on Colab for electro house by johnnyproducing
Really nice intro, love the lick and the filtered in drums. The vocal sample is a nice little touch as well. It's difficult to guage the tune from that little snippet but it's sounding good so far.

Well what I like is that you don't have the tune fixed into a single direction which means it can be used versatile (*cough* remix *cough* hahah)

If you want to get working on this too then go ahead ;)

I forgot to mention the key and bpm in the description, silly me but it is g minor with 128bpm

on Clever (smallpauls pretty clever mix) by smallpaul
Haven't heard this for a while so thought i'd have a listen. I think this is a lot better than the version that i did (the bass was far too heavy in the version that i did)
I do like that vocal hook though so i might have to have another go at it. Musically this is really good, there's not enough trance about on the site at the moment so i'm really enjoying listening to this. Sounding really good on my cheap old pair of skullcandy's.

Nice for a lil snippet, I'm sure you'll not be short of people who want to collab. We need more singers on this site so hello, welcome and well done.

Like the melodie at the beginning ab=nd the wobble bass is sounding really good. You've done a good job with this. Nice haunting lead that transistions perfectly back into thr grungy nastiness. Really liked this track.

Correctamundo! You're not bad at making beats. This has a really cool flow to it. I like the simplicity of it. It goes well with the big orchestral timpani sounds. Would love to hear some vocals over the top of it.
Great stuff,

on SKT Ft Daniel Walker - Deja Vu Radio Edit by Spudsy
This is 'avin it mate. Is that you singing on it? The vocals are superb. Then again so is the main riff, the breakdown and the rest of it. I'd definitely pay for this track.
Hope it did/does well.

on Speedkor is Four Chumpz by glados666
This is i think the fastest BPM tune i've ever heard. It's completely insane with some ace video game noises. This would really do your head in at a club.
Everything about this track is utterly mad but i like it.

This is crazy stuff. Takes me back to the days i used to go to partys in the woods. Love the IT samples, the mix is nice and clean and the build up is pretty intense, it just keeps coming at you.
Mad but very good.

on What is love by Oxnitrogen
Nice trance number. The intro reminded me a little of the age of love but thats where the similarity ends. Some cracking synth work going on here and i love that little vocal clip. This is the best bit of trance i've heard for a while and it's definitely going on my MP3.
I'm really digging that side chained synth and that breakdown is superb. Is that you singing or did you sample that? Either way it's pretty darn 'avin it.
Best track i've heard today for sure.

on The Meandering Somnambulist by Evisma
Well this is a nice bit of electronic, rock type thing. I like the blend of real and synthetic instruments. I like the way that the beat pattern changes and the bass/guitar work is great.
This is something a little different and that can't be a bad thing.
The melodies are great and everything has it's own little place in the mix. Niceley faded out as well.

This is cool mate, It sits somewhere between house, trance, breakbeat and rock (If that makes any sense) Love the vocal work. The melody is very haunting and the vocals fit perfectly. In fact im suprized i'm only the second to post a comment (but then again i suppose it is Looperman and it just goes like that round here sometimes)
This is a great track with some superb soloing at the end. Perhaps we should try a collab sometime.
All the best.

on while not asleep increment sheep by doudei
Nice jazzy intro to get us started with some nice keyboard soloing. This is sounding really good. I do love a good old rhodes sound. The beat pattern is pretty funked up now i'm getting the acoustic guitar coming through and the first thing that strikes me is how clean the mix is sounding. There's sounds coming from all over the place yet everything is crystal clear. This is one hell of a track mate. Definitely a fav and a download.

Sounds like something straight from an old arcade shoot em up game or something. I like the fact that you kept it right back to basics with just all chip sounds. It's a clever piece and captures that retro sound just as it should be.
This takes me way back.

Really appreciate for replying and for the feedback.

I have really kept in mind to curve this track which will suit any new retro/8 bit arcade game.Just hope some indie game developer uses this in his creation..

Thanks for enjoying my track.

And yea I have added some cool FX and wetness to the track.
I think its properly mastered now...

Once again thanks..!

Digging the way you sliced up those vocals. I'm only listening on my crappy lap top speakers but this mix sounds like it has a lot going on in it. There's some nice synths and atmospheres layered over the pumping bass sound, which is all complimented niceley with big reverbs and vocal slices.
I like the way the piano builds towards the later part of the track and that synth is cool as well. Sounds a little like a cop siren or sumting.
You've done a good job with this one.

on Knee Deep In The Cosmic Overwhelm by StaticNomad
I don't see many tunes in the blues genre so i thought i'd give this one a whirl. Nice panning efx going on first of all. The guitar has a nice slide effect going on which sounds great blended in with the bass and the drums. Now theres some cool percussion sounds going on in my left ear complimented with the guitar going in my right. This would be great as a movie soundtrack or sum-ting. However, still no sweedish house loops so your missing a trick there again (I dont think i'm ever going to get bored of that crap joke)
Now i'm just going to kick back and chill to the rest of this.
FR
StaticNomad
StaticNomad replied 1st Jul 2014 - 11 years ago
Yo. I have a bunch of tracks listed as 'blues' on here, such as this one, which will probably be the opening track on my still unreleased blues album.

