Description : These kick loops are created using a method I learned from Aussie legend Mickey Nox. Basically you just sidechain a sound to a nice kick to create a rumble from almost anything. For these three loops I sidechained and filtered full hardtechno loops (some of my own earlier loops) and the results were pretty massive.

Description : This was literally a glitch in the machines. Something went awry with my FX600 pedal and these chirpy noises came out... and sounded pretty cool. So I looped them of course!

Description : This texture was made with a new plugin called Manifold which cuts and loops sounds into textures. This was a lo-fi loop I recorded with a sitar and a beat - Manifold has transformed it into a cityscape texture. Nice for background layers in techno or even filtered into a rumble.

Description : A lead for EDM made with Vital. In the style of Poker Face but obviously not the same riff. I used Ableton's stock saturation to boost the sound. Nothing fancy but a nice lead synth nonetheless.

Description : Made with MonoFury, a Korg emulation from Full Bucket. Add chorus and flanger FX from Native Instruments. Key is A Major.

Description : This trance lead was made using Essence, a free VST made just for trance music. No other FX at all have been added. Essence (by Ronan Fed) is great if you need a synth for making tradition trance leads. And it is free, so even better!
