All the electric guitar work is an Epiphone Les Paul Special and the acoustic an Ovation Celbrity Deluxe. EZdrummer for the kit and everything else patches from Logic Pro 9.

Hi there Richie,

Wanted to give you are review back as you gave me one of last rock song I did recently.
Pat Edwards has sung on a couple of my country songs and I wanted to hear how she did here with you as well.

Well I really like this song, and her vocals are spot-on as usual. I like the lead guitar part in particular. Everything sounds really good and clean. It's always great to hear vocals that cut thru and you understand every word.

All I can say is....Wonderful job in putting this song together. Sounds it could easily be a radio song.

Thanks for sharing it.

I really liked the build up to the chorus and then it kicks right in. You guys did it again, Patricia once again shows her talents with her vocals and you can simply put together a great track. The song itself is arranged wonderfully, nice build ups, breaks and changes, well done guys!

Richie, you do it again....and man do you do it well. Every time you and Patricia get together it is a master's class in songwriting, performing, production, every last aspect that it takes to do a great song.

I don't have an adjectives to describe this. All I can say is I really admire your amazing talents and sure am glad you share them with all of us. Patricia, well we all know just how good she is.

This is top shelf, radio ready material. My hat is off to both of you. Thanks for the download as well. I hope all is well.

Hi Bear

It is always a pleasure having you stop by and write some comments. Thank you for your highly complimentary words and your support of our work.

I guess what is more pleasing for me with this track is I not currently at home so don't have access to my usual array of instruments and hardware. It's all been done on borrowed stuff!

Glad you enjoyed the song and thanks again. Hope all is well with you too.

Regards

Richie your ideas are crazy good listening man!! The duo strikes again! Always got something cooking and this time it was moving with great power and rocking like a hurricane. I enjoyed this track a lot. I guess I finally got online at the right time. Good work Richie and Patricia. You two are like the local duo that surely puts on a good show whenever I see you two pop up in the tracks section.. Thanks for sharing. Grabbed me a copy. Feel like I went through time. Ok guys..I'm taking the gloves off from now on (mainly due to the fact that I'm doing all my first take monitoring through my Auratone speakers now and I've raised them up to ear level, they do not lie)......Hot Damn!..the track still sounds fantastic!lol(as if it wouldn't,the mid range is where all the serious stuff sinks or swims)...I just love the attention to detail that you put into your work Richie, the drum track alone is golden, fantastic tom fills..I was getting quite nostalgic listening to this,it's pure early 80's rock..a lost fragment of the last vestige slowly subsiding into the quicksand of musical oblivion...sad...(lol) I just did a flashback (sorry)...ahhh,what can I say ...there is only one way Pat's voice can be improved and that's to run it through something like an Avalon737 tube pre, their only about $2,700 haha....and even then the results would only be in a 10% margin..the woman is amazing (all hail the Queen)....Man you keep stepping up your game and producing quality material,it really is a pleasure to listen to,and so informative about how to do it right.....quality effort with a superb result!
cheers Dave

Hi Dave

It's always good to read your comments and I'm glad the Auratones gave the track a good review too! The tracks with Patricia naturally evolve around the vocal and I spend hours editing and refining the track into a coherent piece. Yes, your dead right, it's all in the detail and it's just great you notice and mention that. Thank you.

Ah a valve pre amp - what I wouldn't give for one of those. It was on my birthday wish list but hasn't materialed as yet!!! Apart from Patricia's undoubted singing talent she does a great job recording her voice too - the acapellas are always clean and of great quality. A pleasure to work with.

Thanks for the great comments Dave - much appreciated.

Description : This is my newest creation, at a stage very near to completion. No third-party mastering or mixing, as with all my tracks. Just have to fix a few tiny things. I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO MIX EVERYTHING IN THE SAME SESSION. This song has all human-played instruments - no quantization or MIDI! My brother does all the vocals except for the interlude part, which I do. My other brother plays the rhythm guitar (a Gibson Les Paul Custom - only one of 12 in the world!!) and I play the accompanying guitar (a Johnny Mar Jag and PRS). He has a lot of guitars :P A good friend of ours, Ronnie, plays the bass and another friend, Freddie, plays the drums. The drum track was done in one take (had to use an electric drum set due to time constraints - but acoustic kits are so much better). Overall, pretty satisfied with the result. Let me know your thoughts.

Description : The first track I sing on. Cheap stage mic & no fancy plugins. Heavily guitar laden to the point it's got a bit of a shoegaze thing going on. I pulled the lyrics out of my ass & yes, they're a bit silly.

Description : BIG UPDATE 26/02/2014 - So, this was an 18 min track that I have now successfully split in two. 2nd half I uploaded a few weeks ago (Things That Should Always Be, with the bouncy 2 min reggae intro). This is the first half, which has a new mix, a mega chill, meditative ending and a little jazz thrown in for good measure. Takes a few minutes for beat to really kick in. Constantly evolving electric guitar, bass guitar, acoustic drums and lead banjo driven by fat, busy 80BPM grooves with a bit of a reggae and shuffle feel. Also: synth choir voices, dulcimer, violin, cello, shimmering pads. Builds up gradually to nice and rocking and then gets taken back down for the big comedown chill. I really don't know what sort of genre this is except 'far out'. I think it sounds more like a live band than one guy playing instruments and manipulating a DAW. Not my best track but a bit of blissful, sunny island fun. Real positive vibe here so I hope you give it a chance to unfold and unfurl. Sit back, clear your schedule and immerse yourself in these trippy sonic experiments cooked up deep in my off-planet underground laboratory. I have to send the MP3 to Earth via space courier (not cheap).

Description : This track was like the inhale after an exhale of aggressive industrial-electro-sludge tracks that I had put out that summer and fall. This was the more reserved, and introspective winter track. It's nothing spectacular, but I still really enjoy it. I hope you do too. Take care. V.
