on Apocalypse Ft ImproveWithError and TaraToxic by SeriouslyJoking
Well this is something a bit different. The into is kind of ambient or chill out and then it progresses into a slow kind of breakbeat number. Like the swirling pads, the bass and the piano.
The vocals are kind of hypnotic as well.
A mellow number with lots of original ideas.
I enjoyed it.

on The Love Alchemist - CD Quality by PaNeGyRiZe
This is excellent. The vocals and lyrics are great. The piano lick is brilliant and the whole song gels together really well.
The mix quality is good and i like the fact there's just a little bit of background hiss, it gives it that authentic live feel.
I loved this.

on The Flying Spaghetti Monster Touched Me by glados666
A bit of up tempo techono. We don't get much of that round here so it's nice to hear a bit of bom bom bom for a change.
Again it's got that arcade kind of feel to it with a techno edge. I like the 8 bit leads and the booming drums.
This is a nice little number.

on Do Better Ft Maaka N BEATZMODE by SeriouslyJoking
This is sounding really good. The vocal matches the track really well, the drums are different, i've not heard anyone do a beat like that so congrats for trying something original. The breakdowns are nice and i like the progression of the synths.
You've done a good job with this one.

Hi FR!
Yeah, the drum line is different, I made two of them and put them together in various ways.

Thanks for listening and the review!
I'm glad you actually liked it.

Cheers!

on Modnex - Shine Bright by Modnex
This is a nice, bright uplifting house number, like the use of synths and the summer time vibe. It's got a real new school feel to it and the arrangement is superb. The mix is nice and clean as well.
I dig this track.

Thanks my friend! I'm happy you enjoyed it. I also agree this does have a summer feel to it and that's great considering the fact that I uploaded this one day after summer started :)! Thanks for the kind words and for stopping by. Take care!

Nice old school flavours going on here. Very well arranged and mixed. This would go down a treat on any dance floor.
Particularly like the sax and the basslines.
Cool stuff.

on One of Those Things by Cestevens1783
Wow! This is something special. Nice blend of vocals and acoustic guitar. Very well written, well arranged and mixed down beautifully. This is the best track i've heard today. 3 and a half minutes of pure gold.
I can't help thinking this would remix really well as a trance track.
Thanks for sharing.

on ShortBusMusic vs Magix by beerling1970
This is sounding really good mate, Love the usage of the acid synth as a chill out lead, it works really well. Then there's the piano which is sounding pretty hot as well.
It's a nice slow builder with some really great layering and arrangement.
I have to say this isn't what i expect from you but it's sounding great.

on INTO YOU BABY by smallpaul
Thought i'd stay for a second as the last was so good. This one has a more tribal feel to it in the intro then it goes a bit jazzy sounding. Like the incorporation of the vocals, it sounds sweet mate. I gotta try and do some more chill out as this is inspiring stuff. It sounds like something from 21st century soul.
Excellent stuff.

on for you i will be myself by smallpaul
I'm instantly recognising one of Eshar's accapellas (what's happened to that chick?)
Anyway, This is sounding good mate. It's like something off of cafe del mar with a bit of 80's influence. Well mixed and flowing niceley. What do you use for your pad sounds? I don't have anything like that.
Really enjoyed this one and i'm suprized that i hadn't already heard it.

on Der Teufel by joecramer
We don't get too much reggae on this site so it's nice to hear a piece in this style done well. The vocals are great (even though i can't understand them) This is a really well arranged tune, the mix is good and the vibe is happening.
I really enjoyed listening to this piece of tunage.

It is realy nice to hear that you like this little piece of music.
It is, like most of the music i produce, a kind of a demo song. So i think next i have to go outside and look for a band to play it live

Thanks a lot for the friendly comment and i am realy happy that i entertain you in a way

on Corrupted Files From My Mind by glados666
I'm liking this. The bassline is kind of techno and then it goes a bit f**ked up. I like your style as i'm always kept well entertained by your love of retro sounds. You should be writing themes for computer games. This would go brilliantly in a twisted platform game (and some of it would go down well in a nightclub as well)
Very original.

on Two Seasons by steve010101
I like the way you blend the vocals in with the synth. The intro reminded me a little of an old war flute player or something. The bird noises are pretty trippy as is the vocal with the panning effect. It's a hard track to put in any particular genre so i'll have to say it's a pretty original piece.
Good work.

