Description : A remix of 'Swing as F*$k' by Kiwistar and Josh & le Chat featuring Flechette, submitted as part of the remix competition here: http://www.remixcomps.com/contest/kiwistar-x-josh-le-chat-remix-contest. Created using Logic Pro 9 using the ES2, Ultrabeat drum machine (using WhoAteDaMuffin's kick and kenzo409's snare) and the ESP Polyphonic synthesizer. Samples and audio files used were the stems provided by Kiwistar as well as Najka's reverse cymbal (cut from a collection) and growls from BigDaWayne and Skeiz. Download will be available here (MP3) and on Soundcloud (AAC) once the competition has ended.

Latest trance-techno-dubstep thing featuring new samples; cymbal bell and a growl courtesy of DoctorDrew, and some older samples; WhoAteDaMuffin's kick and kenzo409's snare, BigDaWayne's growl and two reverse cymbals, one of which from Najka on SoundCloud. Also utilises new techniques such as waveform modulation and side-chaining for the first time in Logic, as well as different compression methods for both the tracks and the master. Note: The structure is heavily based off Au5's 'Flower of Life', and the chord sequence is inspired by PhaseOne's 'Touching the Stars'

The track is a bit minimal and I've tried to allow the multi layered vocals shine and not be over cluttered with much else. Percussion is Superior Drummer (using brushes instead of sticks), bass is a Sterling Sub 4 (a recent acquisition) played in live with an attempt at some funky slap stuff in the last chorus (tricky!) Guitar solo is my trusty Godin XTSA on the acoustic setting. Keyboard is a patch from Logic X.

So good to be working with this quality of vocal. Thanks Farisha.

Description : [Updated 24/11/14 - volume boosts, re-EQ'd kick and added a tremolo at the end, 'cos why not...] Knowing how popular RomyHarmony is, there is probably countless songs with the same title, but oh well. Creating in Logic Pro 9 using the ES2 Synthesizer, the Ultrabeat drum machine with a sampled kick from inklewinkle2's 'Liquid Drum and Bass Break' and kenzo409's snare, the ES E ensemble synth and of course, the 'New World' acapella by RomyHarmony, which was once again, a first class acapella.

This is my first track created in Logic Pro 9 (everything beforehand was Garageband 9), and utilises the Ultrabeat drum machine (into which I sampled kenzo409's snare and WhoAteDaMuffin's kick), the ES2 and EXS24 Sampler, into which I put a single loop of Skeiz' Reece bass and BigDaWayne's growl.

Description : This is a classically inspired piece I wrote in Logic Pro all using MIDI voicing's and no loops.
I have always loved Mozart's work and it inspired me.
I composed this in February of this year after I hit my left fingers with a table saw blade - healed now. There was a lot of emotion involved when I did this.

Description : A cover of the Judy Tzuke song (1979) and an amazing vocal performance by the very talented Pauline Wright. It's a real bass guitar and the acoustic solo towards the end is my trusty Ovation Celebrity. I have also doubled some lines with an electric where it gets a bit "celestial" and all the sting patches are from Logic X. Hope you like it and as always your comments much appreciated.

Description : First Of all I'd like to thank All the contributors of samples to this site much Appreciated. In this traQ I used 2 beats one at the beginning and one is the foundation of the traQ, I never use one beat I layer my traQs with about 3,4 or more beats to get a different sound plus effectsin Logic. A big fan of Pat Metheny I was learning a guitar part from the way up album. Wanted to color way out the box so the foundation beat here I couldn't resist (Thank U looperman-l-0373650-0057551-gman15-killer-drum-loop.wav and looperman-l-0676737-0065505-dontrale1-clockwork-snare-and-clap.wav) I felt the Pat part I learned didn't go so I put it at the end and came up with a different guitar part that fit perfectly with this traQ. I'm an Instrumentalist who's goal is to create not just for radio but for movies/TV etc. I listen to all genres especially jazz but when I create I fuze sounds together.....I'm not pop or R&B country jazz...I just like creating good music. So a bit of a departure here in that it's a real bass guitar (apologies to Dave Marshall in advance!) My trusty Ovation Celebrity provides the acoustic which is spread across the stereo image, EZ drums and EZkeys (I should be on commission) and some other patches from Logic. The solo is on the acoustic setting of my Godin XTSA.

Description : A voyage of discovery! This track simply emerged from lots of ideas. Superb vocals from Stephanie Kay. Thank you for the collaboration.

EZdrummer again at the back providing the drive and a very simple synth bass doubled with electric guitar all the way through. A low key rhodes style piano gives it a little suspense and a wah wah guitar line from verse two onwards adds some interest. The overdrive guitar in the chorus sections and in the solo are the trusty Godin xtsa with patches from Logic Pro. The strings over the chorus add a little tension (I hope).
