Long time no hear so i thought i'd check out some of your tunage. I see i've already reviewed it but who says we can't review twice. Really like what you've done here with the vocals and the pianos. In fact because i like what you do i bought a copy of magix but sadly i cant figure it out for shit so i went back to FL lol. Stick with what you know eh?
Anyway back to the track. It's really stomping and makes me think i shouldn't give up on magix just yet.
Good to have you back on board. Where you been?

on In My Eyes ft JJWeekz by srbrown7
Good morning. First of all i'm liking the atmosphere you've created for the intro. The vocals are sounding nice as are the synths. Woha! It's shifted up a gear now and i've got a barrage of guitars, pianos and different synths. That was a nice change up. I know you're saying you hit a brick wall with this but it really doesn't sound like it. It sounds like you have spent a long time on it and that everything has been planned out to the last minor detail.
Really enjoyed listening to this.

Cheers FR. Thanks for the great feedback. Its always hard to find the mixdown you're entirely happy with when your'e trying to get the track loud but with enough dynamic range for all instruments to be heard! Feedback like this is very encouraging!

on Trapped Up by TheZerit
Nice intro with the phased synths and niceley in with the bass. I like the synth work as well. you've used some real interesting harmonies and sounds to keep the jam interesting. The mix is tidy and the variations are good.
Sweet track and probably the best hip hop tune i've heard today (there's been quite a few)

on Whenever Your Around - Jill Scott Cover - UPDATE by Mykael
This is a really well produced radio friendly bit of R&B. Is that you singing? You can hold a tune fella! I'm always a little jealous when i hear productions like this as it makes my bunch of mashed up loops pale in comparison.
Really enjoyed this piece Mr.

ey Pal!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and digging the tune. Yep, that's me...LOL. I had actually done this just for the purpose of uploading to Looperman. But, with the reception it's gotten so far here, I am honestly thinking of making it the sole cover tune on my sophomore CD which is forever in production. By the way I STRONGLY disagree with your assessment of your own work here. Can you say Depeche!!??

Love & Light,

Mykael

I like fusion because you never know what it's going to be a fusion of. That guitar is sounding sweet and very cleanly recorded. Is that you or a loop? Nice sounding bass guitar and dig that breakbeat.
This is really good. I'm digging the blend of instruments here. Something a little bit different for this evening with a nice summertime vibe.

Thanks
I'm glad you enjoyed this one.
The guitar is a loop from here by hamood called acoustic delay and yes I agree it is an exceptionally well recorded loop. Very inspiring and more or less the backbone for this entire track.I still am blown away by the cello samples too. there are alot of things about this track sonically that make it interesting for me.
Again thank you for your listen and your comments, I appreciate it.
Peace

on Who Cares by terrancet
Well i'm hardly the main authority on hip hop round here but i'll have a go. I like the melody. The piano is haunting, the synth is nice and i like the way the way the word fuck hits at the same time as the clap. It gives it extra oomph. Vocally it's good and your voice is nice and cleanly recorded as well. It's also pretty epic at 5:36 but you managed to keep it interesting all the way through.
This was an enjoyable listen.

Like the sampling at the beginning. It's a shame that i'm only listening on my lap top speakers because this sounds like it deserves to be played on a system. Digging those arps. It could have gone on for a lot longer.
Good work.

on Zendi Kabu by Spivkurl
Well i thought i'd return the favour and check out one of your older tracks as well. What does Zendi Kabu mean then? Liking the breakbeats that you've used in this is sounding well old school combined with that heavy sub bass. The riff reminds me of something but i can't think what that is now (f**king helpfull comment that is) Oh and i've just noticed what Zendi Kabu is so no need to explain that now.
Another enjoyable one from you.

Hey, thanks for stopping by! Listening to this again right now, haven't heard it in a while. My main problem with the song is that the bass is too stereo, not my style any more. The riffs do seem a little familiar, wonder who I was ripping off back then? This sounds kind of old now. I appreciate the comment, and your presence on the site! Thanks for the fave too!

on I Saw You Piano by aelmen
This sounds really good. It's got a retro 80's kind of vibe to it which i like. the soloing is really good with some nice ARP's. I think you might be right about this being your best piece yet. I enjoyed it very much.

Hi!

Yeah, you know I was born in the 70's and raised with music from the 80's. Duran Duran, Ultravox, Kim Wilde, Howard Jones, Alphaville on the one side and The Police, Madness, David Bowie (let's dance album) and Magnum on the other side. What a mix!

Thanks for listening!