Nice intro though.

on A First by Livingsoulsdie
Well this is sounding pretty good so far. For a first track it's excellent. I notice though that the kick drum is drowned out a little by the bass but the melodies and arpegios are all good. I think you just need a punchier kick drum and this would be a blinder.
I enjoyed listening to this.

Thanks man I appreciate the comment. I agree the kick is drowned out pretty bad by the bass. I obviously didn't notice as I was listening to it . Thanks for the comment :)

on AZZYKO - MINDBLOW by AZZYKO
The intro sounds more like regular dub than dubstep but that aint a bad thing because i like dub but hang on, here we go with the wubs. You definitely have the hang of this dubstep malarkey, this is sounding cooool. I like it

on Liberate Vocal Mix by Spivkurl
Nice deep pounding bass and then we're in with the vocal. This is all sounding pretty cool. It's got that cyberpunk feel to it again. The hoovers are nice although they could perhaps be a little louder. I like your crazy vocals though, I must have a go at some lyrics sometime. It's inspiring stuff.
Definitely one for the favs.

Spivkurl replied 20th Jun 2014 - 11 years ago
Thank you my friend for being the first to leave a comment! The bass definitely anchors the tone and groove of the song, I still can't believe how well the two loops went together. Cyberpunk, that's great! Was sort of the essence I was trying to inject here. I hear what you're saying about the hoovers, and I thank you for the suggestion. I guess I have the hoovers almost instantly begin to be overtaken by a manipulative effect, maybe I could slow it down a little. I love hoovers, but they're so overused, so I tried to give the feel of loss if you know what I mean. So happy you enjoyed the vocals! Tried some new things vocal wise this time, and I think it mostly worked out. Like DesignedImpression just said, they might be too much, who can tell this far in? The only problem is when listening in mono, the vocoder part isn't really heard. Thanks so much for the comment and fave!

on TECHROCK by DESTERO
This is sounding good so far. Nice trance pads and leads a plenty in the first section. It was a great build up to where the lead guitar comes in and the two parts work really well. Thats some pretty intense shredding going on there and i dig the breakbeat pattern as well.
Superb!

on A lake on the hill by Anubis
Yeah i'm liking it. Dig the sonar kind of vibe to it, i can see what you mean by aquatic, like cruising through the depths in a submarine. The choice of synths are great, i love that little stab that sounds almost like a siren.
The string section is great and the vibe of the track is mellow but haunting.
This is a really interesting piece.

Hey Fr

thanks for all the support.

this song is not anything too complex, just the feeling is something I try to convey.
this musical genre is strange, unknown.
I do not know for sure where he belonged.
just let your imagination flow ..

Right, this is my third attempt at reviewing this track because my connection keeps cutting off and i'm getting infuriated with it.
I'm going to do away with the long review this time and just say that i enjoyed listening to this track.
You've hit the bullseye with this one (so good i'm on my third listen)

Hey matey - appreciate the effort in writing :)

(usually LM website crashes on me and I end up writing reviews in Word, saving often, and then pasting them in - effing computers...)

Means a lot you like though as your stuff is very impressive, especially as mastering on house tracks is so tricky and you're spot on with that stuff.

Think I might have over compressed this last one as it sounds loud, but a bit mushy on headphones since last week, but still tinkering...

Anyway thanks. And again, that section 2:45 to the amazing kick at 3:15 on Series of Riffs is a fantastic groove - please do something with it - really took me back to the Mandy days :))))

Old is cool.

Good to have you back on board first of all. We all need a break from time to time.
This is really intricate sounding as well as being dark and moody. Loving those bass sounds. This would make an excellent backdrop for a first person shooter game or something. It sounds like it must have taken you a while to put together. Those hat sounds are insane.
I don't hear anyone else making music like this on this site and you've really set the bar high with this atmospheric glitchy piece of tunage.
Definitely going in the favs.

I'm g;ad you enjoyed it hats are layered with a glitched version of themselves and then a reverbed layer through a send and then dropped out..and then did the same to twice with and added panned layer ..

thanks for the listen brother and thanks for the welcome back

I like dub so i thought i'd home in on this one. Sounds more dub step than dub but it's well mixed and well arranged. Like your synth work on this but it needs to be a bit longer. I was just getting into it then it stopped.
