Description : Just a slow classic rock tune I put together awhile ago. Now that the site is back up, I am uploading it today. It basically features two different lead guitars styles.
Starts out with a synth lead that goes throughout the tune. Done with my Korg M3
1st. lead is simular to a 'Robin Trower' type of lead. 2nd lead of more of a conventional style rock lead. (My interpretation anyway).
Description : I am playing a simple bass line in B min accompanied by Rhodes keys. I then play a sad trumpet1 lead feeding off another trumpet2 lead. Trumpet2 lead then hands it off to my baritone sax. The sax hands it back to trumpet1 lead and out they go.
Description : How to best describe this one? A chilled out beatnick alternative rock with a sort of Jazz and folk thang going on? Used a drum loop, a shaker loop, two bass loops, laid some guitar tracks on it. One Guitar duplicates the upright bass loop, another one strumming the chords and another that's picking at some notes in the chord higher up. Laid down a main vocal track, added a faint darker back up vocal track. Also have a spoken track panned to the left. Actually this is one of those stereo recordings that is made for headphones..... The lead vocal floats around some between the center and slighty left at times. The lead is actually my Acoustic, which I added guitar effects to in Music Maker. Sound like it's an electric. I used my cheap ASS labtec Walmart special PC mic to record the acoustic and sing through.. I tried to make this mix a little hotter and more sperated compared to my last ones. Hopefully the vocals don't stand out in front so much but rather blend with everything else. Oh yeah, I'm using a couple of FX loops.. one is the old record player sound in the start of the song, used another one where the lead guitar starts off. The lead is basically almost the same riff as the bass line. Let me know how the mix is on this one, if it's any better compared to my last few?
Description : The story behind. Back in 1992 I made a tune on the c64 platform. A simple tune with only 3 channels. The lead on this tune is something that I've never forgot and even today i can start whistling on this lead. When I was playing around with the keyboard this lead just was there. Usually I try to never reuse any of my previous work. But this is an exception and i decided to use a short beat from this tune in this work. This old tune is glued together with a new beat.
Description : Hello all,
Well, it has been awhile since I have uploaded anything. But, that was due my work schedule mostly.
What we have here is a 3 part Blues song. Why 3 parts?
Well, at my age, I have to capture all I can and put it down before it gets away. :-)
Anyways, the 1st. part is an Acoustic guitar background with a nice ring to it, and a Telecaster lead slightly distorted.
Some Dobro (Resonator guitar)sounds are sprinkled here and there in songs 1 & 2.
2nd. part is a Strat. playing finger picking style with some cool harmonics.....and then regular lead.
3rd. part. A friend helped me wih the lead on this one as my fingers don't quite go that fast these days. :)
There are 2 sections where there is just ,Bass, Drums, and Rhythm Guitar playing so you could download it and jam along if you want to. All is in the key of "A".
Drums are loops. I am playing most of the rest.
(I am awaiting a new pickup for my Dobro guitar so I can add more into my future songs)
As for my next venture...probably a 12 string guitar song.
Hope you like the songs!
Randy
Description : My neighbor let me borrow his G&L S 500 strat with pearl pick guard and beautiful bird's eye maple neck, headstock and fretboard. It has active pickups, compare the left and right rhythm tracks. It has a brilliant blueberry burst finish. The lead is with my new Les Paul Jr. Piano and accordion in the lead for effect. The song is about being a moonshiner.
Description : accountable- an Siren Call Power Metal Cover By Rancid Coffin

Description : With this track, I started with the vocals and built the music around them, initially staying true to the structure. It's only later I've come back and moved things around a little.

Not sure where The Lead came from I can't figure out where I found it among the pile of sound packs I have. And I don't have the patience to sit here and find it. However the Lead is called "counting stacks." I'm just not sure what pack it came from.
Description : I asked Ed (Tumbleweed) to sit in on this blues number with some lead guitar work and as always, he did not disappoint.
This is a fun, laid back blues boogie woogie song.
Description : I know it's more fusion than metal, but still put there... :) Some lame guitar notes by me, everything else is loops from the site only. Enjoy or hate it! :)
Description : This track contains only free loops from several Looperman artists. Enjoy! There is a drumless version too, with completely different atmosphere : https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/181322
I wonder, which one do you like better?

