Really cool track, RW. I don't listen to this style much, but thought I'd chime in and offer my kudos! Your mix is really tight and clear, allowing all instruments to project well...Good Job!
Now this is Kickin, that's a Nasty Bounce with a Solid Mix this might be the
horse that does the trick for you...
The dynamic in the groove, you should look deeper it's there...In it's most
simplest form, just maintain the thought "Less is more" and the door will
open...
i am sure it has been said but that is powerful when full volume comes in. and the vocal is sounding great. neat little break section at 2:30 - fresh sound!
Now i understand why you like the -Destructivator- tracks.
This one reminds me, when i come to 2:30, on -non atomic playboy- almost same kind of break and sounds and that makes this track so cool in my ears ....
Very hard driving beat.
This track needs a underground club to be played there. And it must be hot there and hypnotic lights all around and some little fog and nice half naked bodies on the dancefloor :)
Hey RW,
sry for late turn in ,there is a lot of work waiting for my attention, you have good ideas that I need to recognize envy, I've enjoyed it to give me this song, unfortunately a little too late, it's really all been said and and I mean the same as glados666," Great Track",good work,DRO
Well since i've already reviewed all your current tracks i thought i'd give this another play. It really is pretty darn wicked. I love that old school bassline and i like the way you supressed the sound at the start of the track before letting it rip and bringing the je taime sample in. I like the way you've mucked about with the sound to keep the flavour interesting. Yeah i know i've said all this before but there aint no rule on multiple reviews. Good job with this.
FR
The ideas are all here, but to me the track lacks too much punch. For my taste you could have keep the 80s sounds and feel with a more powerful and "fat" mix and the tune would have be a total blast! It's not a shot on you, I really like your work, it's just a point of view, in my hopinion you should consider a more "contemporary" mix and master keeping the style and sounds.
For some reason Frankie Knuckles came to my mind while listening to this, and I think that you could easily achieve that kind of overall sound without changing too much the overall feel of the tune.
Thx dude. The comments are appreciated. I don't take anything you said the wrong way. Like a lot of people, except for maybe top pro producers I guess, I'm always trying to improve the sound. I use all the software I have and use what I've learned so far to try and get the best sound I can manage. It is what it is.
What's up RW. Interesting track. I love all music, but there was a time when I was DJing nothing but House type music. I can actually hear a few songs coming off this one track. Very creative indeed. The mixdown is very clean as well.
Have you ever tried mixing your own stuff after mixdown? If you haven't tried it yet, you should, it's really fun. It's cool when 2 different tracks you created go well or should I say 'Blend' well together. Sometimes it helps on the creative side and open up your mind to new ideas.
That's why I love DJing from time to time. Well, sorry for talking so much lol. On the serious note, nice tune man.
I've never tried mixing any of my tracks. But that sounds really cool and a lot of fun. I'm interested in DJing and have some friends who are but never have. Not yet anyway.
And no need to say sorry for the comments, I appreciate comments with some thought put into them. I'm pretty sure I've listened to some of your music on here. But if not, I will check you out for sure.
MASSIVEEEEEEEEE...Totally loving the vibe as soon as I hit the play button, totally 80's feel about this one, nothing more really to put mate but very nice work, been great coming here and see you growing with each track...FAV'D...Peace n Respect...Mosaic...
Thnx mosaic! You're one of the 1st to give me support and encouragement so I'm really glad to hear the comments. I'm trying to get a better sound every time, even if the sound I'm trying to capture is retro, sometimes lo-fi, it still takes some work to achieve that sound, lol.
Love that retro vibe through the whole track. It's cool to take a break from modern house sometimes and hear some retro house like this one! Really sounds great!
Nice work here! I can't say I listen to a lot of retro sounds, but you pull it off very nicely! It has a nice funky vibe going on and I enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work!
Fab retro dance hit you've done here, but I won't deny that it has some very up to date influences within! Loved the intro, reminded me of listening to a tape dubbed from a tape copied from a record or something. Then it blasts through your speakers like a good house hit should! Man that song went by way too fast! Mr Robot has lots of awesome loops, and you've used them well. Was very enjoyable to listen to, and I'm so happy you had a new track on your list today! Fav O Rit
RW,
I enjoy some good house now and then and this was in my opinion beyond good.
So fellow Canuck, I heard some screaming guitars in that mix in my head and was giving my Les Paul the eye.
