Thank You Lord For My Dog And Me - MWRatridge
11th Nov 2019 12:05 - 6 years ago
Description : I recently lost my dog of 13 years, "Lucy". I wrote this song as a tribute to her and to all of our family members with 4 legs and waggy tails. Doing this song has helped my heart to heal immensely. I hope you enjoy it.
I am performing all except for drums which I wrote in MIDI.

Description : A song of repentance, grace, and redemption, Second Chance reflects on our failures, the pain of misplaced trust, and the unfailing love of God. No matter how far we stray, His arms remain open, calling us back into His light and offering us another chance to begin again.

Description : A collaboration with legend mick gordon. There is no singing in this song other then me doing light hollering.
Playing styles in the track:
Synths: Bright 16th-note arpeggiated sawtooth/pulse leads for an energetic electronic layer, along with smooth atmospheric poly-pads. There is more but no room to list here. A collaboration of this scale with mick gordon was $12,500 usd in english $2500 usd a min. So rest assure this will never be made again. The song is called ILL not dracula.

we can't do them so badly that they don't want us indefinitely ...rest in peace Lucy...
handshake Mark, Danke
TY buddy.
Yes pets sure do have a way of working their way into your heart. They are always there for us. Lucy used to curl up at my feet when I was in my studio and when i was performing this song, out of habit I would look for her and then remember she was gone.
I am not ashamed to admit that I shed many tears in the studio doing this song and I think my raw emotion showed through in the recording.
Some people run for a bottle when they are sad....I run for my guitar lol...always have.
Mark.
A tribute song to your dog, straight from the heart!
Time for a......puppy!
Wayne
Good to see you old fried and TYVM.
Yes pets become surrogate children to their owners.
As far as getting a puppy, we have worked with an animal rescue in the area for 7 years and a mixed 3 yr old dog we have fostered (her name is Panda because of her black and white markings) will be staying with us permanently. She has been a handful and is a little like TNT mixed with enriched uranium lol...she's nuts and strong but only about 18" tall. But she has a heart of gold and loves me/obsessed with me. She's home now.
Mark.
Sorry for your loss.
This track although it was for a sad occasion it is wonderful.
Brilliant play my friend.
Brilliant vocal too
Jamid
TY.
I considered writing a sad song but then I would have never been able to listen to it; I decided to make a song that would celebrate our lives together.
Mark.
Enjoy your dog and get lots of pics.
We had 3 months to say goodbye to my old girl when we found out she had cancer. We spoiled her rotten.
