on GnT - Colab With BigRedButton by WongKiShoo
Your stuff is always a cut above the rest so i know i'm going to like it before it even gets going. Smooth as silk mix with an easy to listen to summer time vibe. I love the synth work and dig the choice of EFX. Nice breaks and good arrangment.
I hope you manage to find yourself a vocalist because this track is just waiting for it.

on Run to You -Piano Ver- by GoldenOokami
Nice piano chords. I love the piano as a stand alone instrument and this does it justice. I can't help thinking it would make a great trance track. The layering is great as well. If you could find an acapella to go over the top of it, that would be great.

I'm happy you liked it! A trance track sounds great, if someone would work with me on it. I'm not sure I've ever attempted trance. Also, the original song was originally an A Capella track.

This is the original song here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sp7PS_UN8Lo

I appreciate the comment!

Well i have to confess i don't really know what trap is but this sounds pretty cool. The bassline is excellent and the fast cymbals are really quite infectious. You got a good grove going on. The click sounds are great, the mix is nice and smooth and i'd say this is one of the most original pieces i've heard for a while.
I enjoyed listening to this track and definitely would have downloaded it had the option been available.

This is really cool mate. Reminds me a little of the future sound of london. Great atmospherics, infectious bass and loads of groovy efx/samples. I don't know what you'd class it as either but it's great.

on 200 seconds glockenspiel trial by deciBel
This sounds really nice, that glokespiel sounds ace and really adds a whole new depth to the rest of the music. You have an ability to really bring natural sounds alive and it really is a thing of beauty. If you could find some vocals for the track this would be a hit.
Very well produced and thought out. I particularly like the ending of the tune where the drums and percussion come in.
This really is a splendid piece of music.

Beautiful is the word that comes to mind. Everything gels together really well. The pads and the piano compliment each other really well and the effects are great as well.
You really know how to express feeling with music Mr Brown and this is a prime example of that.
I really enjoyed this piece.

on Liberate---Looptrack Challenge Run 3 Entry by Spivkurl
Thats some heavy bass going on there with some nice hoover noises. It's like electronic dub and its really good. I like the way you kind of hid that crazy lead in the background so that it has a presense but doesn't over power the bass.
This is a tuuuuune.
FR
Spivkurl
Spivkurl replied 13th Jun 2014 - 11 years ago
Hey buddy, thanks for stopping in! Yep, bass ended up being a focus, and it seems like everyone is liking how it sounds so I'm happy about that. The hoover was a bit of an after though, hence the automated effect taking it over. Electronic dub, yeah that would work as a genre too, hadn't thought about that. I don't know which genre has more connotations dub or trip hop...? I wanted people to be able to find new things each time they hear the song, so that explains the hidden elements. Thanks very much for leaving a comment and for the fave!

I don't know much about hip hop so i'm stepping out of my comfort zone a bit here. It sounds pretty cool the way you've layered that vocal over the beat. I like the way the beat changes to a more tribal kind of sound.
This is a good effort.

on Charle funk a doodle by RichieWinn
Well first of all, deep house it aint. Secondly it is bloody good. As PJB said i'd bung it in the fusion genre. I love the blend of synth, guitar and that rhodes sound is excellent. I always love the clarity and arrangement of your tracks and this is no exceptio. There's some wicked soloing going on now and i can't fault this track on any level.
Cracking stuff.

on Feel The Rhythm by RenzWilde
Well since i've reviewed all your tracks i thought i'd give this another outing. I really dig the retro feel of this and i think it's the best track you've done so far. There's so much nostalgia in this tune and i love that vocal sample. It's great to see how quickly you've improved at this music malarkey as well.
Great stuff.

Great piece of metal music. The vocal work is superb and the whole thing sounds very authentic. Reminds me a little of Iron Maiden. Is it all just loops? It sounds cool as f**k!
I like the way it all goes a bit mental at the end as well.
Good job.

