Description : Glen Cloy is one of the glens of Antrim (Tumbleweed's county) in Northern Ireland. The little people, actualy fairies, populate all of them and they all have very old ghost stories that have been told for centuries (and still are)...This one is about Shaman of old and his journeys through the spiritual world...That sums up what Ed told me about the concept for our 7th (how convenient^^) collab work. The main core of the track is Ed's work and the original length was 5:18, but I wouldn't have been Orlando if I didn't tempt to compose my longest intro to date (3:10) to inject my own fantasies about little creatures of Glen Cloy (soft spot for spiritual world..hehe..). Other than that I also added some synths arrangements and vocal samples for the rest of the track and probably ruined it a bit..haha..but that's how collabs are sometimes..:)^^.....All my thanks to Ed...and Irish ghosts ofcourse...

Wonderful atmosphere on this one.
The "longest intro of the history" works very well :-)
Well done guys!
No I have to go and listen to part 2 ...
Ciao, Domenico
hey guys
after that second pluck i was excited already and knew i will like this.
the way the background comes trickeling in is quite literally music to my ears and gives me the "benign goosebump chills", for i lack a better definition.
i don't mind long intros either if it's not just the same bars looped for 3 mins.
not only the harmonic aspect was done very much to my liking but also the mix is superb, kudos for that.
the low end is beautifully done and everything else sits nicely spread in its intended location.
the string and the flute sections were also really cool.
great stuff!
This is so spiritual! This is the kind of music i love and follow... So beautiful.. All the Sounds... Choice of Elements.. Arrangement.. Intro-Outro is all spot on. This track is among my most favorite Top 10 Ambient tracks now. Look forward to this collaboration and i like the name, Tumbleando!
Hey, this is quite spectacular! I am far from my days listening to lots of ambient and "new age" music, but I can still appreciate something as fine sounding as this - especially when created by two awesome musicians such as you and Tumbleweed. Very interesting percussion textures when the rhythm gets going... I like the sort of pumping compressed feel of them. Smooth and flowing composition you two have created here, and I'm happy that I listened. Hope that you are well!
Thanks alot, my friend...I can only appreciate again and again
when you have to say so many nice things about the song within the genre that you usually don't listen any more...
Just found this track, Orlando. Really fine piece of music here. A very rich, enveloping sound. I definitely heard echoes of Enigma, one of my favourites in the electronic music genre. Nice work! Kudos to you and Ed.
Well Orlando, I may have been away for some months and something's don't change....thankfully, your music is still as good if not better than ever! As usual I needed to have 2 or 3 listens before commenting, your intro addition really sets the scene, leading you so nicely into the main, there is almost an Enigma feel to it, vocals sitting perfectly and almost an hypnotic beat throughout...and I don't know about too long, it flew by for me, but you are the master of producing long tracks that grip you all the way through! I am now with Belter Radio and this will be on my playlist as of now. Great work Orlando and so good to hear your work again.
Take care my friend and my best wishes,
Mark
Welcome back on my page Mark...It's been quite some time since your last review here...so glad you're back!:)
I'm so grateful for your kind thoughts and supportive feedback on this one!
It's very interesting how very few people recognise the clear echoing of Enigma, but you got it rightaway. On the other hand I have to say that resemblance with Enigma wasn't intentional...it just turned out that way. But then again, this clearly shows how different musical influences sneak through our subconsciousness..:)
Also nice to know about Belter radio and that DJ Mark is running his shows on Sundays...I will surely be listening.:)
Love the big ambient intro. You're really good at creating soundscapes that just flow together seamlessly. Now we got the drums coming in so I can now hear tumbleweeds influence. You both work really well together. This has a kind of pink Floyd vibe to it and it all works really well.
I really like the piped sounds in this and that subtle vocal is a nice touch as well.
It's pretty epic at just under 9 minutes but you carry it through well and keep it interesting throughout.
Really nice piece Orlando.