Cheers,

Dude! Not seen you about on the loop so i thought i'd look you up and give one of your tracks a jam. This is ace, I rate Shawn Lats vocals anyway and you've done a great job creating your own track out of that pella. Love the scratching sounds and the dub vibe. Nice clean mix and great bit of organ playing. It's got a nice live feel to it as well as a pile of cool efx.
I'm glad i dropped by to listen to this jam.

on Jason Only Gets Two Hits by Evisma
This is sounding pretty sweet. Nice blend of acoustic guitars, kind of reminds me a little of one of Moby's acoustic numbers in a way. But then it doesn't. Nice touch with the acid lick, i like that then there's the harmonising which is cool as well. You might have just inspired me here to try a rock track. This is some solid work and just what i needed to hear to kick back and chill before embarking on my next adventure.
A clever blend of guitars and synths.

on Technical Time Ft FarM by Spivkurl
This is wicked mate. About a minute in and i found myself turning the volume up. There's some ace dubsteppy kind of basslines going on and the vocals really hit the spot in this one. I got to start throwing some vocals on my tracks.
It's well written, well produced and a bit of a banger.
Cracking stuff as always.

Spivkurl replied 15th Jul 2014 - 11 years ago
Hey thanks my friend for the cool comment! It's definitely one to be heard loud, so I'm glad that you did. The verse parts were totally effected by FarM's dubstep/drumstep sort of bass and drums. Happy that you enjoyed the vocals! I'm thinking if I redid them, I could probably do better, as this was like 6 months ago. I'm thinking they capture a moment well this way though. Would like to hear what you do for vocals! I appreciate your listen!

on mooon collab with Skylawker by DanGoldstein
Nice trippy intro. I've tried to do stuff like this but it never seems to work out, the intro sounds kind of industrial but then the floaty pad comes in and it changes to a chill out kind of a vibe. Now i'm getting some piano whilst continuing with the windy sounding background. It's quite a haunting sounding piece which i like. Good atmospherics and synth sounds.
It's only a short piece but i can see you're improving all the time.

on OmegaMode - The Elite - Peril Remix WIP by SUDDENSHIFTOFFICIAL
This sounds pretty crazy. I don't know much about dubstep so i don't really know what else to say except that it sounds tight and on point. It could use a little something to compliment the synth but it's a good start.

on Leben ist so by joecramer
Nice bassline and a more tropical kind of beat to kick of with and now here comes the synth and the vocals. It all sounds cool and together which is the aim of the game so you've hit the nail on the head here.
It's pretty epic at 5.33 and you've kept the vocals flowing all the way through. I wish i knew what it was saying as it sounds like there's a lot of lyrics.
I enjoyed listening to this track.

Hi FR
Yeah it´s the first time i used so much lyrics in a song :)
and there is no loop of anything in the lyrics.

Nice to hear that you like the mix.
The bass himself is from looperman but i changed it a bit.

About the lyrics .... mmm ..... lets say it so:
I telling strange things that happend in (my) life
Telling about things they could go in another way maybe
And telling something about that all is in a flow
cause life is so (leben ist so)
And in between all is a kind of madness .....

Thanks for youre time you spend
stay tuned

on The Air We Breathe by Planetjazzbass
Saw you on line so i thought i'd drop in. Yeah i've already reviewd this track but who says we can't stop by more than once? It's a brilliant piece and i personally think i might even stop by and give it a third or fourth review. Kind of reminds me of something from Pink Floyds "Division Bell" album which i happen to think is a bloody good album. You've pulled a masturfull mix off here and grabbed my attention without even having to stitch a squid to your face.
I'm just going to kick back and chill to the rest of this piece then i'm off to superglue some crabs to my nuts.
Cool trumpet by the way.

Whadup Benjizo? Thought i'd check out your latest jam and do you know what? I'm glad i did. This is bloody marvelous! I liked it right from the intro and it just carried on with the audio phatness. on Je taime - I love You by RenzWilde
Well since i've already reviewed all your current tracks i thought i'd give this another play. It really is pretty darn wicked. I love that old school bassline and i like the way you supressed the sound at the start of the track before letting it rip and bringing the je taime sample in. I like the way you've mucked about with the sound to keep the flavour interesting. Yeah i know i've said all this before but there aint no rule on multiple reviews. Good job with this.

I didn't know that twelve year olds were into rave music but there you go.
Nice track with some solid vocals (who did the singing?) The mix is nice and clean but as smallpaul said it's not deep house but that doesn't matter. You've demonstrated with this that you can make a dam good track.
Look forward to hearing more from you.

Another fine piece of trippy cinematic soundscaping from you. There's a lot of depth and feeling to this track. Your atmospheres are some of the best on this site for sure when it comes to this genre. A crystal clear mix as per usual and that bass sound is fat.
I love it! It could have gone on for several minutes more and i reckon this would make an ace backdrop to a thriller movie.

Hey Fr.
Thank you again for your tremendous support in my music.

this is one of those songs that has a great atmosphere of strange feelings involved.
the creation of atmosphere is something really cool to do.
sometimes the feeling ends up being the most important thing.

you talked about the "bass"
I always liked to use, but it is very difficult to equalize them.
sometimes I can not use because of other heavy instruments and the equalization eventually becomes complicated.

thanks for the support here.
I'm glad you enjoyed,

with respect______Anubis.
