Description : This is why it is so good having a sampler in your pocket. A train was going past, so I whipped out the sampler and it blasted its horn just at the right time! Added UA plate reverb back in the studio to give it a longer tail.

Description : Take a 909 loop and mangle it in Koala sampler with all the robotic FX turned up to the max. Now it doesn't sound like a 909 anymore but it does sound like industrial noise! Using Koala Sampler to mangle existing loops is lots of fun and produces unexpected results.

Description : Sampled MC505 beat through the SP606 sampler with the vinylizer turned on then added tape saturation to make it sound real old and dusty. I turned everything up on this so it sounds very lo fi, like the sound of a 1980s sampler on a 1970s turntable! Recorded in Audacity. Tested in Reason.

Description : Using Kong today, mostly to work out how to get the damn pads on my Launchkey to play the pads on the on-screen sampler (which is automatic in Ableton Drum Racks...good one Reason). The secret was custom pad mapping through the Novation Components app. Finally Kong is like my SP-606 to use. I'm rambling ... enjoy the drum loop.

Description : This loop was fun to make. Lo-fi recording then chopped up into bits in the SP-606 sampler and layered with a 909 kick for extra punch. Could work well as a bridge in a hip-hop track.