Description : I had a dream a few years ago that my Mom was still alive and she met my wife for the first time. This song is about that dream.
This should be classed as Country Rock or Southern Rock but those genres aren't available.
Using a fender Strat on the left, Gibson Les Paul on the right…intro lead is the LP and outro lead is the Strat. Drums written in MIDI. Harmonica, vocals, bass performed by yours truly.
Feedback is always welcome.
Description : Been A while since I put something new up. Been working on this when I can find the time. This is my busy season as a UPS driver so finding time is tough. Lot's of OT. This might be the first song I have posted without a lead guitar. :) I just have not had the time to give it a proper lead. Opinions, comments and reviews welcomed. The last 1 minute or so definitely needs work as I didn't get to fine tune the sound and clean it up.
Thanks for listening.
Description : Probably the greatest banj-metal-hiphop-jazz joint ever. With lead saxophone, house bass, rock and metal guitars, Eastern banjo, jazz and hip hop drums and a tasty dose of drum and bass thrown squarely in your face. You can headbang or throw some body-poppin hippity-hoppity shapes to this mofo, for real. A lot of genres covered in 7 minutes so hopefully the time will fly by. And, yes, there really is acoustic banjo as a lead instrument on top of some crunching and crashing metal guitar and drums. Long live Banj Metal!
Description : Felt like sharing this Heavier tune of mine. Lost the master in a Computer Crash.
Edit:Remixed the level on the lead guitar.
Another work in progress...heavier rock. First draft with one pass on Lead guitar so far. Needs work in some spots. Reviews welcomed.
Drums: Drum Machine
Guitars and Bass:myself
Description : This is the new version of Monolith (We See The Dawn) and vastly improved! If it sounds like Ultravox (Midge Ure, Warren Cann, Billie Currie, Chris Cross lineup) then hopefully I've done my job as that was exactly my intention. There's no hiding this was the group that I loved in the 80's (inc John Foxx's line up). I can almost imaging Billy Currie playing the piano and lead synth!
It's going to be entered on the Ultravox website as they do a competition each year for a 'soundalike' Ultravox track.
For those wanting to know the VSTs used the lead synth and portamento comes from 'Scanned Synth', pianos from True Piano's, Drums Cakewalk's Session Drummer, percussive noise from Ugo's Ironhead and MCH's Industrial Tones (my new VST) and Absynth as usual.
Description : The only part of this track NOT MINE is the lead run ....Everything else is by me. The arps, the arrangement, the effects, the bassline, the chord prog etc....Jonas Neverbag did the original mainly with the lead run all the way thru....I had to do a lot of work around it to create this track..Interested to know what u guys think of it..Check the original to compare at:: http://www.youtube.com/watch?hl=en&v=4vOw6zMf9Og&gl=US
Description : UPDATED LEAD wasn't really sure of the lead! Now its fixed! Couple of timing issues sorted too!
HOWEVER: Not happy with the bass as yet OR the arrangement fully! Will update when I am 100% happy..Until then this version is ALMOST the finished article....
I am proud of this one as I put my heart into it..well I do with all my tunes but for some reason especially with this one. Its not mixed or mastered yet, and I think i will have to fiddle with a couple of little bits till its perfect
I hope you enjoy this one, and all extra reviews are appreciated!
Description : Time for a Funk tune as I have never tried this genre before. This is a 3 part song. The first part....after the solo lead, is a Bluesy Slide guitar type with wah-wah pedal on silde, and heavy drums.....
2nd part is a funky rhythm I made on my Korg......
3rd. part is another funky tune I made with the fastest lead guitar parts made using sample loops.
Description : A rock tune that has the lead held back except near the end...so you musicians out there can add vocals or lead to it. Starts out with a synth and then builds.
Description : Hip-hop with a "southern Spain" instrumental. A Spanish guitar in a flamenco style creates the melody, emphasizing the strumming of the strings with sharp and low sounds that fuse with an 808 that has a 'flamenco touch.' The percussion continues in the flamenco style, with the 'palmas' (hand claps) taking the lead and a strong snare sound that is reminiscent of a flamenco 'cajon' but with a dryer feel. On the mic, the great Frank Yola completes the track with his flow and his deep voice