FR
Many thanks for listening and for this kind and supportive comment...I always thought it sounds more like Enigma than Pink Floyd, but it's nice to know you found some floydish colours to it.:)
hi, this is some excellent ambient. Definitely different form all of what I am doing at the moment but very unique and really 'eastern'. You are offering some mysterious soundscape - I can entirely dive into it.
Alex
Yeah...sometimes even musicians turn into Santas...:)
Thank you so much for accepting your Christmas gift with open
hands!:) Happy Christmas hollidays mate...
Your deepest work, without debate...I had to listen it 3 times before write and say thank you cause I showed this to my 8 years old girly until she was watching Puppies at Ozone Network and she slowly went asleep...when she woked up she said: Pap, show me that song again, it was very dreamy and fairy-tale...
:-)
Spiritual and natural...you guys are the Masters of painting pictures in music...
The present and the future's new composing duel: Tumbleando
:-( Hah...
Thanks for this materpiece...and yeah, I forgot to mention those 2 low notes around 0.40 or so...magical beast...
Congrats and shake hands to both of you with my best Christmas wishes!
Omg Danke...you're scaring your children with my music...haha,
just joking...that's a huge compliment ofcourse and the invention of Tumbleando is hillarious, but many times we really think (musicaly) as one person, which is incredible.
Thank you so much for this incredibly generous feedback and ofcourse for the dl and fav'...
Merry Christmas and happy new year to you and your family.:)
an epic, cinematic feeling hear. a rich tapestry of mythic imagery, ghosts included of course. beautiful sounds, beautiful mixes. you guys are ready for the movies. best of luck promoting this high level, professional work.
Intro Blends into the main theme extraordinarily well my friend. This is just an awesome collaboration. I had a DVD from a few years ago called True North, and it was spectacular scenes of the north wilderness with amazing new-age music in the background. This track my friend would belong on that DVD no problem whatsoever.
Great work my friend.
Steve
Very intense and deep stuff.
Listened to the whole piece and it really feels like a journey,a proper journey.
All the elements gel perfectly with each other.
The arrangement(yes the arrangement)its really subtle and clever as it triggers some emotions that not too often other pieces do(at least with me).
The concept behind the piece alone as described by you is amazing.
Very nice piece of work...lots of flavour in this with just the right
amount of space, to make it all happen...
I just got a New Car a 14 Maxima Dressed for highway rollin...
Bose Sound System that is as, clean as the Board of Health...
Got to try this in there...
Ghosts, celtic stuff, no way I'm missing this!! :D I believe it was Ireland where they found "Deviant Burials", skeletons believed to be vampires by the unusual way they were buried/abused after death. Interesting documentary on you tube about it, the mystery of the vampire skeletons, or Strigoi. Inspired a whole project for me. I also saw a documentary about the existence of small people like fairies or lepracauhns in Ireland and the possibilty that the myths are for real, based on archaeological discoveries. Spirit world, something I'm fascinated by! Thank you for this pleasant treat Orlando and Ed, fav'd :p
I'm glad to know that we finaly did something for you.:)
Your fascination with spiritual world is more than obvious.
Many thanks for listening, great comment and the 'fav'!
Greetings. What a long and involved track! Reviewing it feels a bit like the challenge of reviewing one of mine, except it's shorter. Definitely reminds me of some of my stuff though also quite different.
Other thoughts:
Nice initial intro but that low hit on 0:40 sounds like it should be the intro to the whole thing. It's just a neater, more compelling start. Some good clanging stuff then and a big, powerful soundscape.
1:24 cool, glacial pad and vocal tone slowly seeping in.
2:10 shimmering synth thing. Then some beautiful strings. That's the first Irish sort of stuff I hear in this.
3:17 vocal very beautiful.
3:32 finally a beat and it's a good one.
3:52 and beat gets fatter, as I'd hoped for. Thundering bass heavy "world music" that reminds me a little of a guy on here called n0mad23 (no relation to me).
Powerful, evolving soundscape stuff to get lost in. Some elements are a little like Enigma. Remember them?
5:44 a note and tone I really like. Makes a big difference.
Surprised not to hear any Tumbleweed guitar in this.
