Seriously cool percussion (always a fav part of music for me). A, Nicely laid-in composition that's driven by the rhythm. flute is nice. I wonder how a distorted flute would sound.. hmmm I'm going to have to try that someday, I digress.. Sax is always nic followed by a Piano like that. I am bobbing along at this point. Maling all those Musician faces that Musicians who appreciate fine music make while listening. Awesome tune man.
Whats good Steven? Thanks for the stop and compliments. But the musicians camaraderie you exude is an strong trait of yours. Now for the dirty flute business you mentioned, brilliant idea . Plus the highest honor is a BOBBING HEAD and STANK FACE we make when it hits just right. Peace.
I'm usually not a fan of jazz, but this was really smooth, and has a really groovy vibe. I was not expecting a little cheeky flute, but I'm glad it was there now
Hey Paul! I really appreciate the check in and critique. Congrats on the stepped up production on your end. You have a strong following! Remember our convos about Dem boys with the contracts, LOL! I must get caught up on your catalog, mate. Peace.
What a masterful treat, there is nothing like this real musicianship , totally absorbing and just makes me drift off following one line or another and then find myself carried along to another place again - I wish I could give it another fav. Played it twice this morning back to back
Greetings, what have we here? Some good old school jazzy stuff. I dig it. For a jazz song it was kinda long though. But i liked this track none the less. All the jazz elements are on point in this song. And yes this would be something if i was visiting a good old cafe or pub with a good glass of whiskey the kind of music i like to listen to. So well done king it was a blast. Have a good one & keep on creating, Verdi
Greetings Verdi. Thank you for the stop and listen. Your eval and fave is appreciated. Its also big that you found the listen PUBWORTHY. Have an awesome weekend and be safe.
In my country in such a case we simply say "respect". You dear musicians give music a special meaning and the instruments in your hands are talking another language, so magical and intense. When it comes to jazzmasters I simply enjoy the fruits of their mastery.
Best wishes, Anthony
Greetings Anthony. The stop and favorable critique is heartwarming. I totally agree with you on the special dynamics that exist between musicians and the freedom of expression through our instruments. Your comments are kind and powerful. Peace.
Hey Mark,
It's always great listening in again to how you tweak/finesse your tracks so you rolled this one back to it's original version, it still sounds fresh in any case, such a classy jazz treat that I could hear playing at some fine luxury venue, it has all the sounds you certainly hold the torch when it comes to jazz. Enjoyed hearing this sweet track again Bravo. Stay Safe.
Angelus. Thanks for stopping back through. Im impressed by how you listen and put what youve heard into context. Luxury venue? Ok. The compliments are always encouraging. Also its good when you repost your tracks. Stay safe my friend.
Some people just got it. Then some people GOT IT GOT IT, this is where you fit in. you have raised my motivation to an all time high Mark. Thank you for that last email. I appreciated it. I have been letting it marinate. Then I listen to this one that I missed and realize I'm going to have to go in to my old man music vault and pull out some STUFF on you. LOL. Thank you Mark for understanding. Will email or call soon.
Bill thanks for the visit. On the motivation point, the trait of true musical brotherhood is that we motivate each other. And we avoid the politics of not sharing that fact. You are extremely motivating and your gift is second to none. Yep definitely get at me and we’ll “Keep It Moving”. The comments and compliments are received graciously.
I came back just for seconds, thirds, and fourths! I haven't gone to my favorite jazz haunt in many months, and this is the closest I can get to it, for now. Thanks so much, Jazz King of Looperman!
Mykael. I appreciate the stop through. It’s also an honor and privilege for this track to hold you down until you get that jazz club fix. Your kind compliments are received humbly for sure. I’m looking forward to your about to be released project. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and stay safe.
Well, if people don't know about MARK the Jazzmaster they better ask somebody!...flipping hell I literally just lay down on my beautiful wooden floor with my lovely scatter cushions, got comfy & closed my eyes and just listened to this whole remarkable jazziness what a trip! seriously, I'm floored by this tasty composition, I think you know by now my friend I say what I mean and mean what I say & not afraid to give credit where it's due. When I tell you this whole track is BOMBASTIC! and finessed to a ~T~ then you know what time of day it is.
It's the JAZZMASTER! time to show us all how it should be done. Exceptional Work! indeed and much enjoyed! catch you on the next musical go round. Bravo & take care.
