Description : This may be a first for Looperman and one or two of you may even like it (but I doubt too many more will.) This is a New Orleans or Dixieland style jazz track and I don't believe I've ever heard this style here. Dixieland is one of the oldest styles of jazz in America (although they didn't call it this back then) and it's still quite popular in New Orleans. I had the pleasure of playing this style at Seville Quarter, Pensacola, FL., back in my younger years. I did this track for my 93 year old Uncle John, who loves Dixieland. Hope you like it.

Description : This song highlights a few different styles of jazz. First it starts with a kinda early 20s and 30s groove. Than it melds into a New Orleans style. Than into a sort of Maynard Ferguson big band jazz/rock groove, and finishing off with the 20s and 30s style again, all held together with some cool horns and bass. All n all, it's...Pretty Cool! Description : I wrote this with wanting to capture two completely different genres in one song, and somehow infuse the two at the end. It just happened to work that jazz and hip hop were the two that came to be, and given New York's rich history in both, I based this song on what it might be like if 1930's 52nd Street met the 1970's Bronx and they decided to collaborate. Keep in mind, I threw in some of my own flavor, but I think this may be what it might have sounded like. Now if I could only make a time machine to see if I was right... Description : 3 yrs ago, My wife and I moved from Palm Springs, Calif. to Guadalajara Mexico. I love Mexican music. I decided to experiment with a new genre I call "Nu Latino". It is Latin Jazz with modern influences. Uploaded is my first effort, "Sonido Nu Latino" (Nu Latin Sound). Ben Edwards on trumpet (elite studio musician played with Amy Winehouse), and a rare guitar solo by myself, Cosmo, on electric and Spanish guitar. Mexican married couple Jonathan and Fani vocals. Description : It was the flooding from Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and Mississippi, that motivated me to make this song. It was a huge loss in life, August 29, 2005. The heart of jazz and blues suffered a terrible situation with almost 1500 deaths.The song is as old as the incidence. Consider it a true reaction to something sad, so distant yet so close.

Description : Here's a collab I made with cool guy who goes by Bell Rosen. He's an interesting guy with an amazing way of instrumentation that I'm not used to. His structure with the acoustic guitar with my structure of general instrumentation made this interesting combination. I will surely try to bring him in this site ASAP to demonstrate his unique styles. Oddly, he is in the same state as me, yet in a completely different time zone. This track was incredible to make. I'm not sure what the genre would be, so considering it has different possibilities, I'll list it as fusion, which would consist of what some fellow loopers call Celtic, Jazz, and New Age. What do you guys think?The new jazz tunes tracks and mixes listed here are copyright and may not be used in your projects. Saying that though many members are happy to work with other artists or allow others to remix their tracks.
