Description : This is the end credits song for a short film my friend and I are making called "The Bridge" - it's a horror type film which I really wanted to do the soundtrack for. This track I wanted to have a full electronic flavor, where most of the other score stuff I have done is much more mood-esque with minimal beat work. I made a lot of the sounds and effects in Garageband and then did the final work in Soundtrack Pro with various beat loops and some additional loop fx (Sony loops). This track will jump in right as the credits start. If you have any interest I made a website for the short film at: STAYawayFROMtheBRIDGE.com Thanks for listening, hope you enjoy it. Cheers!

Description : No idea what genre this is, but I felt cinematic as I was making it, haha. I made a few variations of a synth line in Garageband with my keyboard to keep a theme with rest of the song I just feel it is missing something, I have no idea what? Any suggestions would be cool...or you can download it and add to it if you like, let me know if you come up with anything. it's 100 bpm - 4/4 A if that matters? Thanks for listening.

Description : It's been quite awhile since I uploaded a new track so I finally finished this one. I had been working on it here and there over the last couple months and decided to just end it, haha. It starts out kinda mellow industrial-ish, then breaks into a harder section. I tried to add in lot's of breaks and slight variations of the structured beat with multiple beats, and added in lot's of fx and various sounds, most of which are chopped up quite a bit. I also found some dialog loops and added those in too. Made with all loops, mostly Sony and a few Mac. Hope you like, thanks for listening!

Description : Another one with more metal influence. I wanted to make a track using a very heavy natural drum kit (specifically death metal double bass drum stuff) but still keep it somewhat electronic sounding by adding in some minimal synth and a heavy bass line. I used a couple drum loops from fellow member Anchor as well as a guitar riff he did. I added in some electronic beats on top of Anchor's metal drum loop to give it a cool mix sound of natural and electronic. I only had one quick guitar riff so I tried to cut and chop that as well as adding in lots of breaks and change ups to keep the structure interesting. Anyways, thanks for listening.

Description : More cinematic soundscapes. I really wanted to amp up the soundtrack vibe by adding in some orchestral brass. I worked really hard trying to match up sounds to give a cool dark churning mood. I played around with various beats, doubling and chopping those to give it a thump through the track but not overwhelm...I added in various spots some trombone, tuba, trumpet, and some low strings and bassoon? type stuff...tried to keep in minimal so it didn't turn into a full on orchestral score. It's another attempt at taking you on a musical journey...the imagery you see is up to you. Hope you enjoy the trip. Thanks for listening. peace.

Description : I wanted this track to really rock, in a techno-rock style i guess. I start out a little slower then pound it out fast and heavy with a few chops and build ups -and then to a sledgehammer finish - I wanted a crazy song that sounded like pure aggression.I wanted to make a harder driving track and sprinkle some metal into it, while staying in my comfortable style and vibe, I like breaks and I like build ups. This track is made up of 49 different loops which are mostly from my new Sony acid little extra loop discs you can buy (check em out if you haven't already-all different kinds) - I chopped and manipulated a lot of these and created a track I really like.

I made a video for it as well...

Description : I downloaded AnomolyJ's acapella for "What is This..." - amazing voice and emotion in this pella... I really wanted to try and work with it, in my own unusual style. Kinda a dark-hop flavor I guess, since it's not really hip-hop and it's kinda industrial cinematic dark...who knows? Anyways, I was picking beats and found a 4 or 5 that I liked and seemed to work as stacked or by themselves. I wanted to create something thick with ambient mood, so I started mixing in drones and fx to get a good base pad, and some guitar like synth for the chorus type sections, I was hoping to get a cool dark electro ballad of some kind. I've tried several different output mixes and am finding problems with each one, but for now this is the version so far. Hope you like. Thanks for listening.

Description : I was digging through my abandon project files and found this one and decided to give it another try. Sometime last year I downloaded some piano loops from Slap Johnson that I thought were cool and really wanted to do something with, I tried several times and then gave up - till now. I started from scratch with some new ideas and ended up finishing this finally. It's kinda a crazy hard switch up of styles but I really wanted to experiment with this idea. There are also a couple loops from MrRobot buried in here as well, other than that made predominantly Sony loops. Open your mind. I'm still battling with the final mix, so hopefully I'll upload that soon.