The Swedish house loops joke is still a good one. They're really needed here to liven up what is a pretty damn chilled track. Still haven't found out what Swedish house loops actually are and doubt I ever will. Try making the joke on random people's tracks. Might confuse them a bit. Hey - it could become the new "Nice track, bro" type of pathetic track comment: "Not bad but needs some Swedish house loops".

"guitar has a nice slide effect"

Slide effect? That's me playing slide! This might be my greatest slide track, though I've got a few and in different genres too, not just blues (and certainly not country). Some of the playing is quite exquisite, in my totally unbiased opinion.

Shame there's a bit of a problem with the delay/reverb on some of the guitars as it makes for a bit of a muddy mix, though still pretty damn good.

Pretty short track for me, eh?

I made it at least about 6 years ago but made improvements this year so updated it.

Thanks for your thoughts.

on Starting todaY- Brandon Michelle ft Behnam Zandi by deciBel
I see this track has already had a lot of attention so why not one more. The vocals are great. They sit perfectly with the guitar which in its self is played beautifully. I like the layering of the vocals and the reverberated effect.
You've kept it simple but in this case simple is effective.
Just over 2 minutes of total enjoyment.

on The Hypnotist - Sadness by Indozizz
This is a nice dreamy bit of melodic trance. I like the melodies and the arrangement. The pads are nice and it's got a bit of an old school vibe to it. Reminds me a little of some of Paul Van Dykes stuff. You're really good at blending synths together and it shows in this track.
Really good.

Well the intro is sounding hot and niceley in with the drums. This has a propper retro feeling to it and i'm liking that vibe. Like the way that it changes key and then reverts seemlessly back to the original riff. There's some excellent summer time vibes going on here and i'm glad i dropped in to listen to it.

Nice metal track. It's full of colourfull riffs, the vocals kick ass and so are the drums. Love this arrangement, the way it shifts shape as it goes along is really clever and well thought out. Are you playing this yourself or are those loops?
Either way it's a hot track and i'm glad i stopped by to tune in.

on endless journey with DesignedImpression by DanGoldstein
You've really managed to capture the vibe of a train going down the tracks and then some. This is vastly improved on the last version of this i listened to. I dig the drums and the piano parts and i like the way it goes a bit grungy and mental in the secon half of the track. It's in a very weird key but it works for the effect you were trying to achieve.
Very original and fun to listen to. Sounds like you're getting the hang of FL now.

i was really hoping you would come back Free. after all, man, it's an Endless Journey! LOL. yea - Dave provided the drums and piano for the "mental" section (I like that) I guess I am keeping my head above water with FL - yea. mastering is where I should really take a frickin' course or something, but I see the light now and then. thanks very much for your positive review and encouragement. I look forward to reviewing more of your tracks. later. Dan

Liking the intro, nice combination of piano and pads with some great swirly effects going on and then when the beat kicks in it takes off to another level.
The melody is great and so is the arrangement. It would sound even better with some vocals so good luck in your hunt for a singer.
Great work.

This is a superb piece of chill out music. Everything is right on point with regards to the mix. The vocals sound great and the pads are sweet as well.
I like the bit where the levels all build up and the intensity increases.

on Willful Ignorance by Spivkurl
Alright Spiv? Thought i'd check out your latest offering. Those acid synths are insane, been thinking about purchasing myself a 303 to make this kind of stuff as the FL 404 doesn't quite cut the mustard. Anyway, this is really good, dig the vocal samples and the heavy beat. Like the way you sliced up the vocal, this reminds me of being at a warehouse party totally off my head wondering what the hell is going on with this kind of stuff playing.
Although if you wanted to make it better how about buying a few sweedish house loops for five bucks each lol?
I really enjoyed this sonic journey.

If you're asking if I'm alright, you can set you're mind at ease. Thank you for stopping in to listen! I know what you mean about the 303, but after recent experiments I really feel more free when using other sound sources for acid bass. Don't get me wrong, I love the 303, but it is definitely a little played out as far as tone and sequencing goes. This bass was created primarily with a sample I got probably 10 or more years ago, the basic FL studio sampler, and a multiband distortion plugin. Glad you enjoyed the vocal parts too, was fun to find the right phrases to use. I'm kind of into stuff that sounds really cool and different when your high in multiple ways, so I get what you mean. I can think of better ways to spend $5, and worse too I suppose... Thank you for leaving a great comment, I know you know your acid!

on Je taime - I love You by RenzWilde
Sounding good Renz. I love your 80's synth pop style and this bassline is banging. I like the way the compressed bass suddenly explodes into full force and then the je taime sample comes in. This is very retro and has nice little dips and drops. Nice synthwork here.
I dig this track (as always seems to be the case with your stuff)

Thnx FR. Your feedback means a lot to me. MrRobot gets full cred for the awesome loops. I just tried to bring it to life in my style I guess. Some parts seem more straight forward than others but I experimented a lot with EQ, plug ins, filters, etc in the production to go along with all the chopping.
