Tunes, Tracks, Beats & Mixes
Description : Another track in my recent series of Christian music. Done in the style of soft rock; it's a slow song and I gave it a much gentler touch than my normal tracks.
I used to play guitar and sing this song during worship portions of church services from time to time. As the Worship Leader, I tried to fit this one in about every six weeks or so because it is such a good, meaningful song to do. It always moved me to the core.
I am performing all except for drums which I wrote in MIDI.
Description : Genre could also be Rock. I took this old hymn and modernized it. The first step was taking the 3/4 format and changing it to 4/4, then I really got down to work on it. I was a worship leader at a church for years and was also on several worship teams; this was always a personal fave of mine to do. I hope you enjoy it.
Description : I asked Ed (Tumbleweed) to sit in on this blues number with some lead guitar work and as always, he did not disappoint.
This is a fun, laid back blues boogie woogie song.
Description : My latest in my recent series of cover songs. The line "don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy" was very impactive to me in my late teens. One of my all time favourite songs; the Eagles were talent stacked to say the least.
I am performing all except drums and the banjo (during the finale) which are done in MIDI.
Description : I've been singing this song around campfires with my acoustic guitar for years and finally sat down and recorded it. This classic has been performed by Sam Cooke (he wrote it), Jimmy Buffet and Cat Stevens; my version is most like Buffet's but after playing it for so long, I've kind of made it my own. The backing vocals during the chorus were inspired by the likes of Shanana and written by yours truly. I'm very happy with how this turned out.
Description : My wife asked me to cover this song, so this goes out to her.
Highly technical guitar work on this and I hope I did this classic justice.
This is off of Clapton's album "Slowhand". Slowhand....hmmm; whatever lol. Seemed pretty fast to me while I was playing it.

Description : My latest cover song.
There are few songs that really have this kind of an impact on your musicality. This is one of those for me.

Description : Back in the days of olde, dragons rampaged the lands. Only a small handful of men could ever muster up the courage to confront them.
I used an old medieval standard for the music.
Description : Anyone who has ever experienced the freedom of riding a motorbike on the open road, will understand where I am coming from in this song. It's fantastic. I tried to capture the mood of riding in the song and words.
This song has some of my best harmonica and guitar playing to date.
So hop on your bike and come along for a ride on the neon highway.
Description : Uptempo, sad love song.
I am performing all except drums...Apple Loops used.
I had the chorus melody and words bouncing around in my head for a couple of months and had to get it down.
Description : A mellow song about love. Using Apple drum loops and everything else is me.
Description : So much to think about these days. Being positive minded no matter what, is key.
Me performing on all instruments and vocals with the exception of MIDI drums. Southern Rock style.
Description : I have always wanted to try my hand at a light hearted comical song and this is my first...so please be gentle lol.
Playing my brand spanking new Paul Reed Smith single cut semi hollow electric guitar on this.
All instruments (acoustic and electric guitars, bass guitar, vocals and backing vocals) performed by me. Apple drum and percussion loops used.
Description : I have been working on this colossal monster since February of this year and I finally feel it is ready. Building it from the ground up was a task but I feel I have risen to the enormous challenge of one of Floyd's biggest songs.
It's all me - all 40 active tracks of it. Used machine sound loops from Apple, tympani and about 30 synth tracks. Me on vocals, acoustic guitars and bass.
Comments are always appreciated.
Description : Fresh out of the studio after 10 weeks of deliberating, planning, writing and performing.
This could be classed as Country Blues or Southern Rock...either way I think it may get your toes tapping. So grab your partner and jump on the dance floor with this one.
I am performing the following instruments...vocals, electric guitars, slide acoustic, bass, harmonica, organ. I wrote the following instrument parts in MIDI....drums, percussion, piano, horns. This was a beast to master but I think it turned out okay.
No loops used.
Description : I had a dream a few years ago that my Mom was still alive and she met my wife for the first time. This song is about that dream.
This should be classed as Country Rock or Southern Rock but those genres aren't available.
Using a fender Strat on the left, Gibson Les Paul on the right…intro lead is the LP and outro lead is the Strat. Drums written in MIDI. Harmonica, vocals, bass performed by yours truly.
Feedback is always welcome.
Description : A fun, upbeat Southern Country Rock style song. Me on all instruments except MIDI drums and Apple percussion loops. My vocals as well.
Description : This world needs more love. A straight forward slow dance song; a rock ballad if you will. Using Gibson Les Paul on the left, Fender Stratocaster on the right, Tak acoustic, Ibanez bass, Reggae and rock organs blended together, MIDI drums, MXL studio vocal mic.
Description : This song was originally written by Bear but never posted…he asked me if I could finish it so, I did. Bear is on rhythm guitars, drum loops, pads, wrote the original bass line (which I redid with my Ibanez bass), keys. I added vocals, lead guitar, bass and mastered. Always a pleasure working with Bear because his songs are just so darn good.
Description : Bear sent me another song he had been working on; I cannot say enough about his songwriting and musicianship. His tracks are always beautifully started and easy to master.
Bear - drum loops, piano, pads, rhythm guitar, horns
Me - vocals, backing vocals, lead guitar, harmonica, bass guitar, FX
Description : I have been working on writing a lot of Classic Rock tracks and I think I hit this one on the head. This could be straight out of the 70's. The words in this song are my advice regarding Love.
Description : This is a classically inspired piece I wrote in Logic Pro all using MIDI voicing's and no loops.
I have always loved Mozart's work and it inspired me.
I composed this in February of this year after I hit my left fingers with a table saw blade - healed now. There was a lot of emotion involved when I did this.
Description : My first serious jazz song. I wrote it for my wife so it's a love song.
The song started off with a haunting piano melody in my head; so I put it down into MIDI. Apple drum loops and the rest is me.
Description : I focussed on writing a pure rock song. My buddy Matt Atkinson sat in on this one laying rhythm guitar (Canadianguy).
Description : New Classic Rock Track…me on guitars, bass and vocals. Used Apple drum and percussion loops.