Description : I started out trying to make my own pads and ended up crafting this whole song. It's a sci-fi cinematic journey to Jupiter...with a little danger and mystery added in. A total of 65 loops all chopped and re-crafted to make this brief drift through space. hope you enjoy.

Description : I have no idea what genre this, but it's got lots of dirty fuzzy offerings so I put it under Grime. Some of you who have been around looperman long enough might remember MrRobot, who I feel is a true looper legend and has a HUGE bag of great loops for us all. I found a few grimy bass loops that sparked the creation of this track. A slow grinder that builds into a heavy thumping crawl. I sprinkled in some orchestral stuff and some fx here and there, reversing some orchestra hits to keep it weird an moody. Made mostly with Prime Loops and of course some great MrRobot ones as well. Thanks for listening. peace.

Description : This kinda has a drum n bass feel to it so I labeled it as such. I did a small intro then it continues on into my version of dnb i guess. This was kinda new to me doing something in the 160 bpm range, Tons of drum loops chopped and stacked to get some crazy beats, some change ups and breaks, some synth loop manipulation to liven it up a bit. Made with loops from various Sony creative software discs.

Description : All of my favorite things here, Jazz, dark Electronics and a bit o Metal... I found this one jazz loop that reminded me of those great old Noir films - so I took that and added in some darkness with fx, brass, elec guitar and beats. Some of the brass is reversed and filtered to add an eerie feel. I don't know what to label this as so I just picked Fusion. Hope you like...peace. Made in Soundtrack Pro with mostly Sony loops.

See my video version of this at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8PQforORX4

thanks for listening!

Description : Another track out of my un-finished folder, now finished. I don't think it's really breakbeat but I don't know what genre it would be so... a little intro then into a harder drivin' track with a mellow break. Made with Sony and Mac loops. Still trying different mixing variations to get a better sound. Sounds great on my headphones but doesn't sound so hot on my speaks.???

Description : Found this cool 12 string guitar loop, a few actually, so I went from there. I still wanted to create something mellow and cinematic in a way so I reversed some of the 12 string loops to add to the ambient pads I already had built up. I had a pretty simple underbeat going in the beggining stages but later I decided to spice it up a bit and added in some natural kit, to hopefully accentuate certain spots. I just wanted it to kinda drift through take you up then down and back up and so on. Still playing around with more mood oriented material. thanks for checking it out. =)

Description : A little sci-fi ambient rocker that I had to get out of my system... again. I just found some dialog loops on one of my Sony loop packs and came up with the whole song concept when I heard it. I threw in some spacey synth and some guitar punches that kinda reminded me of that old Ministry track. lol. I was just playing around last weekend and it kinda snowballed from the beginning and I just couldn't stop...I decided to just cut it off at like 6 min... hope you like it. thanks for checkin it out.

Description : Beautiful intro and then....hmmm -I don't know what to say about this one...I have forced two completely different genres and have no idea what I came up with. I downloaded an amazing acapella by fellow looper Marj, and I just had to do something with it. I wanted to see if I could make a breakbeat jammin style track with Marj's vocals...this was very very hard. haha. I'm still not sure about the bpm of the vocals but I did my best. I crafted a heavy track cross mixing loops from many genres, predominantly Sony loops and chopped up the vox and ran it through some filters. It is very intimidating trying to do justice to Marj's acapella but in the end I just wanted to experiment and see if I could mix her into my vibe of music, I think I need to step away from it for a while before I can see if I have anything. Any suggestions would be awesome...anyways here it is in all it's oddness...haha open your mind and hope you like it. UPDATE: tried tweakin' the levels a bit, might sound better now.

Description : I decided to take a break from my recent work which is more cinematic ambient stuff and make a more in your face driving track. This one started from a sick synth loop that just sounded kinda aggressive, so I built on it from there... heavy natural double bass drum beat mixed with electrinic, some breaks, some feedback craziness, and basically just layers of all kinds of loops, all Sony loops. Anyways hope you like it.

