Description : The drums were downloaded here from looperman.com and the guitar, mixing, and editing done by me. The song is still in its early stages but I would like to get some opinions......thanx!

Love it! 3:D Yeah, if you got a better DAW that would really be awesome! I use Reaper, the sound quality is f'ng amazing! Look up some info on mastering, regarding frequency cutting to to clean up the mix. I double my gtr tracks and pan them right and left, double my drum tracks and pan slightly, bass center. I like the way that widens the mix and makes the drums so much more powerful. Keep these great metal tracks coming!! We definitely need more around here :D I have a few to get up.
Dude, I apologize that it has been one month since u commented on this track and I havent yet replied till now. They should have like a little red flag or something when new comments are recieved lol. Im gunna check out Reaper cuz ya, the program I use is poopy.Everytime I fuck with the sound or add an effect, it seems like it messes with it a bit.
I'm going to try Eds' advice and mess with sony acid and see if I get better results. The crappyness/decrease in quality happens when I mess with the tempo and pitch, pretty cheesebally. But ya duderino im slowly but surely inching closer to investing in a more professional and organized set up and hopefully from there things will be more badasser :) Thank you for commenting,
The town I live in has a lot of rock fans EA...I think you could keep pretty busy playing around here with them metal chops..I hear the talent and that usually overcomes any of the little technical production things...I`ve been producing since tape days but got totally tired of all the steps you had to do for even the simplest things with most recording software....download the trial version of Sony Acid (I`ve used the pro version for about 10 yrs...but the studio version is actually all anyone would usually need)...I`m now totally biased...but its a piece of cake to use...all on one screen & you wont even need to look at the built-in tutorials or help files usually) good basic plug-ins etc......anyway...I know you`re doing it for the joy of playing & sharing....keep on doing it.....well done...Ed
Thanks man, ..."tape days"... yep, you been around :) I was still tryin to mow lawns for money to buy them old casettes lol. I appreciate your feedback and I'm looking into sony acid. Thanks again!
Really nice track - doesnt sound like u used drumloops, seems like u spent lots of time to let it sound "natural". Though i m missing the mids from the kicks at some parts a bit, where they get eaten by the guitar (guess lil equing will do the job)- but all in all great song - keep on goin M8, thx 4 sharin.
Thank you my friend. I think my equalization issues are possibly coming from the program I use for mixing and editing, but I am working on getting something a bit more pro. Thank you again!!
Cool, thank you. The only thing I did not physically do or create was the drumloop. It was downloaded and then from there I did some tweeking and looped it continuosly for about 2 and a half minutes. I appreciate your comment greatly and Ill c ya around looperman, peace.

Description : I asked Danke if I could add some vocals to his track Future Machine and he kindly agreed and sent me the track. The lyrics are about a soldiers experience in war as he and his trench mates are told to get up and out of their trench and attack the enemy across open fields. I can only imagine the fear, tension and chaos that goes through one's mind at that moment.
Description : I discovered Meshuggah around 2003 and was blown away by the power, complexity and super Heavy sound of their music. Their "Nothing" album marked the switch to 8 string guitars and pushed Heavy Metal into a whole new territory. My track is a variant cover of their song "Nebulous". I have stayed pretty close to the original but added a few dynamic elements of my own. Its loud, its super heavy and way out there...Beyond Nebulous.
Description : This unconventional metal track is dedicated to Valvedriver https://www.looperman.com/users/profile/841435 though it's not a parody of his fine music or me actively trying to sound like it. I struggled for months with the first few minutes of this track knowing that I must be able to take it somewhere deeper, more psychedelic and powerful. Then I loaded some sampled choir voice instruments, as used in my track Reckful https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/160356 and suddenly found myself happily in Valveland - not a place I visit often. Feeling amply Valvedriven and newly inspired, I added the last few minutes fairly easily and very quickly. So: it's a twisting, turning mixture of grunge, menacing ambient, mystical metal and ultra-heavy funk. Instruments: electric guitar+bass, synth basses, female choir voices, one synth pad, some other synths on the nastier side of things and a few programmed heavy acoustic drumkits playing a mixture of triplets and straighter grooves. Interesting thoughts appreciated. Favourite bits? Shit bits? Please listen on good headphones/speakers as there's a lot of heavy bass in this. Now get ready to rock: balls out, hands in the air and with rebellious joy in your heart. Just try not to headbang the hell out of your laptop. Go!
Description : Whats up guys?! Been a while I know. Iv'e moved around a lot but have finally settled down and have been hard at work with my metal band. Unfortunately I've had to put my solo work on hold for a bit while I'm recording with the band. We are being professionally recorded now, a very big step up from the last recording of my band that I posted here. Anyways, hope you guys enjoy! We are, Raze The Pyre.

Description : A grimy hard rock track fully produced digitally (even the drums!). The awesome main riff has been provided by prodreiter here on Looperman, and I made the drums in Addictive Drums 2, I will make them available as loops later.

My only real beef is with the effect on the drums. It makes the kit sound like it's under water. Doesn't compliment your six-string prowess.