Angelus. It's never a small thing when you stop through. Really, it's like when the highly acclaimed jazz critic (that B U):) gives an in dept review. That's big! Nevertheless, thank you for taking out the time for this listen and fave. I'm glad that this trip to the SWAMP was an enjoyable one. And yes, We'll catch one another on the flip! Have a fully enjoyable weekend, my good friend, and stay safe. P.S. "MAIN FOCUS" is still flaming in my ears!
All this from '7' notes and its variations. lol. WOW. Brother, whatever you are doing, keep doing it. This is pure unadulterated MUSIC. PEACE. P.S. AND SOME DRUMS. LOL.
NDAPOCKET123 thank you kindly. Yep 7 is more than enough LOL! And absolutely, I’ll keep at it. I appreciate your thoughts here and our spirited and pertinent conversation. TTYL my friend.
Hey MT I loved this first time the horn was delicious, but I can here a difference straight away, and by that I mean it sounds familiar but different somehow and everything you post is worth a listen anyway, if they love music they will love you too
What’s up Paul?, yep this is an example of the “Process Of Continual Improvement”. I’m always looking for ways to make things better. But the other side of the coin is knowing when a composition is optimal. That’s when you stick a fork in it. Your presence is always an honor as well as your thoughts. Be safe and enjoy the weekend!
xstokes, really? Now you know….. no swamp is complete without mosquitoes! LOL! But for your time, listen, comments, and fave, GRATITUDE DUDE. Have an amazing and peaceful weekend my friend.
M.T.
You had me dancing in my chair for six and a half minutes. I love the flow of music, all the different parts work so well together. And the drum sections that seem to kind of divide it into thirds are really great. Fantastic work all around.
CitizenMofo2, welcome back. This one had you dancing? Yep that’s what’s up! I’m elated this track set well with you. The fave is not taken for granted and is greatly appreciated. Have an totally awesome weekend and be safe.
M.T.
The low end on this is so heavy it sounds like a squadron of WWII era bombers flying through the mix. That's cool. Love the flute solo. Intricate, complex and as beautiful as always my friend.
CBC, now that’s feedback. Thanks for sharing your thoughts here. I’m using some new plug-in’s and decided to beef up this track and have Jynxz to join me. Glad that low end along with everything else got a fave. Peace.
M.T.
yeah, how did I miss this one, my friend? that bass and percussion was almost giving me an udu drum-like feel. In my mind, I was substituting that percussion as I listened. That sax @ 1;46 was perfect. You have a great sense of percussion placement and I appreciate that about your work. I would love to hear a remix of your work incorporating some world instruments as I just think it would add to the flavour of the brew you have been concocting. Food for thought ehh?
cru, Thanks. I was already thinking about world percussion in the mix so I'm on it. I appreciate your constructive feedback and ideas, by them I know I'm hitting the mark. I completely love the sax here too. Be cool.
M.T.
Omg, the whole thing sounds amazing, but I've had a lifetime long love of the B3 and it was so well deployed here. Were any of these virtual instruments or did you record everything directly?
Killick, that B3 has always been a beast of an instrument, and whenever I can use it you better believe I will. Thank you for letting me know this was an amazing listen for you. Ok, the list of VST instruments, Drums, Superior Drummer 3, the piano, and organ is Korg Kronos. I wrote and composed all of the midis. Peace.
Dang man, you just keep putting out this great music. So many things to mention that are so cool, where do I start. Mix is tight, instruments all sound great. Tasty ear candy....again!
Wayne, I trust that all is well with you. Thank you for checking out yet another composition. Ear candy? I appreciate that comment. That's good info and fuel for the musical fire. Be cool and be safe.
Hey Mark.
I'm really sorry my friend I don't know how I have missed this one. I think I have said it before your talent is incomparable.
This track speaks for itself mate.
Wonderful sax and drums.
Great mixing too.
Well done my great friend.
Maj
Mark yet again top top marks excuse the pun, you really are a gem when it comes to jazz and funk the Bass is fire the sax and trumpet are brilliant as usually, you really know how to keep the listener enticed with these sounds excellent production and arrangement mate you really are on fire and a joy to listen to.
Paul, now I'm even more motivated to keep it moving from your feedback. Thank you much for including this listen and comment. You are part of what I consider to be the super team Dimestop/Maj Productions and you enjoying this listen is major encouragement for me. Be safe be cool.
bringer, greetings my dude! You know in my sleep I'm dreaming all sorts of odd and strange things about making 4/4 pop. And a good flute riff is always appropriate I feel. Those types of Sax samples that fit so well in this composition I can only find when I'm not looking for them lol. The saxes are courtesy of Splice and Hip Hop Lounge Saxes and I did the arrangement for this piece but you know that already :) I got the email from you. I'll take a listen in a little bit. Be safe and stay warm, cause it's snowing here.