Never heard of jumpstyle but i have heard of the tellytubbies and yep, it sounds like them alright.
It's well produced and arranged on a positive note but a bit too happy for my taste. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
It's a well thought out track.

Wow this must be the most commented on track ever. It took me about half an hour to scroll down. Digging that vocal and the piano intro. This is truly brilliant mate. The mix is silky smooth, the synths are fat and the beat stomps. What more do you need in a track.
Fav and download without a doubt.

on Give me the night featuring Pauline Wright by RichieWinn
This is a nice bit of what i call summer time music. I'd most definitely let this one out at a garden party. The vocals really suit the track but at the same time it completely differs from the original (which i always like in a cover) It's really professionall done as all your pieces are.
Now i'm just going to kick back and finish my smoke whilst i listen to the rest.
Wonderfull piece of music.

Hi FR

I am really very grateful for your comments on the track. It's good to have such positive feedback and to know how our efforts are appreciated. The arrangement is very much based on the Randy Crawford Chill Mix but with a few additions of our own. Glad you liked it.

OK, enjoy the summer, the track and your smoke!

Best regards

This is really great. The scales are all over the shop, the music is cool sounding, the arrangement is beautifully constructed and that drumming is superb. This sounds like a really complicated piece to put together. It must have taken you a while to do this.
Perhaps you should have a go at flower arranging yourself.

I keep trying to make dubstep but so far i haven't been successful. Those growling basslines are pretty fucked up. It sounds like you must have taken you time with this one. Dark and moody, just the way we like it. The piano is a light sound but somehow manages to blend in with the darkness of the bass. It shouldn't work but it does.
Really enjoyed this track.

Thanks for taking a listen to one of my older ones! Listening to this again, I honestly don't know how long it took me to do. It was a very dub influenced dubstep I think. I didn't have nearly as much to work with back then, and I think it shows in the type of sounds as compared to my new stuff. I do like the contrast in here though. I really appreciate the feedback, I don't get listens on the older stuff nearly enough.

This has really great atmosphere right from the beginning. That guitar lick is great. Is that a loop? The piece is very dreamy and the ambience is superb. I like the way you used the wind chimes as a rhytm instrument.
The second part is more intense and would make a nice background to a car chase or something. I would have likes that bit to have gone on for a bit longer as it sounded like breakbeat which i'm a fan of.
I really enjoy your pieces when i stop by and this is no exception.

FR dear , Hi after a while & appologY for late replY .
many thnx for attention , shared analytic point of view & idea of a longer part (for second part) which is worth considering . regarding gutars yes according to my fingers problem in that time ( when I had composed this ) there're some loops and few changed loops in its guitar but if U're minded to listen my electric guitar playing I'll be glad to know your idea about nother trial of mine which name is '' No to child labour '' , despite I underestand progressive metal is far from your musical interests...

Ha! since my track is already at the top i can't be accused of bumping my own! So here it comes...................
GREAT TRACK!

No seriously, it's started off very well. Is that you singing? It's always nice when someone can sing in key and has an understanding of mic dynamics. Lyrically it's very good, the instruments blend well together and the mix is clean. So all in all great track sums it up in a nutshell.
So i'm just going to fill up the rest of the review with twaddle so i can still be typing when the track finishes. Did you see lizard lick towing last night? I'm kidding. This is a very professionally put together piece and was a pleasure to listen to.

I like a bit of techno so i thought i'd drop by and check this out. Sounding good so far. I see you've gone for a deep sound which is nice. The sampling is good, the vibe is good and it's actually quite uplifting for a techno track which is unusual. I dig this so much it's got to be one for the MP3.

Hi FR. Thanks for the nice comments. The main plug in that helps with the mixdown is a mastering software called Izotope 5 which has great mastering one click settings. The DAW is FL Studio and some of the synths are Rob Papens Predator and Rhythm Guitar, and Purity.
Kind regards
