Description : Before I start, I'd just like to thank all of the wonderful community members who help me beat my creative block with their advice on my other track. Not only was I able to beat it, but I was also able to gain a little more creative ideas. This will be the first track with a background story. This track takes place in Las Vegas Nevada. A man name John, is an ex drug addict and finds himself playing the slots. When he comes across this blue synthetic drug, just sitting in between two of the slot machines. Not being able to resist, he opens the bag and takes a huge hit. John's body instantly reacts to the drug, causing him to go into full on high mode. John starts kicking the machine he is at, throwing chairs at the machine causing sparks to erupt, evidently finding himself practically burning the casino down. John continues his "high" on the Las Vegas strip. Doing everything from knocking old women down to flashing at the police. Eventually causing John to get surrounded by cops, almost exactly when he starts coming out of his high. As the cops has John surrounded with his hands in the sky, John realizes he has some more drugs left, hanging out of his sleeve, he quickly sniffs the entire packet, causing time to slow down for John. John kicks the garbage on the right of him, hitting on of the three cops right the face. The other two cops then shoots at John, John has an instant reflex action and dodges both of the cops bullets. Before, taking them both down and finally doing some awesome parkour, on his way to his hotel room, to dodge other police. John eventually makes it home, sits on his couch smokes a joint and calls it a night.

Hey Modnex, that was a great short story you had hooked me right in, and your music told the story well too, with all the sound effects thrown in. Just waiting for the short film now, lol.
The blue bag of synthetic party drug reminded me of this movie, maybe that was your inspiration -
    Thanks for sharing your vision.
    Blessings - Billy.

Thanks Billy! I've seen that movie, it was pretty good. Some of the inspiration might of came from there. A lot of the thoughts came from watching the hangover movies. Which I love to watch!

I would love to to do something with this story, as it would be interesting to see this all play out with the music in the background. I guess we'll just have to wait and see :).

Thanks for always stopping by and leaving your great comments, always appreciated.

    Have a great day!

Great imagining skills,i tell you. I mean, yes that's how a song like this should go - telling a (f*ing) great story!
Looks like you have transitioned well from your house and hip hop tracks to a theme based one. All sounds are just about perfect in the place.
I hope this track/story gets further development and some music video be released.

Thanks 25DjTj! I'm happy you enjoyed this track. I like exploring other genres. To see how different my music would sound making something new. So, I'm happy you think the switch was well!

For the music video, I've been thinking hard about that lately and might give it a go, so we'll see.

Thanks for all the positive feedback, always appreciated!
    Take care!

Great story to the song. Great tune as well, reminds me very much of the the early hardcore scene in the U.K. in the early 90's. Thanks for sharing :)

    Reply by Modnex

Thanks mild! It means a lot to me, that you enjoyed this one. I 100% agree with you, this does sound like a U.K song from the 90's. I've been listening to a lot of UK drum n bass songs lately, so I guess that could be the reason why this one sounds similar.

Thanks for the nice words and for stopping by. Always appreciated, take care!

    Hey Modnex

very nice DnB which tells the story, great description to the track, sorry not a genre I do much or know much about so can not really give any insight to errors, only thing can say I really enjoyed the track, everything sounds like it should be where it is, sounds great through speaks, main thing I really like is the arrangement and clarity of your mix...Fav'd mosaic...

Thanks Mosaic! I'm happy you enjoyed this one. Hearing that always makes my day :) ! Thanks for stopping by and giving this one a go, especially since its not a genre you normally listen to.

This should have an actual music video with your story in it xD it fits perfectly man!
Like the composition and the vibe of the track. Feeling the energy and the drums beating hard on my head xD

    Nice Improvement!

Thanks ReonN! I think a music video would be great too! Would be pretty interesting to watch how this would look on screen. Maybe one day I'll get the chance to make one.

I very much enjoyed reading your description as the song progressed! I found it to be a believable narrative with the cinematic qualities of the music. A good success in the atyle for sure! I liked the energy and the mix throughout. Fun stuff! Fave!

Thanks Spiv! Glad you liked this one. Also happy you felt the story line went with the track. I might attempt at making story lines more often, as I believe it gives the music more of a meaning.

Thanks for always stopping by and leaving great comments! Take care!

Man, look at you! Your stuff has seen MAJOR improvements as time goes on. This song as absolutely stellar. Drums are perfect and blend perfectly with the ambient sounds you used throughout the track. Great stuff bud, I loved it.

Thanks bro! That's always something I love hearing! Its just a great thing to know, you're improving as time goes on. Even though I can't take all of the credit. Its YOU guys who are helping me move forward. Without your helpful comments and sincere gestures to always listen and helpfully criticize my music, I would have probably given up.

So, thank you, all of you!

Now that's the way to do it!! Love stories through music. I worked in a casino for 3 months, housekeeping, terrible job, I'll stick to my banks thank you!! The things you could find between the slots... One guy got stuck with a needle. One day the power went out, everything went black and silent. I hung out by the security guard that was an ex marine/new york homicide detective 'til everything came back on hahahaha Believable story here, maybe not so much the guy dodging bullets like the Matrix(maybe he got lucky and they were a bad shot ;) )You set the scene well, high energy and the casino music sounds like casino music. The cops are great! Where did you get the cop samples? Wouldn't it have been easier to throw them some doughnuts? First rule about fight club, we don't talk about fight club.

Thanks Phatkatz! I agree, music with a background story makes the music even better and more interesting to listen to. Plus, if you ever make a music video, it would be much easier and faster to do it, because you already have a story line. Yeah, the matrix part probably takes off the real bit, but then again, you'd be surprise what people could do when high on drugs lol.

The police sounds came from a movie, I think. Not too sure, I found it sitting on some free website, so decided to use it. Thanks for all of the kind words, much appreciated. Have an awesome day! :)

hahaha loved the story :D track is cool too, I was trying to imagine what part of the story fits in with the music. I was half expecting to hear a bong gurgling at the end :D

    Reply by Modnex

Thanks TeeGee! I'm happy you enjoyed the track. I hope you was able to find out where all the events were from the sound effects. Hopefully it wasn't too hard to decipher. As for the bong sounds, that sounds like a great idea. Maybe I'll throw that in there.

    Thanks for stopping by!

Damn that's some creative stuff you got going on there. Are you gonna do the whole rainbow of colours? Blue Drug, red zone, yellow fever, Green giant, orange ape, Indigo gyrl ,& Violet prince.

    Reply by Modnex

Thanks Steve! Hey, watch it, you're one of the reasons I made this track. Now, you're giving me more ideas, ha ha! Keep that up and I'll have a whole album of songs named after colors, drugs and numbers lol!

I can't say much on the music itself as it is contains heavy cinematic wide-spectrum-screen drum kind of sounds. It is just hard to evaluate them as they are represent the quality themselvs.
At 0:50 - first time I hear someone is automating clap like that to create reversed lead-in haha. Very cool blendage of different background ambient story-related sounds

    Reply by Modnex

Thanks promenade! You're right, this track does have a lot of cinematic screen sounds in it. My idea was to try and create a scene based off the music alone. Its nice to know, that I was able to accomplish that. As for the claps, yeah, I was going for something a little bit different. Its great to know I succeeded.

Thanks for all of the kind words!
    Take care!

Like the track. Especially the hype drums. Cool storyline as well. Was picturing it in my mind while listening. Reminds me of a Max Payne scene or maybe Fight Club.

    Reply by Modnex

Thanks Format! I agree, the story is sort of similar to that of Max Payne and or Flight Club. Thanks for the kind words and for stopping by :)!