7:00 hats drop and we hear the tone of those drums better.
I'm quite familiar with this sort of sound and really appreciate it but don't love it. Would probably like it more out at some sort of chillout club or festival rather than for home listening.
Hi mate...I must say I'm really grateful for this comprehensive feedback (I wish I had less tight schedule and some of your special passion to be able to do the same detailed reviews on other people's work, but my decision is on investing those precious bits of free time on making more music than anything else).
Yeah, this is now one of my longest tracks and I'm glad you found quite some elements of it pleasing and exciting although it's not quite the stuff for your home listening, as you say.
Enjoyed the trip again Orlando...my thanks to you...I have been congratulating myself for discovering you HaHa...I repeat the comments in my email...a stellar bit of work again....will be in touch on that question about the themed mixes....didnt get much music time this past year but hoping that will change soon....Ed
I guess the self-congratulative behaviour is mutual...haha...
Thanks alot for stopping by...your support is always most valuable regardless of the fact that we already talked via email...hardly waiting what you gonna tell me about the themed project in your next mail..:)
Description : Headphones are recommended for a more immersive experience :P - - - A weary American soldier is walking through the remains of what used to be a small town in the middle east, only to rediscover the horrible reality that sometimes war can affect even the ones who have no part in it.

This is my first attempt at creating a virtual environment to tell a story and convey emotion. Hope you enjoy! Comments are welcome!
Description : the other end of the scale from me, yep people, this is a ballad. its for all the people who have lost somebody long before their time was due,
i used my experience of tragic loss and how i hid my mental health issues that stemmed from it while writing it, its repetitive but has fresh verses
its to Matthias music Du Bist Nicht Mehr Hier almost the same title, He has suffered too that's why he wrote the music and dedicated it to his brother. i hope i have done it justice
Description : This track contains several loops, all of them are from looperman artists - listed below. I don't know if "ambient" fits well for it, but i get most loops from that category. :)
Inspired by the Final Fantasy series and my ex girlfriend. Hope you will enjoy it (not my ex! :D). As always, free to use for a song, any opinions-critics welcomed... UPDATE 2015.10.24.: improved audio quality - lower lows, higher highs. Now in 256kbps!
Description : Working with DarkKZ by Beatskillz, Synthmaster 2.9, Waves Bass Fingers, Microtonic drum synth, Izotope nectar 3 elements, Ozone 8 Elements & several other plugings I'm trying for the first time. The vocal samples are from Ghosthack, LANDR & Sampleswap. Hope you like it. Cheers.
Post script: The word "Ambient" has come up several times in the comment section for this, so I switched the genre to that. Thanks for the input. I really appreciate it.
Description : I made this with Garageband and was inspired by Anime music, such as Naruto. And if you noticed one little part is very similar to one of the melodies.
Description : ambient, guess i was trying to blur the lines between soundscape and music or something like that. will still edit here and there. put it on, lie back and sift. bass loop from LM's megapaul - darktimes and danwilson - drug induced crush
Description : Depression and sadness can sometimes serve as motivation for creativity as in the case of this track. A few months back I went through a period of loosing a few friends and co-workers. Attended a few funerals and as a result found myself reflecting on life. One night I had the urge to try to transfer my feelings into music and this is what came out. Some baratone guitar accompanied by synth and accapella.
Final EDIT: Further tweaking on levels and a slight change up in the timimg of the choir section.
Description : Hello,
this is a track between composition and cover.
Amandine (Sova Berry or Dine on soundcloud) made a cover of the a cappella "Song of Sophia" by Dead Can Dance.
I liked it very much, so i decided to make an instrumental with her vocals.
Hope you'll like it and if you want to comment, you are welcome, whatever you think.
Bye
Description : Ambient, Chill Out, Cinematic .... I´m not sure ... Take your headphones. Close your eyes. Start the engines and have a ride into the unknown. A spacy little trip from somewhere into anywhere outside. - U_P_D_A_T_E - I made a video to this track. So you can enjoy now the flight with open eys. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ON4u0bRZJ4k
