Description : New concept Hip hop fusion track about friendship. Fuses genres new and old hip hop and other dance styles. Sounds like sci fi game level music with an epic build. Description : R&B track inspired by Brody Brown's work on Bruno Mars' new album. Brown would be entirely unimpressed by this track, of course. He's a really fine musician. I've left the electric piano lines that are meant for vocal parts in the track. If ever I found a lyricist and and singer that could do something with this track, I'd produce a backing track version without those parts. Lots of room for a good singer to build on the melody ideas and make it their own.

Description : Here is a new Spivkurl track for all of you to check out! My thought process interprets this as industrial gothic, but it's open to external interpretation. This song's sounds were almost entirely sampled from equipment which I hand soldered, whether it be synthesizer builds or circuit bending. The lead vocals were recorded with the new microphone which I built in the past few days, and I'm happy with the way it interacts with my voice. In fact the only piece of gear used that I didn't build was the microphone for the hook vocals... and they are meant to be unintelligible, as they were recorded spontaneously with a patch I called a Spivocoder (on my modular synth). Uptempo and aggressive, it's definitely my sort of industrial. Please give me your opinions if you have the time! Thanks!

Description : It's been a while since I posted anything original, and the reason is I've been spending tons of time between this song and my guitar build. Both were started and finished virtually simultaneously. This song is hard to describe... those who know Spivkurl will recognize my style in this, but I have tried to take things bit further composition wise in this one. It's a bit pop for me, but oh well. All basses originated on my modular synth. Vocals are all me. Please let me know what you think! Thanks!

Description : ‘Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame’ is about resilience and hope. The track is based on (parts of) a saxophone-solo played by Sandro Marinoni in 2009 for the album Borderline (Stefano Carolo added electronic effects). Starting in january of 2014, I build a track around Marinoni’s solo. ‘Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame’ refers to the poetry-album by Charles Bukowski. The title was suggested by Dutch journalist Peter Pijls whose voice you can hear floating in and out the track. This music was inspired by an interview I did with Pijls (1965), a man who lost everything dear to him because of alcoholism and psychiatric disorders: wife, son and job. Smoking cost him both legs. He is on his way back now (check him out on FB and Twitter). Final mix was done during the dog days of july 2014 (MH17).
