Description : *sigh* Several months after the experimental mixtape, this breakbeat/trance/chillout piece is still less than a minute long. Every time I try to go further, the composition seems to lose its energy and fall apart, like I can't make this track live up to the buildup that this intro has made. Any ideas? One of my more complicated compositions, and one of the ones I'm more proud of, a ton of synth layers, and some nice sounding drums which I'm looking to develop too. Once I conquer the whole build up thing, this is gonna sound great.. until then, 50 second song anyone?
Thanks to N0mad23 for a great digeridoo loop which you can just about hear halfway through the track.

Description : Been a log time since I was able to create a new tune because of so much overtime at work....I had to just stop making music. But now with retirement for sure on Mar. 31, I'll have more time for music for sure. This new tune I called 'Gunga Din', is a heavy rock sort with tight drums and added synth in the background to give it a growling sound that fits. The song is made up of various loops I liked and my own playing as well. Two different guitars and various guitar tones and effects were used....and a little experimenting with harmonics.
So give it a listen and see what you think.
Thanks,
Randy

Description : This is a track inspired by Avatar, the Last Air bender, if any of u know it. and i am not talking about the lame movie, i am talking about the animation. i have watched that one over may times i can't even count.the beat is simple, with a piano, finger snap, kick, squeak vocal, synth, boncas, and hats. i started making my own sounds, so on this one the snaps are what i recorded myself and used, liked how it sounded.
beat is rap ready.
to me i can simply sink into this track and let it all go, and that is where the saxophone comes in. please enjoy.

Description : I wanted to do a more energetic track since my last track (The Drama) was a bit on the serious side. This has like an ethnic feel too it, I created a bunch of synths for this track and the beat switches up a lot so listen to the whole track. I created this at work using only FL Studio 9xxl and the following VST's for my synths: Superwave-P8, Sytrus, Vega, & Analog Warefare 3. I put this up as "Hip-Hop" because of the beat, but i'm sure it can fit in a few categories...Give it a listen and let me know what you liked & didn't like, all comments are appreciated!!-David
*UPDATE* - I did some editing to the last verse, placed the bass synth in parts lacking bass before and adjusted some of my volume levels.

Description : I didn't feel right about overwriting the original track with this remix, so I decided to make two seperate tracks.Well I wrote this song back in spring this year, and I've been working on this remix for the past week. Has 8 synth patterns so far, no presets, all my own edited presets, has about 9 drum samples, and 2 or 3 fx's. And a lot of different patterns in FL. How I have been able to make it this far without my CPU making it impossible to work on is a miracle.
Hope you enjoy the remix!

Description : Palindrome draws inspiration from many places; I drew inspiration for the synth from artists such as Daft Punk and BertycoX, and the bassline, as well as drum pattern, is very trance-influenced.

Description : Track I created a while back but tweaked recently...Made completely using FL Studio 9. Created All strings with 3x Osc & Fruity Reeverb, created guitar using Slayer & used same notes for the "Choir-Aah Synth"...I created it as an R&B track, wrote lyrics but misplaced them at the moment. Let me what you think!-Dave

Description : A hip-hop track that I made a while back and have been tweaking here and there. I feel that there may be something missing...not quite sure what...but this what I came up with.Song was created using FL Studio 9, but The Main Synth in this track came from my "The Platinum Club Hip Hop and R&B Collection" sample CD from Beats45.com

Description : Electro Computer Program inspired by an vocoder acapella by Shamen.Using Reason 5/Record 1.5, a great Acapella from Shamen, a modem sample and that's it.
I tried to mainly mix it on my studio monitors but since I still have to learn them I transferred the track to my laptop and listened there as reference.
I upped it to soundcloud too to listen to it on my Iphone and it sounds good there too..
it's not perfect but I think I'm on the right way...
The greatest problem for me on this track are the low frequencies (808 basedrum, bass and some synth loops).

Description : This has just been updated (25/10/10).Well, this has been waiting since February 2010 to be finished! But I finally found a soft synth that emulates the e-bow made well known by Bill Nelson. So this speared me on to finish the track. I dedicate this to my good friend, Jon for his excellent e-bow playing back in the 80's.
I'm not to sure how to describe this piece, it's been a pain to finish but this is almost there, I'll let you decide! It's quite rocky/beaty. There might be a few more updates before I'm entirly happy.
