it was sampled from a very old record, but it's all synthesis!

Description : This gated pad is made up of chords in E and E minor, so it has an unsettling key shift within the loop. Nice for a breakdown in an EDM track. Needs to be filter sweeped in the mix I reckon.

Description : Another one of my FX loops. This one is more spaced out so it will be easier for you to chop into separate sounds. Load the sounds into a drum rack and go nuts with the new FX and add stacks of reverb and delay and you'll be in psychedelic heaven!

Description : Two things about this loop - it is played live so the timing is rather human (don't worry it works well with a beat!) and it is in the key of D Major but the main note is an F#. Anyway its another hard trance riff from me. Looperman is mostly hip hop and trap loops but I'm here to bring the trance and techno!