Description : Here is a new one from my ever-growing collection of Lounge tracks. Again I want to make my own style of instrumental chill/lounge - I love the old cliche' sounds of this genre, which is why this "cocktail" required lot's of standard ingredients - all mixed in...Jazz organs galore, upright bass, electric piano, jazz piano, electronic and natural drum beats, and of course amples of xylophone...87 different loops in all...lol. It starts out pure retro-lounge and slowly builds into a more modern drive with a cool edgy synth track I got from a fellow looper (if you recognize this as yours - please let me know, I download so many and the file names are numbers?) I had to add in some Slap Johnson sax for good measure as well. I feel like I have quite a few more lounge/chill tracks in me, but for now listen to this one and let me know if you catch the vibe...haha - peace.

Description : Another chill lounge like track, currently I have been playing around with more chill/lounge type vibes. Consisting of all loops - jam pack and various looperman geniuses. I store loops up like a rabid squirrel so if you hear your loop let me know and I can list the contributors! In the future I will try and keep track of whose loops I used. High props to you all!

Description : Wanted to try a more laid back dark thump track that was a musical slice of cinema, part film score-part electronic type song. This one has lots and lots of drones and feedback loops to build an almost driving pad in a way. Threw in some piano and multilayered beats... it starts out chill and halfway through breaks into a more pulsing vibe with big percussion tension...then back to chill. Thanks for checking it out, of course constructive criticism is always welcome. peace.

Description : I was instantly inspired when I heard MrRobot's "Moog or Not" synth loop... too good...I couldn't get it out of my head and just had to figure out a way to mix it into my track. I had a hard time figuring out the bpm, what sounded right? Still confused if I got anything here... I love the low buzzy feel to it, so many of MrRobot's loops tickle my fancy - This rest of the track is loops as well, once I found a groove I kinda liked it all fell into place fairly quick. Any suggestions are always welcome - I value any fellow Looperman thoughts!

Cheers!

Description : Don't know what genre this is so I listed it as weird. It all started from a dnb beat from DJ FredVal, the opening beat is two FredVal beats I stacked and then embelished from then on. I wanted to create a dark landscape of kinda chill dnb that has a cinematic flavor. I dropped in another synth loop from FredVal with the other Sony loops I used. Again my lack of experience is showcased in my final mix...lol... still playing around with levels and kinda lost the thump and thickness I had earlier, but then we get into peak issues...argh the madness of learning...hope you like it regardless. Thanks for checking it out.

Description : This one was a fun one. I was laughing the whole time I was mixing it. I took sound bytes from an old atom bomb documentary called duck and cover (which by the way all old war dept films are public domain – lot’s of good stuff for samples). I took that audio and cut it up re-arranged some words to make it a little more humerous. Most of the beats are loops I stacked, I added in some scratching loops and cymbals for punctuation. I wanted the old organ loops to keep the humor side of the track. I hope you enjoy this one! Remember, the atom bomb can smash in yo face! Thanks for checking it out. Peace.

Description : This track took on many identities as I was making it. I recently got my Sony vox loops disc in the mail and I was eager to use em, I ended up using a very operatic series of loops, what they mean - I have no idea but it sounds cool. lol. The intro starts out sounding very ambient goth, then some beats, then I added in some guitar loops from Rei4real which then (at about 3 min in) turned this track into a cool electro/metal rocker. I have to give a huge props up to Rei4real and his guitar loops - they make this song - hands down. In the end this turned into a very cool and heavy track...at least for now it is my favorite. Check it out!

Description : After searching through a few of my past tracks I have noticed that I had downloaded and used quite a few loops from Travis Huckins, so I figured I’d make a new track that focused on Huckins amazing loop offerings. “The Huckins Proxy” is all loops, 74 to be exact, 13 of which are all from Travis Huckins. The rest of the loops are Sony and Apple jam pack remix loops. It has a long ambient intro built primarily from Huckins loops -then eventually it breaks into some harder jammin’ sections – main driving riffs are Travis’. I have a longer version that I'm still playing with but I uploaded the shorter version for fear that it was too long. It was fun making this track and has now inspired me to try more tracks that focus on certain looperman members...so this song is my homage to the talented Travis Huckins…thanks for the loops man! Give it a listen and hope you like it. Peace.