This is one of the MOST brilliant pieces of music to come out of Looperman in a very long time. This is what I call cerebral jazz--it's not just something you listen to, but rather it's also music that beckons you to contemplate every note and nuance. Were this track was for sale, I would have gladly paid the price. Well, done, sir!
Mykael, it's an immense and humbling honor for you to have a listen and really enjoy this tune. Thank you for your kind comments. My personal goal musically is to write pieces that are thought-provoking. Cerebral jazz is an excellent description of what I feel about what I'm doing. Have an excellent weekend and be safe.
AtticElla, thanks. I appreciate you taking the time out for a listen, like, and comment. I’ve been doing jazz for about 2 years. I love the complexity of the genre and the added flexibility to mix in elements from other styles to keep it interesting and fun for everyone no matter the taste. I’ve received many compliments from those who normally wouldn’t listen, yet loving what they’re hearing. Be safe.

Description : Every instrument is performed and recorder live. Piano, double bass, drums.
Instruments Used:
-"WELTMEISTER" upright piano (MADE IN GERMANY in 1938)
-"KAY" upright bass (MADE IN GERMANY somwhere in 1950th)
-TAMA Imperial Star + Pearl OMAR HAKIM snare + Various Ziljian cymbals.
I just put together some old ideas to see if it will work. Some vocals and brass, or guitars is clearly needed. Let me know what you think about it. Tnx
Description : Do not freak out just because this is jazz! There's also blues, rock, funk and a little hip hop in it to break up the deep, chillout jazz sections - gets particularly rocking then funky at the end. Main bassline (the track's foundation) is recycled leftover slide resonator guitar parts detuned one octave to make a slide bass sound. Also features: piano, violin, hammered dulcimer, organ, ethereal pad guitar, bass guitar, jazz/blues/rock electric guitar and multiple programmed acoustic drumkits. This was difficult to make at times as I thought I needed more leads parts eg from sax or trumpet. But I'm happyish with the end result. I expect very little interest in this as it's both jazz and long jazz. But it's also an unusual type of genre-mixing jazz. So, leave your thoughts, good or bad, if you like...
Description : This is track me and my friend (great jazz, blues musician) done
around this great vocal we acquired.
Lot of hours in it.
I had great fun making it!
Hope you people like it.
Love and peace.
Description : I think it's a late evening song to accompany you for a single drink.
Jazzy in most of the aspects. It is made single handedly so please consider it an experimentation for the thrill of making music.
Hope you will like it.
Description : This track made me just stop working on it and listen to it for enjoyment.
Smooth Mellow funky Jazz. Uses: 0111003-djrumplestiltskin-swung-funk-drum-beat, 0087009-mrroads442-guitar-line, 0072485-michiel555-mellow-funk, 0058934-ferryterry-90-bpm-soprano-sax. Is this Funk or Jazz?
Description : This track contains only free loops from Stayonbeat.com and several loops from Looperman artists (listed below). I "made a promise" that my next track will be use a lot of jazzy loops - well, i done with this track, for the great sadness of jazz lovers or experts i think - i fear they will never forgive me. :) While my ISP launches my internet out of the Earth system for a long time, i had to face the fact that i dont have too much downloaded jazz loops on my computer, so i think no wonder that this one is sounds like if i smoke some marihuana while making it. But hey, who cares, i like the result - it reminds me the (maybe only) really funny episode of "Breaking Bad", where Pinkman uses some heroin and flyes up with an idiotic smile on his face - that chapter is priceless. :D
I dont think this one needs a vocal, but ofcourse you can use it if you want, and as always, just write and i will give any support as i can. Any feedback welcomed too as always. Enjoy! UPDATE 2015.10.24.: improved audio quality - lower lows, higher highs. Now in 256kbps!

Description : Something a bit different from us. I (Bobo) played guitar, synth, midi bass and percs to this piano loop by LM's most excellent Rasputin. Wataya, stoned as usual, thought he heard Barbara Streisand singing. This is the result.
Description : I created a hip hop groove in Logic and decided to duel some Saxophones. I am playing the Baritone sax on the left pan and the Tenor Sax on the right pan.
I added some bells like a boxing match bell to give it a fight drama feel. The hip hop track itself is dope to me. The duel is cool too. Who won?
