Description : This song highlights a few different styles of jazz. First it starts with a kinda early 20s and 30s groove. Than it melds into a New Orleans style. Than into a sort of Maynard Ferguson big band jazz/rock groove, and finishing off with the 20s and 30s style again, all held together with some cool horns and bass. All n all, it's...Pretty Cool! Hope you like

Feel cool just listening to it. Very good sounding sax. Excellent transitions as it progresses. Guitar is prominent in the mix and sits effortlessly. Top production, peace
Thanks allot, Gramo. To be honest, I didn't think too many people would like this one, but so far, it's the most downloaded and commented on. Guess you can never tell what people will like.
Wow...Thanks, I think! I guess that's a compliment. Glad you like the into and outro. Check out Django's Revenge on my list of tracks. It has that same sort of old sound to it.
That's wonderful, Steve. I'm honored that I had a small part in helping you discover another style of music.
Jazz has many styles, as does rock, so if you like rock, you can listen to more jazz-rock styles like Blood, Sweat & Tears and Chicago, or fusion like Return to Forever, Chick Corea, and Stanly Clarke. Good luck!
I absolutely love this track. I got into Louis Prima years ago and we played lots of standards in my band, Vince Guaraldi to Dave Brubeck and more so I can completely get into all these styles of jazz, blues, swing and dixieland. You did a great job mixing them all together and making it all make sense. You are quite talented Scott, great one here!
Thanks allot, Wayne. You're kind words really made my morning!
Yeah, I was exposed to allot of jazz and big band in my youth and played it whenever I could, even when my friends were playing rock. Than I was exposed to classical. My friends would come over with the latest Led Zeppelin or Who album and I would be listening to Mussorgsky or Art Blakey. I often hear someone hear say, "I don't like jazz, but I like your track." They don't think they like jazz because they don't listen to it! But I digress.
What completely mental track!!!!!! So wonderfully put together and it all flows really well. Great guitar work and the arrangement is excellent. Love it!
Modern production is tying together a history lesson for my ears. This is what fusion jazz is all about! Bass funk riff is pretty epic. It's like the evolution of man poster where the left side is a chimp and the right side is the modern human. Your chimp side is pretty wise already though. I swear this is all meant as a compliment. The track is very good. cool mixing. Pure swank.

Awesome Jazz Track,
hell i love this Wah Guitar Sequence´s,never listen to Jazzmusic (not my style, i thought)till i listen to your Track.Great Inspiration Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,DRO
Thanks allot, Destero. Glad I can broaden your horizons a bit. I love the early funk styles, so allot of my jazz tracks will have these element combinations. If you like this track, check out some of my others. Many have the same feel.
Heck yeah! That beginning 50 sec had me listening like a deer caught in the headlights beam. Cool how the track evolves into the next stage. Great drums especially at that break at 2:34. The guitar after that talking some nice expressions. The brasses used worked well in this track. Here at 3:35 bringing back that great sound was a very nice thought. Very nice overall, my favorite parts about this one is the 1st 50 sec and at 3:35 til finished. That is the reason I keep listening. Thanks for sharing Scott, I like this style of jazz mix from you most. Be cool! Peace.
You have the gift for your concepts, are a great musical truth ....
Again I am impressed by your achievement.
There is only you know how to do that.
In short, it's great and very authentic ....
Gotta love that guitar sound in the beginning, the track itself is pretty cool though I am not really a jazz fan I still liked what I heard here. Offers a interesting combination of sounds.
I'm glad you can appreciate music outside your preferred genre. I have found that jazz will challenge me more than other styles, which is why it's one of my favorite styles.
Be Cool, is so cool....the mesh of different styles gel together so well. It shows the producer thoughtout the process before in this cleverly crafted Jazz offering to our Looper Family, I myself found it refreshing, and it's uniqueness very appealing!

-"KAY" upright bass (MADE IN GERMANY somwhere in 1950th)

I just put together some old ideas to see if it will work. Some vocals and brass, or guitars is clearly needed. Let me know what you think about it. Tnx
Description : Do not freak out just because this is jazz! There's also blues, rock, funk and a little hip hop in it to break up the deep, chillout jazz sections - gets particularly rocking then funky at the end. Main bassline (the track's foundation) is recycled leftover slide resonator guitar parts detuned one octave to make a slide bass sound. Also features: piano, violin, hammered dulcimer, organ, ethereal pad guitar, bass guitar, jazz/blues/rock electric guitar and multiple programmed acoustic drumkits. This was difficult to make at times as I thought I needed more leads parts eg from sax or trumpet. But I'm happyish with the end result. I expect very little interest in this as it's both jazz and long jazz. But it's also an unusual type of genre-mixing jazz. So, leave your thoughts, good or bad, if you like...
Description : This is track me and my friend (great jazz, blues musician) done
around this great vocal we acquired.
Lot of hours in it.
I had great fun making it!
Hope you people like it.
Love and peace.
Description : I think it's a late evening song to accompany you for a single drink.
Jazzy in most of the aspects. It is made single handedly so please consider it an experimentation for the thrill of making music.
Hope you will like it.
Description : This track made me just stop working on it and listen to it for enjoyment.
Smooth Mellow funky Jazz. Uses: 0111003-djrumplestiltskin-swung-funk-drum-beat, 0087009-mrroads442-guitar-line, 0072485-michiel555-mellow-funk, 0058934-ferryterry-90-bpm-soprano-sax. Is this Funk or Jazz?
Description : This track contains only free loops from Stayonbeat.com and several loops from Looperman artists (listed below). I "made a promise" that my next track will be use a lot of jazzy loops - well, i done with this track, for the great sadness of jazz lovers or experts i think - i fear they will never forgive me. :) While my ISP launches my internet out of the Earth system for a long time, i had to face the fact that i dont have too much downloaded jazz loops on my computer, so i think no wonder that this one is sounds like if i smoke some marihuana while making it. But hey, who cares, i like the result - it reminds me the (maybe only) really funny episode of "Breaking Bad", where Pinkman uses some heroin and flyes up with an idiotic smile on his face - that chapter is priceless. :D
I dont think this one needs a vocal, but ofcourse you can use it if you want, and as always, just write and i will give any support as i can. Any feedback welcomed too as always. Enjoy! UPDATE 2015.10.24.: improved audio quality - lower lows, higher highs. Now in 256kbps!

Description : Something a bit different from us. I (Bobo) played guitar, synth, midi bass and percs to this piano loop by LM's most excellent Rasputin. Wataya, stoned as usual, thought he heard Barbara Streisand singing. This is the result.
Description : I created a hip hop groove in Logic and decided to duel some Saxophones. I am playing the Baritone sax on the left pan and the Tenor Sax on the right pan.
I added some bells like a boxing match bell to give it a fight drama feel. The hip hop track itself is dope to me. The duel is cool too. Who won?
Well done.

My fav part is 2:35 to 3:11. After the cool heavy drum beat, it sounds like it goes into a 70's TV cop drama theme. Excellent.
If you're into 70s TV drama styles, check out 'Spies Like Us' on my page. It was created just for that genre.
