Description : Music composed by Alex Richard and Laurent Wirz. With: Hanspeter Dubach Lead and rhythm guitars, Alex Richard Bass and rhythm guitars, Claude Barbotte Hammond organ, Joël Perrin Saxophone and me at the drums. The two grooves I used for this one are to find under Loops and Sample, member laurentwirz, reggae. Also an excellent loop from member ebae. I have to say that I asked Michael Mayo before publishing it but I received no answer yet. It was pretty difficult with his acapella because it's a pretty short loop with not a lot of words (for an almost 5 minutes track)! You can ear also some background vocals from Patricia Edwards and I hope it's okay for her.

Description : This is a beat I made that I will be using for my first solo after a long hiatus from the mic. The concept of the beat is of course a romance ballad R&B-Hip-Hop track. Simple Drum, Bass, Snare, Snap, HH, Cymbal, and Sould Guitar used in the beat. Along with some synth, lead and pluck. Feedback, critique and opinions are always welcome and encouraged. Description : I recorded this song several weeks ago, live in studio. It was a very spontaneous reaction to some experiences and interactions only an hour or so before.I recorded the audio tracks, as well as a video on my old digital camera. The video has been up on youtube for a while:

This was recorded with my 100 Proof microphone, Eat Lead Copper modular synth, Breaking Blue tabletop synth, modified Yamaha DD-20, and Zoom RT-123.
In the last couple of days, I finally got around to mixing the audio I had recorded into a better quality rendition. The stems were used as is, simple being mixed a bit and mastered.

Description : Chillout and uptempo cello-based track. A mixture of 160BPM ambient drum 'n' bass (drum 'n' cell) and 80 BPM deep groove sections. The main lead instrument is electric cello, supported by a load of far out synths. VSTs include: a lyre, a glissando harp, a plucked harp, a choir synth, two synth basses and a few synth pads. Drums are a merger of drum loops and programmed acoustic kits. Quite a few cello techniques used: bowing, pizzicato, spiccato and harmonics (both plucked and bowed). This took many hours to make, over a couple of months, hence the title. It's not a great track but it has a positive, uplifting, summery vibe so should be fairly enjoyable. Or at least some inoffensive background music. Have a listen and let me know what you think. Interesting and/or intelligent feedback is always appreciated...

Description : A little song about activism at it's most basic, with a pinch of active imagination. I worked my Eat Lead Copper modular synth into this one, as well as the modified Monotribe. Played a bass part on the old '91 Epiphone Precision bass. Also just did some parts replacement on the '90 Epiphone Les Paul Studio, and decided to test it out on this song... with amp and effects via a POD v2.0. Thank you for listening!

Description : 170 BPM drum 'n' cell epic. That's drum 'n' bass with lots of my layered, lead cello playing. It's both banging and chilled out, with intricate basslines and soaring, melodic cello parts. Instruments: electric cello, piano, three synth basses, two synth pads. Drums are loads of drum loops supported by a few programmed acoustic drum kits. It's fast and powerful stuff but there are also two deep grooving half tempo sections. No guitar so anything that sounds like it might be is, unsurprisingly, cello. This was fairly hard to make and required a lot of hard work. It's still far from perfect, especially the rather abrupt, unimaginative ending (I couldn't think of anything better). Have a good listen and then consider leaving me some fascinating feedback. Not much drum 'n' cell about so I like to think this is worth checking out...

Description : Yeah, not my title. This took about 3 months of intermittent work because school saps away at your free time like nothing else. This is my first published use of Serum and Massive (Massive being used for the screechy bits, Serum for the wob-wobs and lead noises). Also quite a bit of difference in terms of mixing, mastering and dynamics - I've been messing around with a little saturation (Softtube's Saturation Knob, if you are interested) to try and go for that 'loudness'. But I must admit, if the loudness war never happened my life would be so much easier. Download is available through my soundcloud, which is on my profile. Description : Psychedelic Eastern cellhop progressing into a heavy and not at all hip hop ending. Lots of cool basslines and killer beats, all at 80 BPM. Cello is the main instrument and it also covers all the bass parts (no other bass instruments used). I didn't have to add any octave lowering effects to those cello basslines. A few synths, including a dark, trippy pad that gets very psychedelic and swirling when delay and distortion are added. Also a lyre to occasionally add an Eastern drone sound and an 8bit lead sine synth in one section. Drums are mixture of programmed acoustic kits and drum loops. You can really bounce to this shit while firing your guns in the air. So, do that and then come back and let me know if you enjoyed it. Criticism, praise, suggestions etc all welcome. Now get ready to bounce...