Hit me up if interested.
Oh, Fav'd BTW.
Mark.
Sounding good Renz. I love your 80's synth pop style and this bassline is banging. I like the way the compressed bass suddenly explodes into full force and then the je taime sample comes in. This is very retro and has nice little dips and drops. Nice synthwork here.
I dig this track (as always seems to be the case with your stuff)
FR
Thnx FR. Your feedback means a lot to me. MrRobot gets full cred for the awesome loops. I just tried to bring it to life in my style I guess. Some parts seem more straight forward than others but I experimented a lot with EQ, plug ins, filters, etc in the production to go along with all the chopping.
I really don't why i took a break from this site. I've been missing on some really great talent. I agree with the others, this and that feel the rhythm track is real retro sounding. Which is a skillful switch up from some of the usual catalog. Grooving track, everything in this one feels on time and in the zone. Excellent arrangement. Love it, could of been on the SSX 3 soundtrack. Please tell me you've played that game. I just see that your from canada so I had to be sure. Again, excellent work. peace
Ha, I love me some video games but I never played SSX 3. EA sports is located just minutes from where I live too :]
Thx for the positive feedback man. I can take credit for the arrangement and production but full cred has to go to MrRobot for creating those awesome loops. I thought the main synth sounded retro but was afraid I might lose that feel in the production. Glad to hear it has that retro sound I was hoping for.
I like the filtered transition at :48. This feels very eighties to me, and I love me some eighties music. I love 1:40 and the edits on the bassline. It would be interesting if you could add some slap echo on the je t'aime vox. 2:24 is nice and gritty. liking that section. or should I say J'aime cette sector. Nice work overall
Steve
Thx Steve. Appreciate the feedback. I'm gonna try out that slap echo. If it works out, I might edit and upload cause there is one other section that I'm thinking about altering also.
Description : Unofficial preview* of my upcoming first produced track named Therapy. Litterly a cut out of the track. Uploaded with first thought of letting it hear to a fellow Looperman member for a possible collab later on.
Comments are welcome tho!
About the preview, after the drop will start to another semi drop and with an harder more rawish main chorus part behind. Everything is as good as done now and being checked by demo listeners for response and feedback before getting a last hand at mixing&mastering.
Description : My first house song (on looperman). It's actually mix of progressive and dutch house. Hope you'll enjoy this! :) If you have time you can leave feedback, it's always appreciated!
Description : Ugly ass witch house beat that isn't technically a house beat. (The Drum Track is by LM's Danke.) The Track's based on an older beat of mine with the same name. This version's half as long & not as busy. The Synths are Synthmaster, Massive, Dark Keys & Creep Piano. And of course, It wouldn't be a Clickbait Cabaret beat without nine zillion FX plugins. Pretty sure all of them are on this beat.
Description : Funk House/Disco inspired by Daft Punk
No Samples used
Instruments:
Various vintage synths
Kontakt libraries: Ilya Efimov Telecaster for guitar, Session Horns Pro, Chris Hein Strings, NI Guitars
Vocals: Plogue Chipspeech & Alter Ego
Description : check out janimifsson for these vocals
learning how to do house
good vocal effects
terrible drums
couldnt find a melodic loop to fit the track
figured out the key
the harmony basically matches the melody
probably in some dorian scale or something so
have to learn about that
the drums are my weakest point
good at the start but awful after the beat drop
please comment any songs to listen to to learn drums in this style
any advice please comment
Description : Melodic Progressive House with the lyrics by Mr.Shammi (visit his account here for incredible nice acapellas!). The ref is in Melbourne-Bounce-Style.
Description : Update: So this was the looper tune that started it all for me on this site. Hard to believe it was Over 10 years ago. This tune carries the ethos I bring to music...interesting, always change the genre mid-flight and you won't see what's coming next. Also cool to see the early comments and who is still around as well. (#Feeling retro tonight) Orig: Trance-step tune that changes direction a few times
Description : EDM song with cliche "Animal" drop. Let me know if you would like the big kicks, claps, or drop synth. (only ones I can give out) Key of F# minor. Made with Ableton Live 9 Suite.
Cheers,
Scott

I loved the change at 2:23 and onwards because I started to get bored of the almost same line repeating XD
Great track!
Thx for the listen and comments :)

As I said, no shooting, just my two cents :)
