Description : Here is a Northeastern Brazilian rhythm called the Baion. (Portuguese= baião) Traditionally it is played on native Brazilian percussion instruments, but here it is rendered on the drumkit. 4 seamless bars. For extra fun and modernity, I have given the kick drum some sub-bass frequencies.

Description : Here is a 4-bar seamless drumkit groove, emulating the kind of very laidback groove you'd hear in 1970's slow funk ballads. Think "Baby Come Back" by Player, "Let's Get It On" by Marvin Gaye, or "Sara Smile" by Hall & Oates. Modern sub-bass frequencies have been added for extra power.

Description : Here is 2 seamless bars of a group drumming circle riff, doing a Sunu-type West African rhythm on Djembe drums (I'm using congas here instead). Do note that this groove is in 6/8 meter. I have plumped up the bass drums with sub-bass frequencies for added weight.

Description : Here it is: the quintessential drum groove that underpinned many a 1970's Disco hit. This groove emulated from the hit "TSOP" by MFSB (1974). Basic kit, the TSS-ing hi-hats, and a conga player in the background. Some sub-bass frequencies added to the kick, and a light reverb added to it all.

It is an intense rise in windy sound, lasting 8bars if you're in 125bpm, but can be easily tailored or stretched to slower or faster BPM's. It steadily increases in volume and intensity, but never pegs at 0.0db Contains sub-frequencies aplenty, so be forewarned.
