Description : 3 yrs ago, My wife and I moved from Palm Springs, Calif. to Guadalajara Mexico. I love Mexican music. I decided to experiment with a new genre I call "Nu Latino". It is Latin Jazz with modern influences. Uploaded is my first effort, "Sonido Nu Latino" (Nu Latin Sound). Ben Edwards on trumpet (elite studio musician played with Amy Winehouse), and a rare guitar solo by myself, Cosmo, on electric and Spanish guitar. Mexican married couple Jonathan and Fani vocals. Let me know if you like it.

great vibe you created here, the trumpet is stellar, great vocals , the percs shaker, the boing boing bass, its a party atmosphere and i love the guitars too, spanish guitar being one of my favs the sound is luxurious to my ears beautiful instrument, great mix and production Cosmo, thoroughly enjoyable listen

Thanks dimestop. One of the challenges was writing lyrics in Spanish when I am just learning the language. I bought a Spanish guitar after moving to Guadalajara. My first time playing that too. Lots of firsts here. Thanks again.

Digging this. I love Latin music but as you say, this is New Latin music. I like the almost sparse arrangement in places, there's almost a dub or ambient influence somehow in there, as well as the jazz, and world elements. Love marimbas too. Great work, thanks for sharing. Zoot.

Pnnywze. I have a lot more respect for ABBA. All those hit songs in English when Swedish was their language. I struggled to write lyrics in Spanish without having a command of the language. Thank you for your kind comments. Cosmo
